Never recieved an egg roll as part of my order and no sauces were included. Called the restaurant and was told to contact DoorDash to reconcile issue. No help at all. Regarding the food - terrible. Love this Chinese food spot. You know I'm a new Yorker and we have the best Chinese food but this is the best in Connecticut!!! Their fried chicken is the best! It isn't precooked waiting to be reheated. It is just battered and waiting to go in Fresh! Can't go wrong with getting 5 wings in an order either !!! Ordered for the first time and very disappointing. Specifically asked for extra sauce on our dinners and more on the side, and as can be seen in the photos, we got very little and none on the side. Rice was overcooked and bland. Meat was very chewy and tasted old. Called the restaurant and the guy was extremely rude. Hing Wong no longer offers delivery. Their pricing is very expensive when compared to other Chinese Restaurants. I ordered chicken lo mein and I had a difficult time finding the chicken. When I did find something I thought was chicken, it was not. It appeared to be a gelatinous blob of something maybe soy, tofu, or maybe chicken fat, not sure, it didn't have the texture of chicken. There wasn't alot of it. I also noticed there were hardly any vegetables in it either. I normally order take-out from a Chinese restaurant in Bristol, unfortunately they were closed for two days and decided to give Hing Wong another chance. We used to order from them the better part of 12 years or so as they are right down the street from where we live. They have gone seriously down hill over the years. Angry staff, low quality food, and "VERY EXPENSIVE" when compared to other Chinese restaurants. Ordered over the phone, wife told them lots of soy and duck sauce. When I went to pick it up, there was no sauce at all with the order. I had to ask for it, and they were annoyed by my request. I don't recommend Hing Wong to anyone. Best to stay away from this expensive, low quality food. One star or less. read more

If you are from Puerto Rico and miss the awesome Chinese rice this is the place to come the rice doesn't have that fake yellow color that most places have, yellow and flavorless. I just ordered $60 worth from Hing Wong and it was God awful. Normally, they're my back up because they always deliver, but they were never the greatest. Tonight was the final straw though. They forgot the eggrolls, the food we did get was either burnt or tasted like it had been sitting out all day, one meal had a hair in it, another meal had a french fry and a wonton in it, and the soup tasted like pure salt. We called and complained and the guy was rude and yelled at us. We argued with him for our money back and he was a complete ass saying WE had to drive the food back down. In the end, the driver (who was quite nice and completely understanding--we ended up letting him keep his tip) brought us the food back and we're getting grinders now. I will NEVER order from Hing Wong again. It's a shame! read more

There are loads of Chinese food establishments in the Waterbury area that do not rush you through your order, roll their eyes while you adjust to their different menu or get nasty when you ask them if a request can be accommodated. I have never seen their menu, it's really different as far as what combo meals they offer. We were so uncomfortable while ordering our food, the kid behind the counter was rolling his eyes and just looked really irritated and I just wanted to leave. Food is randomly tasteless. Never know what you're going to get. I also ask for hot mustard and hot sauce two to three times per call and they will only bring maybe one or two hot sauces with the regular sauces I don't ask for.. I finally called and asked why they never send hot mustard, is it like really expensive or something???? She told me "you have to ask for it." I told her I ask EVERY time and she said "No, you asked for extra regular sauce, like duck and soy." Wow. Thanks for listening. For the tenth time....think I'm done.
