Came in on an extremely hot day and was immediately happy when I walked in. The open space is inviting, the wall mural is adorable (angel wings), there were sports highlights on the tv (my thing) and we were greeted with a smile. Eligh (or Eli, not sure of spelling) gave us his personal recommendations when we prompted him. Since it was our first time, we definitely had questions. He was very friendly and even commented on our jiu jitsu attire. I believe customer service is the most important part of a guest experience and having Eligh/Eli (lol) take the time to spark conversation about guest interests showed the values of the establishment. I'm so happy this place opened up in uptown. I love boba in general but after having tried so many versions between so many different places you start to notice that no two boba places are the same. It can be hit and miss sometimes. This place is 100% hit. You can't go wrong with their Royal Milk Tea, but if you're willing to try something different try their Hokkaido -- it has a unique sweet caramel flavor that is borderline teeth melting. You can get this as a smoothie too which is slightly less concentrated than the milk tea since the ice is blended in. Tip: If you want your milk tea to be a little bit colder than it comes, just shake it up a bit before poking the straw through the top. Also, they are quite generous with the boba, which is good if you like boba, but if you don't want your teal to be a complete meal you might ask for half and it still be enough. Aside from the food, this place has a real cool vibe. I like how they have long bench seating for board games and how they have TVs on the wall. This is one of the few boba joints in uptown. The honey boba itself is a perfect consistency and has subtle notes of honey. It isn't the best boba I've had, but it's slightly above par. The drinks are not the greatest quality. They use syrups to flavor their drinks and the tea isn't that fresh. Unfortunately the tea gets masked by all the syrup and sugar put into the drinks. The amount of ice they put in doesn't help the taste department. I've tried many of the black teas, green teas, and milk teas hoping to find my niche, but each one is just average. The reason is this place is popular because it's a perfect hang out spot for high schoolers and college kids to play board games and chill. I love boba and hate when places are stingy with their servings and I am forced to order and pay extra just to get a decent amount of boba. This place was more than generous!! I wish I would've taken a picture but I didn't because my family and I were having a great time hanging out playing Jenga and I completely forgot to take a picture. The staff was friendly and service was fast. They offer sandwiches and salads and hopefully in the near future I can give that a try. First time coming here and the experience was terrible. Accidentally ordered on the kiosk because I didn't want to interact with people. This barista named Valeria (Valerie) was incredibly rude. My number was called (51) so I grabbed the drink. I wasn't thinking much because I even showed the cashier my receipt and she said I was 51. I asked Valerie for help because I had accidentally grabbed the wrong drink and she gave me the NASTIEST attitude. Hey, I worked at a high volume Starbucks (with a drive through btw) and I work as a therapist with kids. Being patient and a decent human being isn't hard. Especially being super rude over remaking a drink and trying to belittle me. The cashier who told me it was 51, was super nice about it and fixed my drink.
