I was in the mood for General Tao's Chicken tonight, and decided to give China Dragon a try. The chicken was nice and crispy,and had a nice kick to it, but the flavor was a little bit different than what I'm used to. The combo meal came with pork fried rice,and it had plenty of pork in it. I get the same thing every time.....Szechuan chicken, extra spicy......and their version of it is excellent. It's flavorful, fresh, and just a little spicy. The portions are also quite generous. I'm a big guy with a big appetite, and their "large" is enough for a filling dinner AND a full lunch the next day. The service is always prompt, too. The last two times I was there I ordered General Tso's chicken. Both orders were hard, dry and chewy. The last visit on Saturday I ordered BBQ boneless spare ribs and it was like beef jerky. It was my first time going here. Parking is adequate not well lit at night. food is less greasy then most Chinese food. we got sweet and sour chicken, chicken low main, vegetable egg foo young, chicken with garlic sauce, pork fried rice, and white. The food was better then most places in the area very flavorful. Noodles were a little under cooked to what I like but my family of five loved them. Chicken was good sweet and sour sauce was good but we got it on the side. Rice was a little undercooked but some people like it still crunchy . I loved the egg foo you did sauce was great and patties delicious and my husband ate his chicken with garlic sauce with a smile on his face. Overall the experience wasn't horrible during Covid they only have outdoor pick up at a window on the side. I would probably go back and try them again. read more

This was the first time I went to this establishment. I would have gave this restaurant 5 stars but they made a mistake with my order. I called and placed an order for large wonton, 2 egg rolls, large fried rice, pork dumplings and boneless rib combo. Instead of getting a large fried rice they gave me a large white rice which I didn't realize until got home. I will try them again but will make sure to check my order before I drive away. read more

Unfortunately, my last experience was not a good one. My mother and I had called ahead and placed our order. We then went to the restaurant about 30 mins later. We walked in and the counter had 1 customer. He was taken care of and left. The woman looked right at us and walked away. Another customer came up to the counter and was helped right away. We were still left standing there. Finally, my mom bullied her way to the register. We were both gobsmacked about how expensive they had become!! I understand raising your prices over time, but our usual order was $15 more than it was 2 months prior. Finally we get home... The food was kind of bland. I had vegetable fried rice with egg. I had to drown it in soy sauce to get a flavor. I also found pieces of meat in my rice. I'm a vegetarian...I would have been fine with this if anyone else in my party had ordered friend rice with meat in it. Maybe an oops, but they didn't so this was straight up cross contamination. Such a shame...this was the best place in town. I've been going for 25 years and don't really go anywhere else for chinese food. read more

I originally stumbled into China Dragon with a sore throat and in dire need of some wonton soup. Since just ordering soup from the giant menu seemed crazy, I also got the shrimp lo mein. My order was ready quickly and came with those irresistible crunchy, fried noodles. Both the wonton soup and the lo mein were pleasantly surprising given how China Dragon appears on the outside. The soup's broth had a nice depth of flavor and the actual wontons were light and yummy. The lo mein was not too greasy and the shrimp were plump and fresh. I've had my fair share of lo meins, and this one made it to the top of the list. On my second excursion to China Dragon, I ordered one of their combo plates: shrimp and broccoli that came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I also wanted to try another appetizer, so I got the vegetable dumplings (pan-fried). Although this was still pretty good, I was not as impressed with this choice as I had been during my first go-around. The vegetable dumplings were not that flavorful and too doughy for my taste. Also, I assumed pan-fried meant that they would be a bit crispy, but they weren't. Perhaps this was because their own steam made them soggy. The shrimp and broccoli tasted good, but it was lacking in serious flavor. Again, the products seemed fresh and high-quality. The pork fried rice was also tasty, but it was a little overcooked and gummy. All in all, I will definitely be ordered from China Dragon again, as there are so many choices to try! read more

I think folks have not had really good Chinese food. I have to say that some of the dishes I had at my college cafeteria were better than this place. I used to love Shangra-Lee in Cheshire, but it has since closed. Unfortunately, I still go to China Dragon often because it is 2 minutes from my house and contains calories which fuel my body. I do like the String Bean & Broccoli and their egg rolls are tasty. The pork fried rice, chicken with garlic sauce, sesame chicken, and lo mein are all tasteless. The General Tso's is acceptable. I've tried Dragon Buffet take-out, but they are basically the same. The buffet does some things better and China Dragon does other things better. A draw. read more

We decided we were in the mood for ordered Chinese food so we ordered a quart of chicken lo mein and steak with mixed vegetables. When I went to serve I put some in a bowl. The chicken lo mein wasn't even edible then I tried the steak and vegetable same thing you could not eat it. It was like they dropped the food in the Dead Sea then drained it and serve it. It was so salty & we couldn't eat it I called and explained & I was told don't understand what your saying, so I said you understood when I place my order. The food is usually really good as far as Chinese food goes. It's not over greasy. Rich in flavor. They are very fast. I am grateful for them during covid. They made date night at home a possibility. Only dropped a star because sometimes during the really busy nights, they will mess an order up. We always just eat whatever they give us, but sometimes its something we can't eat. My family and I have been ordering from China Dragon since early 00's when we moved. Here in Cheshire there is not ONE single DELIVERY Chinese restaurant, this is what this place lacks. I wish they delivered, they would make a killing in this town. Regardless of that, I have never had a bad meal here. Their BBQ spare ribs are tasty, very fresh. Sometimes when we order the lo-mien it is a little oily. My mom always orders everything hot and spicy, and they will bring it if you ask for it!!!
