    Pork Belly Tacos

First time at Chimba. I participated in a pop up art event. The event itself was fantastic!!! The restaurant service was average. Nothing spectacular. I ordered from their HH menu catered to the event. Pork Belly Tacos and a glass of red wine. They were both good, tasty and well priced. Ambiance was great and I loved their play list! I would come back and if an art event is hosted here again, I definitely would come back! Parking is a bit tricky. Come early and get yourself a street parking spot nearby.

I've been to this place twice, once for brunch and another time for dinner. I loved it both times. The food is delicious and the service is great. They have a great selection, not only Latin American food, and they even a Miami Spice pre-set menu. The ambiance feels just right, during the day there's natural light and at night there's dim lighting that adds to the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What an awesome and popping spot! Service was phenomenal and the food was even better. Every single dish we had was better than the last. The drinks were awesome too! I would definitely come back here for either happy hour or just to eat.

We were in Miami for a quick getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday and wanted a special place for dinner--and Chambas absolutely delivered. From the moment we walked in, everything was amazing. The service was attentive and warm, and the décor was stunning--chic, tropical, and effortlessly sexy. It felt like being transported to a stylish island paradise. Chambas is the perfect spot for a girls' night out or a romantic date night. The food was outstanding--every bite, from the empanadas to the key lime tres leches, was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. It happened to be a slow night, which made the experience even more intimate and relaxing. I'm so glad we found this gem, and I'm already looking forward to coming back the next time we're in town. Wishing Chambas nothing but continued success and growth--they truly deserve it!

This was the picked place for dinner before our cruise. We were a party of 11. My food was good, but several ordered the linguini dish and all did not like it at all. The service was all over the place, because they did not know who ordered what so it was a question each time a dish arrived at the table. I believe the staff tried hard but it just needs to be more organized when delivering orders. That said I had the Criollo chicken, elote, and a shrimp empanada (not pictured, because I devoured it). I enjoyed it all and do recommend trying the chicken dish since it's new. We came on a DJ night so conversation was difficult to hear due to the volume of the music. Definitely a fun environment.

i didn't get a photo of all the plates we ordered, but for the most part everything was fire we ordered churassco, several pasta dishes, empanadas, elote, salads, tacos. My only complaint is that the linguini pasta lacked flavor, but overall everything was very delish and the service was great.

Stopped by for happy hour with a +1 pup at the bar. Service was great and welcoming upon entering and was so friendly to the pup! I had a glass of sauv blanc and the pork belly tacos and WOW! Full of flavor and delicious! They come 2 in an order for $12 I think. I wasn't starving so it was perfect for me. I'd definitely come back again, it's such a cute spot!

On a one day layover in Miami, I decided to see what people recommended to try. I went with Chimba, and it was well worth the uber ride there and back. They have an awesome happy hour menu, where I got a drink, empanadas, and pork y hatacon all for $28 (before tax and tip). The empanadas were crispy, the shrimp with a creamy filling and the beef with olives. The hatacon was my favorite because I love pulled pork and fried plantain. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and I had a great chat with my waiter who immediately pinned me from out of town (lol). They regularly filled water, asked how the food was, and even after dinner while I was waiting for an uber came out to check if I was okay. I think I'd definitely come back ready to try more of their awesome cocktail list and diverse entrees. Sidenote: An 18% gratuity is automatically applied to the bill no matter the party size. Here's your heads up beforehand.

This is a hidden gem in Midtown! I am so happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant because I will definitely be going back. The menu consists of latin american dishes and popular peruvian meals that were packed with flavor. I genuinely loved every dish I tried. The empanadas and birria arepa are absolute must. We also got the pumpkin ravioli which seemed odd for this type of restaurant but was bomb! We got the chaufa rice and octopus as well and loved both. The service was also very good and the waiter was attentive the entire night. The music and vibes were so fun for a date night or night out with friends.

We had a fantastic lunch at Chimba for my husband's 50th birthday while exploring Wynwood during art week! It was the perfect spot to relax at the vibrant and neon bright bar. Their cocktails were delicious--I had a spicy margarita, and my husband enjoyed a craft beer from a local brewery. He loved it! We started with shrimp empanadas, which were amazing, and the patacón & pork was a highlight. That pulled pork elevated the fried plantain which was topped with cheese and hogao, just fantastic! I also tried the grilled molleja (sweetbread) with lemon focaccia and chimichurri. It was good, but I think it could be even better with a little twist. Overall, Chimba was a great addition to our birthday celebration, and I definitely recommend it for a fun meal in Wynwood!

The food was fantastic. The tuna tartar is the best. So fresh and so flavorful. The ambiance is upscale and intimate. Loved my dining experience. The service was very good, very attentive.

Overall, this Chimba restaurant is really great. It was my first time there, and I found the environment very nice and cozy, with a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere full of Latin American flair. It's a lively place! The service was first-class, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we ordered was even better than the last. The drinks were excellent too!

I love the happy hour at Chimba! Great vibes, bites, and drinks. I was addicted to the HUACACHINA SOUR PISCO MISTRAL. It was the perfect combination of sweet and sour for a drink. We sat at the bar and our bartender was excellent, very attentive. Ambiance was very casual and friendly, which fits with the name Chimba. I ordered the octopus chicharron which came out hot and crispy and the refreshing chimichurri sauce it came with complimented it nicely.

When I came last weekend the vibes were great, it was just extremely packed to the point that everyone was grinding up against each other. Which in that moment I didn't care because I figured it's at capacity and that's normal. Although, I realized when I was leaving the bar that someone had opened my purse and taken my entire wallet. I was bummed because I couldn't continue partying up the night. This led me to message them on Instagram, which was great because they told me to come in and drinks would be on them for the inconvenience. We got to the bar and I spoke with the bouncer and he said to go to the bartenders, that they would direct me to Rensel the bar manager. He was absolutely lovely, provided my friends and I a round of cocktails and told us to look for Sophia for another round. We didn't end up getting another round because we were exhausted from dancing the night away. It was still very nice and accommodating that they did that and we appreciated it. Sophia was very bubbly and attentive as well. Overall, if you are looking for a bar with a disco ball!! This is a cool spot to come to, they have so many different specialty cocktails. They are all delicious and unique! The music is great, the dj really keeps the crowd moving. For parking, there is a lot in the back of the establishment or street parking as well.

We arrived on time for our reservation made for "INSIDE SEATING" (note you will have to pay to make a reservation.) The unfriendly hostess walked us to an outdoor table - that despite the multitude of fans - was humid and uncomfortable. When I told her we didn't want a table outside it seemed to bother her and her response: we are really full I won't promise you anything (eye roll) and she proceeds to walk back through the aisle of empty tables to the front desk. Behind us was a couple who arrived AFTER we did. And can you believe they were escorted without an issue to the upstairs INSIDE SEATING dining area - to the very tables they apparently did not have for us!!! I have to wonder if this was profiling or she just didn't like our face? Guess not all guest are created equal here. Forced to seat us inside after my husband showed her the reservation for INSIDE seating she "accommodates" us downstairs next to the bathrooms in a tight miniature table on uncomfortable plastic wicker chairs between two large groups where we couldn't get out of our seat and had the view of a water damaged ceiling over our heads. After what seemed like quite a while the waiter (poor guy) came to greet us. Now this was the only highlight of this erroneous Michelin Star establishment. He seemed overworked with all the tables in that area but was polite attentive and funny. So pleasant that I wonder why he's working in this place. I had to ask for the bread that never came on its own. The drinks were ok. The food: Lobster - the pastry was soggy on the bottom and tasted slightly burnt on the outer crispy corners. The lobster was well cooked and the sauce was good but nothing spectacular. Hanger steak - the steak was very good - cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare). The sweet potato cakes crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the mushroom were cooked to perfection. Wish there was more of it, you get 2 sweet potato cakes the size of a strip of gum and 3 mushrooms slices. The halibut - hands down the most delicious thing on the menu. The fish was fresh and the caviar sauce was really exceptional - wish I had a spoon. Chocolate caramel - The dessert was a mix of flavor the chocolate has a tangy taste, the ice cream on the bottom was a nice surprise, however it left much to be desired - we left half on the plate. All in all the front of the house sets the tone and the horrid attitude of the hostess and the way she refused to sit us upstairs in our reserved requested dining area, soured our experience from the start. My understanding is that a Michelin Star is a highly sought status that entails the full experience of a dining establishment and I'm sorry to say they should rethink giving Le Jardinier this award in the future. Don't come here.
