This place is good. I've been wanting to try it out and I finally did with a friend. We were planning on trying another place but it didn't have the stuff we wanted to try. Chillin' to the rescue, my friends! They've got macarons, ice cream and boba. My friend tried the fruity pebble smoothie, while I got an ice cream cone. I got two flavors: Cookie Monster and Matcha. read more

We came here this Sunday afternoon. The cashier was a sweetheart, I asked her if the coffee jelly came with sugar and she went and got the whole tub to let me know the nutrition information. I was very appreciative of the very exceptional service this boba shop has. I cannot have sugar or milk, so I ended up getting the black tea with no sugar, both my sister and I really enjoyed our black teas which were both super tasty. My boyfriend got the boba green tea, and said the boba was good quality and soft - just the way we like it. The price is also very decent. The drinks came out really fast, as well. My friends and I stayed a few hours playing a board game we brought and the shop is a great place to stay and hang out with friends. It has these really long tables that are perfect, and the atmosphere is just great. The decorations are really beautiful too! Whomever drew the wings is super talented. read more

Chillin' - Bubble Tea Near Me - Whittier, California

Yelp check in for free topping. Chillin is a tea place in an area without too many asian-focused tea options. They offer 2 sizes, and the large is only 50 cents more expensive. We selected the Passion fruit green tea with little sweetness (20%), less ice, and added aloe. Overall the sweetness level was perfect for an American palate, and slightly too much for an asian palate. Syrup is used to imbue the passion fruit flavor, and there are small fruit pieces inside, but the aloe increases the sweetness more than the 20% syrup level does. The green tea used as a base was good quality, not at all bitter. The large size is big, and for ~$4.50 it was worth it. For my next visit I would ask for less ice (or less than that), maybe even no ice. It was refreshing on a hot day that we stopped there, but it was enough ice to keep it cold in the heat for ~30 min. Lastly, Chillin is in the downtown Whittier, a quaint neighborhood that is eminently walkable, so take your time and explore around there while drinking your tea. read more

Chillin' - Large passion fruit green tea with aloe - Bubble Tea Near Me - Whittier, California

One of my favorite boba shops! The large drink is HUGE and only less than $6. The boba is so good and sweet and the drinks are so good. Inside their actual shop they have games, a little shop, chalkboard wall, and ice cream you can purchase. Outside the shop is also so cute there is indoor and outdoor seating. The Thai tea is so good! I got the large last time and it was so good for the price but since it's so much I get the regular size now. The service is awesome too the people are so nice and give fast service. I love coming here! read more

Visited this place for the first time after reading good reviews & it did not disappoint. I spent less than $5 for a large honey milk green tea with boba (check-in for a free topping!). The tea tasted pretty good & not watered down like some other places. It's a nice place to study as the space is pretty roomy for the most part. The decor is simple but aesthetic, especially the wings! The place is perfect for a study session or to simply hang out with your friends; there are board games available for guests! I'd definitely come back in the future. read more

CHILLIN' is exactly what you do here. Spacious, board games, and even mini claw machines (2). We got the iced peach green tea which was refreshing and not overpowering. You can also adjust ice level and sweetness. Snacks are also sold here like pocky sticks and chips as well as macarons. The place is great for big groups. The tables can seat a party of four per table. And, there's even a long table for a bigger group. If you're more for that ig game, then there are a few photo opts. Now, I don't know how long those claw machines are there for (based on other yelp photos, they seem recent additions). But, they function like the ones at Neofun arcade where each play is a dolla (there's a machine that you can exchange money for tokens). Overall, a nice boba spot to chill at. read more

I had never been to Chillin' before so my first experience was brand new. My first impression was it was a cool place to chill (hence the name). It's spacious and they have some cool games to choose from to play while you enjoy your iced coffee or whatever. My date and I played Comnect 4 and Jenga. It was a bit warm in there (or it'd be 5 stars) so we headed out but overall it was really fun and the iced coffee is really good! Would recommend! read more

"Chillin" but never have the AC on. 90 degrees today & People bring their own mini fans because it's so hot in here.. how sad. They've been open for a few years but too cheap to turn it on. Service is good, but I would never work or come back to this sauna read more

Boba is hard! It's a neh for me. I got the Thai tea with honey boba. Drink is ok, too sweet for my liking and the boba is so hard. Not enjoyable. I wanted to like it since hiccups has been closed for "maintenance" for a couple of weeks now. Won't be coming back to Chillin' read more

So much fun coming here with my friends, lots of fun flavors and toppings to choose from.

Slow service, not a very fun or enjoyable experience. The tea was not even good. As well as the employees not being very friendly

Cute place located in uptown Whittier. Lots of tables. They have a couch by the entrance along with a wall full of board games. They also have a wing wall which you can take photos. I've had their boba in the past and remember it wasn't anything spectacular. They've always had fruit cups, ice cream sandwiches, and baked goods that I've seen for sale during my visits. I was thirsty and wanted to purchase a drink but the guy working the cashier had a runny nose and he blew it a couple times and was sniffling during the whole transaction I was like yea... I don't want you to make me my drink with whatever you have because some people really don't wash their hands and I couldn't risk it. read more

First Time here! So the reason for not giving the full five stars is because when I went I asked the person who was taking orders if she could just do a banana smoothie. Since they only offer strawberry & banana smoothie.(Mind you the person I was buying just the banana for does not like strawberry). She told me yes they where able to. But the part that got me really upset was she said that if he did not like it she would not be able to give me my money back or a refund. (Mind you I never asked her if I could get a refund or my money back if he did not like it). That was just uncalled for. So I told her yes thats ok. Because at the end of the day if he did not like it then I know maybe someone else would. Then the fact that she went and left and was asking the people behind her something. I assume it was about a refund or something. However over all I really enjoyed the drinks they did not taste bad they taste really good. When I ordered two drinks with boba I payed for the extra boba and when you ask for extra they actually put a lot. However I truly believe this boba place is not stingy with the amount of boba they put inside of your drinks. But over all I will go back to go and buy for this business again! read more

Found this place a few weeks ago by just walking through Uptown Whittier and have been addicted ever since! Not sure what it is about it but I can't get enough. I have only ordered a drink to go but the atmosphere inside is inviting and is tailored to a young audience. I've learned to come before 2pm or else you get the school kid rush. If you're looking for a drink to try, I recommend the caramel milk tea! It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it to me! Only downside is that it takes a while, and it's usually crowded so be ready to wait around 15 min for a drink if it's crowded. I would really love to be able to order ahead and pick up.....! Hopefully in the future. read more

They have amazing drinks and they are always very respectful and prepared. The lines are long sometimes but that's good for them!

This place used to be our daily stop for drinks until today. We spent over $20 on drinks and two of them were unfit to drink. We always order the same drinks and they have always tasted great. We ordered two fresh squeezed black teas and there was so much lemon they couldn't be drank. When I contacted them to get the drinks replaced we were made to feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. We took them back to be exchanged and were treated badly. What ever happened to customer is always right? They lost two good customers today. read more

The ambience is okay for the most part. Most part. Service: Greeted by a very uppity girl that seemed to have a rather pretentious aura to her as her and the owner did not seem to clarify very well about their menu items. There was definitely some miscommunication here, and the service feels very lackluster. Make sure your order is well understood or they might mistake your order. Boba drinks: Very sweet and warm boba, be prepared to feel like you need to mix your drink so the tapioca balls can actually feel edible enough to eat. Overall, the drinks here are EXTREMELY sweet so be warned if you're not a sweet tooth. However, a small plus is that the portion sizes are nice for what you pay for. Environment: Tryhard to appeal to millennials who have Instagram followings. Definitely tries hard to appeal to the younger crowd, but alas, Uptown Whittier isn't too beeming with youngsters as much as it used to be. You do see local high schoolers here, but it's not overly crowded. Definitely a lot of souvenir esque props they set up to appeal to the youngsters who want to take pictures to Instagram it and to boost their marketing heh. The slushies also take a very long time to defrost... So be prepared to find difficulties slurping on it. Noise level/ music: Plays a lot of lo-fi / rap/ indie top 40 music. Kind of loud though to where you can't really study that well, unfortunately. I understand that they're trying to make it a "fun" place to be but still. You can't really concentrate or talk even at such a noise level. Overall I have a mixed experience about this. If you're in the area and craving boba, go for it. But this isn't the best place. It's promising sure, but please improve on the service and try to tweak a bit and consider my points above. Also please get more comfortable seats and tables! My friend struggled to be comfy and " Chillin' ". read more

This place is bomb! Never disappoints. Except for the vending machines. I've been coming here for months now and every time we come with our daughter she's hopeful we'll catch something and we leave disappointed every time. The claw catches the toy and when it's about to drop it, it falls because the claw is so loose. It just takes our money, but never the toy. That part sucks but the drinks are good read more

Another location of gentrification in uptown Whittier & couple stores down from the movies. --Simple cute tea spot, there's a chalk board near the counter, and have a handful of games next to the chalk board. --Three long tables in the middle of the floor and four smaller table against the wall. The hot teas are pretty sweet but very good! They're not herbal tasting at all, so if you're looking for that go else where. This location also sells macaroons!!! Both the cookies and ice cream. The price for the tea, and small snacks are all great! 3.95 for tea, 1.95 for each macaroons. read more
