Food options are decent with three Buffet rows but everything is plastic from the plates to the silverware and the place is run down and dirty.

Atmosphere - Strip Mall decor. It was around 8pm and we were in the mood for Chinese food. Unfortunately, in the area the options were limited. Especially at that time of night. We are not crazy about buffets, but we decided to give this a try. The restaurant is somewhat dingy and the furniture is cheap and dated. There is a combination of booths and tables. They use paper plates and plastic cutlery (which I assume is due to Covid). Service - Good. Not much to do for a staff person in a buffet, but bring drinks, clear tables of used service items, and keep the food trays full at the buffet. All areas of service were handled well and promptly. Food - Average. The selection was very limited in terms of Chinese food items. In fact, there were nearly as many "American food items". What there was, was hot and tasted OK. I especially liked the Hot n Sour soup. The chicken lo mein was bland with very little chicken. The fried rice was not very good. The sweet n sour chicken, the General Tso's chicken and Teriyaki chicken were decent as well, but they were not as hot (temperature wise) as I would have preferred. Overall - Just OK. If I were to return to the area and wanted Chinese food I would look for other options

We were craving Chinese food after a Pickleball tournament and discovered this place tucked away in a strip mall. We haven't done anything like this since the pandemic and were a little anxious about it, but since we have both had the vaccine we gave it a try. The restaurant is fairly large and all employees wear masks. All plates and utensils are plastic and styrofoam, so not my favorite way to eat. One buffet had soups and eggs rolls, spring rolls, etc. The soup was extremely hot, but the wonton soup was very good. The egg roll was good also. Next stop was the entree station. Not as much to choose from as I had anticipated. General Tso's, Lo Mein, teriyaki chicken and some others. The other buffet was full of American food which isn't why we came here, so that was disappointing. There was also a salad and dessert bar. The dessert bar was pretty picked over so we didn't find anything interesting. They did have a chocolate fountain that you could dip marshmallows as well as cookies. Prices were decent, and food was decent, just nothing outstanding.

This place is great, the food is fabulous even at 2pm. Love the Wings, Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo or Franks. The buffet was always full and delicious, really great food, they have a chef and not a cook.

It was the normal Chinese buffet! Food was like most others I've been to.

    Food was hot!

The service was fantastic and the workers are nice here. I love their chicken and Broccoli and their egg drop soup.

Specifically inquired before ordering and was told center cut and 2 oz more. When they went to cook it, we ordered all 3 medium rare. The cook put all 3 steaks together on the hibachi and cooked them to medium- bordering on medium well done. Then he divided the steak up between the 3 of us giving 1 person a few more pieces I guess because it was the Imperial. I advise you to skip the Imperial as it's not the center cut filet mignon. When the bill came and they boxed left overs up, they offered yum yum sauce which we asked for. Was given empty containers, never came back with sauce. Wasn't acknowledged by the 3 women at the desk when we left. All in all average. Not friendly, but not rude. Just indifferent, and not overly attentive. My son does

It was good timing as there were only a couple tables filled. Took a while for us to arrive at a decision as Tougen has soooooo many great choices. We ordered Miso Soup as a starter - some of the best we've had. We also ordered some Specialty Rolls: All In; 381; and Crazy Dragon. All In - Shrimp tempura, tuna, salmon, spicy crab, mango, cream cheese, and avocado. Eel sauce, spicy mayo, crunch and fish roe. 381- Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, and crunch. Topped with a layer of tuna and avocado. Eel sauce, spicy mayo and crunch. Crazy Dragon - Spicy crab, cream cheese, and avocado. Topped with spicy tuna and jalapeño and seared. It took an inordinate amount of time for our food (30+ minutes), especially when there were only 2 other tables and 2 take out orders. Not like Tougen at all. The food was delicious as usual...

Insane gem in Toledo. I do have to say "no, SERIOUSLY" when I talk about this spot to friends and…read moream generally met with (understandable!) skepticism that sushi in the Midwest could be so phenomenal. 6/5 stars. The omakase is a must experience for any foodie and especially for anyone who loves sushi & yakitori! Came here for the first time 4 years ago, and again a few weeks ago. What struck me is that the same head sushi chef was there then and now and that they haven't really changed the menu too much. Yes absolutely there were new and creative twists, but there are tried and true staples which have been mastered. That feels like their vibe overall - friendly, neighborly, confidence in what they have and will keep doing what they're doing, seemingly resisting any pressure to expand or get bigger. It's perfection! The omakase menu has three phases: chef's kitchen, yakitori, sushi (gorgeous nigiri courses finished with the most insane cut roll I've ever had). Everything is delicious. No misses. My favorite phase is the sushi. We STARTED that off with the most melty buttery otoro. I thought that was bold, surely it could only go downhill from there. I was proved wrong bite after bite!! Seriously, imagine a series of nigiri bites that hold their own after the BEST. Of the yakitori, the chicken meatballs were my fave, so juicy never change. Highest quality, well crafted, expertly executed menu. Lowkey I also love that this omakase ends with the most delicious cut roll, and not dessert. As a savory girl through and through, this is perfect. The onlyyyy downside is that all the rich food gives me a bit of a stomachache afterwards :D. 10000% worth it.

Wow... everything was delicious!…read more This place gets very busy. As in, they write your name on the door outside busy. Such a good idea. Thankfully, we arrived before the rush. The restaurant is small, with seating at the bar, around the sushi counter, and a handful of tables. The drinks were good, and the food was excellent quality at reasonable prices. Don't bother looking on their website for a menu like I did. The menu is handwritten daily and changes based on what's fresh and available. If you're not a fan of sushi, don't worry. They have a great selection of Yakitori for those looking for something different. My husband had the Beef Tongue, Pork Belly, and the Kurobuta (Berkshire pork) Sausage. He enjoyed all of them. The sausage was good, but it tasted like a fairly typical sausage and was on the smaller side. I had the Mango Kengo roll, which was very well done. The salmon was incredibly fresh. It was a little spicier than I prefer because of the Togarashi seasoning, which also seems to accompany many of the yakitori dishes. We also ordered the Ika Maruyaki (grilled squid). We both love squid, especially when it's prepared this way, but this dish just wasn't as good as we had hoped. We were both a little underwhelmed. The sushi and sashimi were beautifully sliced, incredibly fresh, and definitely high quality. I tried the Madai for the first time and really enjoyed it. The fluke was excellent, and the salmon was exactly what you'd expect from high quality salmon. I finally tried Uni as well. It was very fresh, but I learned it's just not for me. Overall, I'm very excited to go back and try more of the menu. I do wish the server was friendlier.
