I asked the lady at a store I was at how the food was here and she said it was "hit or miss" but since it was 5:30 it would probably be OK. I walked in and was greeted and seated almost immediatley. My drink order was taken but there was not much service after that, fill the drink and take old plates away. So that was fine. The food was probably as good as it can get for a buffet. Most items were very fresh and of good quality. The gyoza was hard so I did not try that and the egg rolls were just basic cabbage, not any other vegatables or meat. There were 5 bars so I did not have any trouble finding good things to eat. The sushi was minimal and pretty basic but the hibachi bar was loaded with a lot of fresh good items including steak. As far as a buffet goes this is pretty good. It isn't the quality you would get at a family style chinese restraunt but that shouldnn't be what you expect here either. Alright, I admit, I am not a buffet type of person, so when I was "dragged" here by a friend I went begrudgingly. The place was clean, although I admit the entry area is a bit strange and you walk face first into the buffet area. As off putting as that was, we were seated quickly, a fairly large group too, our drink orders were taken and we were able to get down to buffet business. My habit with these kinds of places is to walk the buffet lines a couple of times instead of just diving in. There are two things true of every buffet - 1. you're never going to get to try everything so be picky, and 2. You can't always figure out what things are so ask questions! This restaurant also offers a really good Mongolian BBQ grill where you get build your own meal. I'd check it out if I were you! Lastly, and this is important for me, the drink orders came out perfectly and their unsweetened tea is spot on. No instant concoction here, and they keep their brewing / dispensing area clean - which is important. Will I come back? I'm a once a year buffet kind of person so it isn't in my foreseeable future, but that's just me. If you are looking for 'good' Chinese food, PASS on this place. The only reason I rated this place 1 star is because there wasn't a lower grade. My Husband and I stopped by this last Sunday after a 5 hour road trip. What very few choices they offered on the buffet, there was not one dish worth eating. Most dishes were tasteless, some were cold, and others down right nasty. They had notes at every table warning of a surcharge for wasting food... I don't think people waste on purpose, they waste due to the food not being edible! The two older ladies at the register took our check and credit card without saying a single word to us. It's a small town Chinese buffet, not fancy, but they have warm food, good choices and a wonderful hibachi! I'm not one for sushi, but a lot of people eat it so it must be good here. The garlic shrimp and coconut chicken and honey chicken are good. Their dessert choices are sometimes limited, but again, the hibachi is good even though it's limited. Pick up to go order and one buffet approx twice weekly. Went in Tonite 630 pm fairly busy. No one waiting at counter just me waiting to pay. Male middle aged employee in business casual attire approached counter as I placed my to go box on scale. Other customers were just entering. He never looked at me, just as though I were invisible. He asked them how many and walked.off. I was still waiting when he came back. He continued to ignore me as two men came to the counter to pay. They said they wanted to split their check as I continued to wait. I guess he was trying to wait on the people who he thought were paying the most money first . After I ate my first bite of my spicy kung pow chicken my stage 4 cancer and my entire family's horrible arthritis. This is an average Chinese buffet, nothing spectacular. Yes, they do have oysters, but I don't think they're terribly fresh. The hibachi is nothing special; you can find that almost any Chinese buffet these days. A lot of their dishes were spicy, but the seasoning was what I expected, because it was exactly like the seasoning at every other Chinese buffet I go to. And, like every other Chinese buffet, they insist on calling pollock & shrimp "seafood delight." Typical chinese with hibachi. The sign on I 24 advertised sushi with pictures of tuna, salmon etc but they don't do that just a couple fake crab rolls and shrimp on giant wads of rice. They have everything you'd expect from a Chinese buffet but served quite hot and refilled at a good, regular interval.
