Decent little buffet. It was okay. We came at 2pm and lunch for 2 was over $25 with water to drink. Nice staff and they were very active. Keeping up on things. It was just nice over all. Some of the food was just okay. The ice cream selection was nice read more

Gotta be a little tongue-in-cheek here with these other reviewers... I glad I didn't listen to them! Listen. If you go to a Chinese buffet to be waited on attentively, you've got the wrong set of expectations. Give me my water, leave me alone, and don't look at me while I stuff my face. Just ensure that fresh dishes keep coming. In that sense, this buffet was more than adequate. I support family owned places like this. I took my brother-in-law, and my kids. My kids are picky, but they found something to fill up on. Will you feel like crap after? Maybe... but you went to a BUFFET! Come on. Think about it. Aren't you supposed to at least feel like you ate more than you should've? Come for the right reasons, and you won't be disappointed. Five stars to counteract the negative reviews. Real rating: 4 stars. The food was great, but too much pandering to the Midwestern palate. Make sure you try the chicken skewers. They used the spices I recognize from traditional Chinese cuisine. read more

Oh you're definitely get a 5 today. 1. Nice people walking in. The lady was cool. 2. To go plate was 4.00 less than back home 3. Seating area looked nice and the bathrooms were sketchy. It's a necessity in the buffet world. 4. Food was decent. It's buffet food. The food the hot, done and seasoned. ( fish was meh but there's enough options to not complain) 5. The quantity was good for the price. read more

Ok for a buffet, mainly used for carry out. Chicken items a little dry. Service is fast, better to eat in to pick your items!

Very old on the inside. The seats are falling apart. The food wasn't great. It made me wonder if the kitchen was clean

This place does not look like Much but we had a great lunch there. Lots of variety. Clean. Homemade items. Loved the stuffed shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, peanut chicken, and crab rangoon. Fresh pineapple and melon. They were super understanding of my special needs son. We will definitely be back! Great value as well! read more

First time here. I can easily and happily say, this has become my favorite restaurant ever ! And I will definitely come back here as many times as I can ! Here's why : - The place is a buffet, and they have almost all kinds of food you can imagine (Steak, Mac& Cheese, all kinds of Chicken, Rice, Noodles, Mozzarella Sticks, Seafood, Cake, Puddings, Ice Cream, Rangoon and other stuff). The surprising part was, THEY WERE ALL DELICIOUS !! - The staff are so welcoming and friendly with happy smiles and great service - The place was clean, neat and quiet in a pleasant way to enjoy food peacefully - The best part is, that their buffet is only worth almost $11 per person, such and amazing price for an amazing combination At the end, if you've never been here, take my advice and try this place ASAP ! read more

Great food. Love staff. I like the seafood night the most. Plus take out options are awesome.

Chinese buffets are hit or miss, this one is a miss. When you enter there is some people at the closest booth to greet you. Not at the host stand nearby. The place smells like wet chicken from the poultry farm. The host ask your drink and you're pretty much left to fend. Which is expected of a buffet restaurant. Expect to fend against unsanitary people grabbing the food and not caring about others diligence. The selection was great but limited and not labeled correctly. The host did ask me not to post pictures as apparently they gotten much bad press. This place could use a good upgrade and sanitation review. The bathrooms was horrid, makes me wonder about their kitchen. read more

Don't do it. Just don't. Not worth the money, the frustration and feeling like crap after eating.

I'll be honest seeing reviews on this place put me very un easy with coming here, but to my surprise it was really good! The food was either hit or miss but still enjoyable. The chefs from the back were on top of re stocking the dishes and items from the bar. Price was a little more expensive since I came here last in 2019, $14.95 for full access to the bar! read more

First time there. for takie outie (lol) wife was happy with the the food. Happy wife Happy life. So will be back read more

If I could do a -1 that would be too high. This was quite possibly the worst buffet I've ever been to. Food was cold and sub par. Chicken wings were not done, rangoons had no flavor and an off taste, stuffed mushrooms were terrible, Mac & Cheese was cold & runny (how do you screw up Mac & cheese?), Green beans were just ok. The sweet and sour sauce was so watered down there was no taste and light pink. The egg drop soup was orange. Absolutely terrible. The place itself seemed clean but run down. Not a chance in hell of a return trip!! read more

Poor service Hrs don't match what they advertise online Greeter was just rude I won't be going back read more

You remember the story of the moth drawn to the flame. Well, this moth has an insane theory that maybe a place will be better if I try it again after a few years. What could be wrong? Lots of choices to try; some of them have to be good. WRONG AGAIN, LITTLE MOTH!!! A cute little girl, I assume a daughter of one of the employees, was running around the dining room, playing and having fun. I noted torn booths before I sat down. There are three buffet stations; the items have a sign overhead, written in Cantonese (I guess) but nothing in English. Weird. What are those little fried things??? Food was overall below average. The sodas were kept full and dirty dishes removed promptly; that's what service is all about at buffets. My last visit.. read more

Not too bad actually for a little Chinese buffet restaurant in a little town. The offerings of course are not as extensive as those in bigger cities but they were freshly cooked and tasty. read more

I have been to too many China Buffets to count, from Los Angeles to Chicago and beyond. I visited my sister in South Haven this past week (1st week, November 2011) and while at the Dollar Store, spied this China Buffet. We decided to take a chance and have a little lunch. The decor is clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly. The selection was quite good - much like other China Buffets. Every dish that we both ate we really enjoyed and the food was fresh and hot. The Hot and Sour soup was really some of the best I've ever had. The stuffed mushrooms were awesome. The many chicken dishes were delightful. The chicken egg roll was one of my favorites; it was a larger version and lightly breaded. Really, for the price, this place is a true bargain. The lunch is around $7 and the $8.95 dinner is a great price, too. If you want some great Chinese food in this area, check this place out. I don't know what happened on the day the other reviewer was there, but we thought it was really good and plan to return. As China Buffets go, this place, to me, was simply outstanding. My sister liked it so much that she said she will be back and will also order take-out from them! I can definitely see myself going back when I'm in the area. read more

Had a great experience in this Buffet. Food tasted good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great price! read more

I have eating at a lot of Chinese restaurant and this place has the worst Chinese food, the food is not fresh over cook and burnt and no taste and grease, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and can't believe it's still in business.and the only reason I gave it one star because the service was ok. read more

On our way to Detroit from Chicago, we were looking for Chinese food and found China Buffet. The review was not that great - two and a half stars. We hesitated but decided to take a look before sitting down. With lots of dishes, fruit and desert, we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a great lunch. The food, of course, cannot be compared to authentic Chinese restaurants in big cities, but it has so many varieties. The taste is not bad, too. Plus the lunch is only $7.49. This is really a great deal. The restroom is also clean. We were so happy to run into this place on our journey. read more

Solid Two Star Place. The food was pretty blandish and also extremely unhealthy. Also every thing seemed to taste a little bit off. The interior was old and only semi cleanish. It was also frustrating that they charge for drinks with out making it clear that drinks are extra. A big plus is that they have Sherman ice-cream! read more

I love this place. They have the best noodles. I have tried so many different Chinese buffets but no one has noddles like this place. They are perfect. I also love their pepper steak and shrimp. The staff is always friendly and attentive. read more

It takes a lot wrong to make me not like a Chinese buffet but this place managed. But, hey, if you like cold food that tastes a little weird, this is for you! Especially if you like your hot and sour soup neither - with absolutely nothing in it but blah broth. Bummer because I was craving Chinese - first time I ever left a buffet hungry! read more

We have tried this place a few times now and it continues to be a big disappointment. The buffet has lots of options yet most are over cooked or too similar. Our last time was awful. South Haven needs a good Chinese restaurant but this is not the place. read more

Food taste better than most China beffets. Not a huge selection of food but a good amount. I would most defiantly come back.

I'm pretty sure if this place went out of business not many people would miss it. There was no fresh food, it was cold and burnt from sitting in the pan too long. I watched the server sit down in a booth with her family to eat and call dhs on speaker phone. Who does that?!?!? read more

if I COULD GIVE A LESSER RATING I WOULD! Arrived at approx. 2 hrs. BEFORE closing and the food was almost gone. What was remaining was dried to the bottom of the pans. I requested that the food be replenished and was greeted with a smile and that was it. I ate what was there but not what I wanted. Over 30 minutes later, still no fresh food. As I went to pay the check I was asked if everything was alright, I said no and proceeded to tell the manager why. She looked at me and angrily said; "we don't want to waste food, we are closing soon!" I reminded her that there was still over 1.5 hours left and there she was at 3/4 capacity of customers. I told her that EVERY CUSTOMER who is charged FULL price should expect to have the EXACT SAME experience and food choices as the FIRST customer for the entire time the restaurant was open! When asked; she refused to give me her name. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call The Health Department. read more

Walked into the building and had second thoughts from the starts...should have followed my gut. The place was not very clean and well worn. A lot of food selection, unfortunately it was not labeled and if it was we couldn't read it. Food was cold and all all tasted about the same. Service was mediocre. We will NOT be going back and advise others to save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Food is normally cold and not fresh. Workers are usually good about making sure there is no food on the tables and you have enough to drink. I heard they have cock roaches though. read more

Since we are locals, we have eaten lunch here a few times. The food, although mediocre, has been for the most part warm and refilled. Our daughter and 3 grandchildren we with us this evening. Most of the food was inedible since it was cold and stale. The shrimp coating was gelatinous and other breadings set hard. The gravy for the egg foo yung had a congealed. Waitress came back once and we told her the food was cold. She replied, I"ll let them know." No apology, no offer to make it right - nothing! The restaurant was more unkept than usual with booths piled atop one another and a table across from us littered with things one of the employees was using to entertain a child. My daughter spoke with the manager before she paid the bill and asked for an adjustment since the food was so bad. He told her they hadn't been busy today and the food had been sitting. He did take off 15% but the bill was still over $50 for three adults, a child and a baby. I hope none of us get sick tonight from eating food that was standing since lunch. To add insult to injury, The two year old wanted a ball from the machine when we left. Put the quarter in the machine, machine kept the quarter - no ball. When I asked the cashier (our waitress) if she could make this right or give me another quarter, she looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. Needless to say, this is the last time we will go there. A frozen bag of dumplings and egg rolls will work fine! read more
