Talk about putting your best foot forward! I'm a big believer in taking care of the old body and have had massages in the past from many a skilled practitioner.......nothing as good as this. I guess the only way to describe it is the broad pressure applied to areas of the body. There's something very pleasant about the variance of weight you feel as its applied to your musculature. ligaments and skin. Now there's also Lisa who administers this treatment with the attention to detail a jeweler might practice cutting a precious diamond. Her JOYOUS attitude for her craft is infectious and she takes great pride in helping to balance the body. She will also instruct you to BREATH! She is trained in Ashiatsu massage as well as traditional massage. My one hour massage seemed like 20 minutes and I for one will be back for more treatments.......worth every penny! read more

I really didn't know what to expect getting an ashiatsu massage, other than there would be more feet than hands involved. I thought it might be a little weird. There's a regular massage table, but above it are these two parallel bars that, I don't know, how does that work, exactly? After a half a dozen visits, I still don't really have it worked out, how she does it, but I can say I no longer care. You can't really tell what's going on with your head face down in that donut pillow thing, but the willingness to figure out the mystery is overshadowed by the perfectly excellent massage taking place. I can say that it feels like something between a sports massage and a swedish massage, that sometimes involves four limbs. It's perfect for me, because I like to know something is being worked on without having to go to my happy place to make it through. Lisa is awesome! If I've slept on something funny or overdone a workout, she adjusts accordingly and I always leave feeling like she really made a difference. I don't only feel nice and relaxed, I feel better. Lisa's massage work is top notch! I walked away from my appointment feeling incredibly relaxed and totally comfortable. I would consider myself a "massage novice" - Lisa was able to work with me and respond to areas I indicated I wanted her to focus on throughout the massage. I enjoyed a blissful 90 minute ashiatsu massage from Lisa. I absolutely love this type of massage. Lisa was able to get into spots of tension I didn't even realize were there until they released. This type of special massage is so cool! I was so intrigue about how would it feel to be massaged with the feet, let me tell you, it feels great! The amount of pressure feels great and it covers a greater are of your body than a regular massage would. The pressure feels very well controlled and you can't really tell that she is using her feet ( unless you look up). Personally I think is a great massage for people with chronic spasms in their back and or hip area. As well as gluts and hamstrings. I have already send my loved ones to see Lisa! I love the way Lisa really knows how to apply the appropriate pressure for me. I've had ashiatsu message before and felt a little sore afterwards. With Lisa I felt like a million bucks. My first time enjoying ashiatsu massage was with Lisa at Chillax and as soon as the first session ended, I scheduled a follow-up for the next week. I was stunned at how deftly she was able to find the locus of a tense area and apply the perfect amount of pressure to smooth it out. There were multiple times during the first session where I felt like shouting for joy because she found that magical spot that no one else had seemed to find up until that point. I was not sure what exactly an ashiatsu massage was when I made my appointment. I figured it was just another name for a basic massage. When I got there Lisa wonderfully explained that she was actually going to use her feet and walked me through how it works. I have had plenty of injuries and joint issues for a 19 year-old but Lisa made sure I was comfortable throughout the massage and was extremely considerate of all of my issues.
