My fresh lo mein noodles that I had them make. Delicious
Justin E.

Still my favorite Chinese buffet. Dinner is better but you can't beat the lunch price. Even at lunch they still offer a fresh hibachi station. I love to get fresh lo mein noodles, stir fried to my liking ^_^ the waiters are always very kind and pleasant as well.

Do not come here for good food at all. If you are in need of a lot of terrible food for a decent price, then this is your spot otherwise stay away. The decor when you first walk in is pretty eclectic but that's the only thing good about this place. The service - well there was none. Don't plan on getting any water or having someone at the hibachi station to make you something. In reality though you don't want anyone at that station though because it was beyond awful. The "Chinese" food and I guess the "American" food were all good defrosted from a freezer bag and thrown under a hot light buffet. The ice cream was even messed up having freezer burn all over it. Last but not least my boyfriends dad even got sick while still in the restaurant. Again don't come here.

There is no Dr Pepper provided. I cannot stand this. Also, the place is serving strange Chinese food. This is not even Chinese. Coming from China, I don't think it is authentic. Friends and I would vomit after having a single taste.

a variety of food items in a buffet

So this was our first time eating at China Buffet and it went like this...First off there's plenty of safe plaza parking and easy entrance for those who may need it...Next the room is huge and easy to get around...As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a server and directed to our table and told to go ahead and to the buffet...Now as we all know if you have seen one buffet you've seen them all and this is one is no different...6 kinds of chicken dishes, a fish dish, a meat dish or two, rice, soup, salads, noodles, sushi and here there is a grilling option which I do like...The hot and sour soup was just blah with little to no flavor...The rest of the fare was just okay and nothing really exciting or memorable...But that being said the staff was very nice and attentive to our needs...So all in all it was a cheap, fast and a consistent dinning experience of times gone by, even though it's 2023...Give them a try if you're in the area for a cheap meal...

New Number One Chinese Restaurant - Full Review 1540 W…read moreRidge Rd, Rochester, NY 14615 Boss Fights and Bites Review Series First Impressions: The moment you walk in, you're hit with that classic takeout aroma - soy, garlic, sesame oil - you already know it's about to go down. The spot has that old-school Chinese takeout vibe: simple, clean, and focused on flavor, not flash. --- What I Ordered: General Tso's Chicken Shrimp Lo Mein Crab Rangoons Egg Roll Steamed Dumplings --- General Tso's Chicken: Sweet, spicy, and crispy - exactly how it should be. The sauce had a good kick without overpowering the flavor. Chicken was tender inside with that golden crunch. Easily one of the best in the area. Shrimp Lo Mein: Noodles were cooked just right - not too greasy, not too dry. Shrimp was fresh and had good bite. Could use a little more garlic or soy for depth, but still solid. Crab Rangoons: Creamy, crunchy, and packed with flavor. These were a hit. You get that satisfying crunch with the creamy crab filling - not overly sweet like some spots do. Steamed Dumplings: Soft and juicy with a flavorful pork filling. Dipping sauce was on point. Not doughy, just right. Egg Roll: Golden and crispy with a nice balance of cabbage and pork inside. Great with the duck sauce. --- Pros: Big portions, great value Fast service Hits all the nostalgic Chinese takeout cravings Clean and well-packaged Cons: Lo mein could use a little more flavor Limited seating (best for takeout) --- Final Verdict (8.9/10): New Number One Chinese Restaurant is bringing the heat. Classic Chinese-American dishes done right. If you're craving comfort food that hits every time, this place delivers - literally and figuratively. Perfect for a late-night boss fight meal or chilling after a long grind. Let me know what YOU always order from your local Chinese spot - and drop your suggestions for the next food battle

So! Out of everything i ordered (see pics) I didn't try the soup dumpling but my kiddo (who are the whole steamer) said it was good. Everything was hot and delicious and taste like NYC dim sum (iykyk) except -the turnip cake (too oily and mushy) - fried dough noodle (too much wrapping, dough not fresh and crispy enough) - egg tarts (new and only available on weekends according to their menu - I am a BIG egg tarts fan and unfortunately these were disappointing: crust was fine but filling was baked eggs and not the classic flan-like type of an egg tarts). 3-4 other families came in for dim sum, it was more lively and they turned on low classical music so lovelier ambiance than when we first walked in. Wait staff was very friendly and polite. Only negative thing were the sticky plastic spoons they gave to share the congee bowl. After recovering from a recent stomach bug I have to be super critical of dining utensils so gotta ding a star off for that. Prices were more expensive than normal for dim sum but we were expected that - just glad they didn't decrease the quantity like some places! All in all, we would come back again for dim sum :)

We can't get enough!…read more No matter when we visit, the dining room is always bustling with patrons enjoying the delicious Vietnamese cuisine. There is plenty of booth or table space to choose from. Shaw or other servers WARMLY welcome us every time with a smile and friendly greeting. We've tried several rice dishes, and other menu items... however, the crispy fried egg rolls and chicken pho with extra vegetables, keep us coming back every time. (ADD the extra veggies!) The pho arrives, piping hot with a rich and flavorful broth. This is accompanied by a plate filled with fresh Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime, and other add-ins. I personally love adding their spicy chili oil for an extra dimension of heat. Consistently delicious food, friendly service, and a team that is always accommodating. SEA never disappoints!

We decided to visit this restaurant while in Rochester. Servers were kind and fairly efficient…read moreeven though it was pretty busy. It's probably best to come in groups of 4-5 but not more as its tables and booths are really maxed about that point. Larger groups may need to wait longer for tables to be put together. Beef pho - flavorful broth, decent amount of noodles and toppings, came out nice and hot. 4.5/5 Vermicelli noodles - vegetables were fresh, meat nicely seasoned, noodles cooked well. Spring roll was nice but on the small side. 3.5/5. We also tried their congee which was pretty good and a nice palate cleanser. Price: Pretty affordable for a Vietnamese restaurant. Would return if in area.
