Three restaurants share a lobby/hostess. I honestly wasn't sure I was walking into the right place, but it's a minor thing (if you know about it). Now for the bad: like I said the food is excellent, no complaints there. But I was more than a bit surprised to see on my bill that I was being charged for mixers!! A double Captain & Coke: $8 for the rum, $0.50 for the coke?!?! Really? The $8 for 2 oz of rum doesn't cover the couple of cents worth of soda? On the menu you can order a side salad as one of your sides, but if you want extra dressing? That's $0.75. This is too nice of a restaurant to be nickel and diming your customers.

Most of the staff was very friendly, a special s/o to the older gentleman who would drop off the custom pizza orders. He was exceptionally polite. The opposite was the individual helping to clear tables. I thanked him twice, but he ignored me...yet had a smirk on his face that he couldn't seem to wipe off (see photo). I also overheard a female employee say he refused to get out of her way. Lousy employee, probably bound for a promotion.

We ordered two appetizers--egg rolls and pot stickers, which were good. The egg drop soup was decent as well, so we were excited to get our entrees--broccoli beef and vegetable lo mein. The dishes LOOKED amazing and fresh, but they smelled like a dirty ashtray. I dont know if the wok was dirty or if something had been burnt, but it tasted terrible. We left both meals on the table after one bite. I'd like to think this was a one-off, but given how bad the food was, we won't be giving Lucky Bamboo another chance.

Another table even asked if they could have white rice vs the fried rice, the server noted this will be right out. The food wasn't bland at all, had good flavor. I would go back as it was delicious, I just wished I could have tried their shrimp item, but it had mushrooms and I wasn't going to test my allergies. I also need to ask what is all on the dessert table as I wasn't able to eat the one cookie. It was a double wammy for me in the allergy department of coconut and almonds. Again over all very good and the place was clean.

Everyone has their favorites but if you want to try some of of what might be considered signature items from Jade Garden's menu, you can't go wrong with their hot and sour soup, potstickers, and egg rolls (which are uniquely flavored and not over-cabbaged).
