korean bulgogi Bibimbap, rose Tteokbokki, Korean Cheese and Beef Condog
Cleo G.

Ordered takeout. :) I had never tried Korean corn dogs before so this was a new experience!! Here's what I tried: Bulgogi Bibimbap: 9/10 - The portion was hefty and the egg on top was perfectly creamy. All the veggies had such rich flavor to them and the bulgogi, while a bit dry, was still good. Felt healthy yet tasty. Cheese and Beef Potato Corndog: 7.5/10 - I didn't expect this to be sweet but there is cinnamon sugar on the outside I believe. I love the texture of the potatoes and I think I prefer the hot dog side rather than the cheese, but that could also be because it had cooled down and congealed by that point. Rose Tteokbokki: 8/10 - So spicy, chewy, and yet a little sweet. The rose makes it a bit creamier and softer, which I actually really loved.

Strawberry bingsu

We ordered strawberry bingsu. It was way too sweet to be bingsu. At first glance this place seem hippyish. There were water all in the floor from the leaking of the ceiling. Service was fast. Prob won't be back

Korean Corn Dogs: Half&Half Potato, All Cheese Potato, and the All Cheese Hot Cheeto
Reeta B.

I have been wanting to try Korean corn dogs for so long! When I found out that this place has them I was so excited to try them and it did not disappoint! They were definitely different from what I was expecting, but in a great way. I got the Half&Half Potato, All Cheese Potato, and the All Cheese Hot Cheeto. I also got the 5 piece tenders with soy garlic sauce which came with French fries. Of the three corn dog options, the potato ones were definitely my favorite and absolutely the way to go in the future. The tenders were crispy and the sauce was so good! I'd honestly go back in the future for either option. Service was quick and easy as I got everything to go. Parking was also very easy since there is a large shared parking lot right out front.

I stopped here to eat lunch while I was working. I finished all of my work and ordered the traditional kimbipap ! This food was absolutely delicious ! The service was quick. I just blasted AC in my car. The ambiance is welcoming and very casual. I met a lot of new people. I'd love to order this again !

Amazing. So kind, great service. Very delicious food, it is hard to find a Korean corn dog in TN but these are perfect. 10/10 definitely go visit!!!

Lunch combo #1 - Yangyum chicken, fries
Audrey H.

I've never had Korean fried chicken so I'm not sure how it compares to others, but I liked it! It was sweet, with a slight spicy kick. It was inching towards *too* sweet but not-not enjoyable. Fries were delicious! I thought $13 for 3 tenders, fries, and a drink wasn't a bad price at all. I don't see myself getting this again, I'm intrigued by the tteokbokki and boba so I would consider revisiting. Definitely worth a try!

I did not know what to expect with the corndog but it was delicious!! The hot dog to bread ratio was great. I definitely will be coming here again but next time i will get more added to my corndog!

Mango Bingsu

If you like Korean food this is the place for you. I always wanted to try bingsu, don't leave the place without trying Bingsu, Absolutely amazing. Nice people and very clean.

Visited Dec 9, 2023. Haven't been here for years, but ownership of the establishment has changed since then! K-dogs (Fried Korean Corndogs) are pretty popular outside of TN. There's another business selling them around town but they're pop-up based -- I'm happy we now have a reliable stationed business selling them! I can only speak for the quality of the corn dogs and they're pretty tasty! The crumps will be messy but worth it! Had a nice cheese pull (photo included). I had the Half&Half Potato (inside white cheese top half then hotdog bottom half with an exterior of potato bits coated with sugar). Korean Chill Spot is the perfect choice for a quick bite/snack in central Brentwood! In addition to k-dogs, they sell instant ramen, kimbap , fried chicken, bubble tea, & more. There are believed to be 6 tables inside for parties of 4. This place is fast casual dining and the front employees were unenthusiastic as far as hospitality went. Took orders without the formalities of greetings or small talk with some gossip upon themselves. They were young, so I chalked up their hospitality adeptness to that. There are two gender neutral restrooms down the side hall. The larger restroom is the furthest back which has a console table but no official baby changing stations. Parking is all around but don't always expect to be near the storefront. This plaza in particular is notorious for always being busy!

Bulgogi Kimbap

Dec. 9, 2023 I ordered the Bugolgi Kimbap and it sure was delicious. My friend had the potato Korean hot dog and took a bite of......sure was good lol. You got a taste of the potato and the cinnamon sugar dipped around it. They got a hot water station just for your ramen, so cool. You don't see that around here....only in K-Dramas but now you get the chance to experience making yourself a bowl of ramen there Maybe next time, that's what I'm going to do and try out their bobas!

Korean Cheese Potato cordon and hot Cheeto corn dog

So we came here after seeing a review on the corn dogs I would definitely recommend the corndogs as for the were quite delicious the cheese filling was so stretchy it felt like those food asmr so if you like that perfect as for the boba it was okay nothing special the tapioca was a bit hard but still enjoyable

Roxy M.

Enjoy this place for a Korean snack! Gimbap isn't easy to come by in Nashville. Best thing to get here is the k-dogs tho,

Top 5 in Nashville easily. The sort of burger that dreams are made of. The bacon jam is balanced by the arugula. The bun is light and nicely toasted. The addition of spinach and goat cheese crumble added a tangy note to each bite. The slice of sourdough bread was delicious, but I wish it had been a little more toasted so that it could withstand the heavier Shakshuka. For my entree, I ordered the Crème Brûlé(e) French Toast. It was delicious and very indulgent. The brioche was soft and custardy, soaked in crème anglaise and elevated by a torched sugar top that gave it a slight crunch. Fresh strawberries cut through the sweetness nicely. I swapped the side of bacon or sausage for scrambled eggs. They were a little dry but still tasty. The atmosphere was refined but laid back, and the service was overall great. I would definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

I recently gave my team the option of where they wanted to have lunch and J. Alexander's was the winning choice by far, so off we went on a Wednesday afternoon. This location is fairly large, well laid out, well kept and clean. The atmosphere, menu, vibes and service are elevated, but not pretentious. We had a reservation and were sat fairly quickly. From there, our server was quick to swing by and get us started with drinks and appetizers. We ordered a few appetizers including the Hong Kong Shrimp and a Spinach/Queso dip. Both were delightful and great starts to our meal. The pork chops were top priority for a few of my team, so a few went with the pork chops, another the burger and I went with the steak frites. None of us regretted our choices! Sadly between the appetizers and mains, we were a bit full to have dessert, but the menu sounded great. Service was friendly and helpful, but she was a bit tough to track down when we needed something. Did not detract from the meal, but was noticeable on at least two occasions. Overall, J. Alexander's is a good spot in a good location, and I will certainly be back at some point.

We started off with the Mini Donuts with dipping sauces, and they were a huge hit! Unfortunately, I was off my game and forgot to take pictures of some of the appetizers before they disappeared. We also ordered the Spinach Dip with chips, and a definite must have, the Deviled Eggs with Candy Bacon. Wow... those were sooo good! For the entrees, I went with the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and it was perfection. Others at the table ordered the Chicken Fingers and Fries, great comfort food with amazing flavor. The fries are the thin-cut style, which makes them extra good. The granddaughters split a hamburger and absolutely loved it. The service is always great here, but this visit had a special touch. The granddaughters wanted a carrot to feed to their stuffed bunny, and the waitress actually brought one out for them! Little things like that make a big impression. Overall, a great brunch, great service, and a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Loud from the crowd, but still fine for conversation, and the tables/booths were spread enough to provide decent privacy. Made a note that the bar looked very attractive and appealing. Limited draft selection, though the by the glass wine was about the best list I've ever seen in a restaurant, and quite reasonable on pricing. Food comes out fast. Wait people are efficient and helpful. Started with a split salad. We ordered the Little Gem but actually received the Caesar. Not a big deal, though it was badly over dressed, so whatever salad we order (or whatever we're served) in the future, it'll be dressing on the side. After having a tough time deciding what to order on our first visit, I went with the tuna. The tuna slices were nicely rare though the dish was very bland. A pop of pickled ginger on the side, but some wasabi, or even a hit of salt, would have helped a lot, and the dipping sauce was off and bland, could have really used some more soy sauce. Wife got the crab cakes. The cakes were really nice jumbo lumps, very good quality, and the shoestring fries delightful (though I might order them well done next time for a bit of extra crunch). We'll be back and will enjoy exploring the menu further. There's clearly 5 star potential here, we just need to learn the best dishes to order.
