I decided to edit my review based on a recent visit to the restaurant. I had previously sworn that my previous visit there (about 6 months ago) would be my last. A friend of mine convinced me to give it another try, as she mentioned that the food preparation had definitely improved. Knowing that many of these chains have a revolving door of employees, I thought, why not? I have to say that the food quality has certainly gone up a notch. My salad looked like a piece of art (yes, at Chili's...if you can believe that!) and my burger was delicious and looked like one you see on a TV ad. Not the heaping mess that they typically toss on the plate and serve. I commented to the waitress and she said it was because an Asian lady (I think the name was Anya?) prepared my food. She said her customers are always impressed when that lady is cooking. I certainly was. A pleasant, unexpected surprise. So bottom line is that I'm giving a couple more stars because I guess it depends on who is preparing your food. Not sure what to expect upon my next visit but I'll definitely ask if the Asian lady is cooking! Also, the waitress was very nice as well and I hope she's on duty next time I return. Food - 3 stars Service - 1 star Lets start with the service. Once we were seated, it took a couple of minutes before our server approached the table. When he got there, his presence seemed like he was annoyed. Nevermind that, my friend and I proceeded to order our food and thats when everything got sour. He started asking these weird questions and making my friend uncomfortable, ok... What really got me irritated was the fact he practically threw the utensils and straw at me while my friend got the normal server to customer treatment. Now this is where it all goes downhill... Throughout the course of the meal, he was nowhere to be seen, and when he passed by to check up on us and made a few conversations here and there, he was only talking to my friend. I waited for them to finish so I could ask for another water and gave me the dirtiest look. And when we were ready for the check, that's when he ATTEMPTED to be nice to me. I did not have any of it. If you were rude to your customer from the first moment you approached their table, DO NOT expect a great tip. If you expect me to believe your "Bear with me, it's been hectic tonight" story. Save it. I had enough of your little stories because you were being completely friendly to my friend meanwhile I got the worst service ever. Now onto food: food was your everyday Tex-Mex food. I must say, the burger I had was really good! The fried pickles were a debbie-downer for me. When I reached for one of them to dip in the ranch, the fried batter layer completely fell off! Ordered the fajitas takeout after a late night flight into town. They came out 15 minutes later than what the website said and the restaurant was not busy. They put the cheese, tomatoes, guac and sour cream in the same Styrofoam container and when i went to eat it it was all jumbled together and inedible. I dont like sc or guac. Steak for fajitas was tough and full of sinew, can't even chew it, its so stringy. Chicken was okay. read more

After a long day of shopping we visited Chili's for a quick meal with my husband and 8 year old son. We were seated right away at what we were told was a "large" table-- it was standard. In fact, the table was squashed against another two in both directions which made it uncomfortable. The waiter was a young man; chipper and polite. Didn't have much to say at all-- I wanted to chalk it up to them being busy, but had a hard time doing so when I saw staff and what appeared to be a shift manager talking near the computer by the restrooms about "cute boys". We were specific about wanting more ranch dressing with our app and salads and had to ask twice for more; not to mention we had no silverware to start and had to ask for that. The meals were correct; however my husband's fajitas came out with no tortillas and we had to ask for them. My son also didn't have his corn and we had to ask for that. Five to ten later their meals were complete. Mine was cold by then, as I politely wait until everyone can eat. No apologies or anything from the staff. The bill came and we were nickel and dimed on using their "table entertainment" as well as the beef choice for the fajitas. No tip and I have only done that once. They are terrible and a disgrace to the chain. Surprising considering the typical level of service in restaurants in Vermont. read more

This is where we grabbed a quick meal on the way to our hotel once we landed in Vermont. Unlike our Chili's in Virginia, this one still lets you substitute a black bean patty on any burger. We got 2 HUGE burgers (come with fries) and 2 big drinks in 15 minutes. And they were really good. read more

Enjoyed the renovation on the inside and the larger menu that has new offerings but also the classic Chili's options. Service was attentive and friendly and they had no problem giving us plenty of chips and salsa to go. Great place for the family to visit because they have something for everyone read more

This place is a frequent restaurant my husband and I dine out at! We are never disappointed! The staff is always friendly! Rarely do we ever have to ask for refills because they are already brought to us before we get a chance. I was greeted promptly, and the server brought my food in a timely manner. However, the rice with my shrimp taco was raw. My only contact with the server after the food arrived was when she dropped the check off so I wouldn't have to "wait for it" . Went here after a long day visiting Vermont from NY. We walked in, and we're told there was a wait, unless we wanted to sit on he bar side. Not a problem, when we said we were willing to wait because we didn't want to sit by the door on this day when it was negative temperatures. Once we said that the host immediately got defensive and rude. Apparently it was stopping him from walking around like he was big man on campus. The food was mediocre, the fries were ice cold. our waiter, Jordan, mixed our plates up but other then that he was an awesome server...he was a little sarcastic and while it was funny at first, it started to grow old quick. I'm not a huge fan of Chilis. Having said that, I do recognize they are fairly consistent with food and table service. I don't think I see much in terms of problems but the food isn't anything special. Margaritas are good, but that's probably the only draw for me. Expect to wait some on the weekends, but if you're not fussy, you can usually walk in and snag a table or bar spot in the lounge area. Bar service could use a bit more training as I only occasionally get served by someone who really knows how to work a busy bar. read more

Service was okay as was the food...beer was a bit flat but I guess that's what you get for ordering a draft on special. They have new Kiosk machines at each table that you can use to play games (fee for this), view the menus, reorder drinks, order desert or pay your bill. Gave this location another shot today with some friends. Got a salad with no chicken, which at other locations and this one in the last they usually only charge the entree salad price. I understand places are understaffed right now and things take longer than usual but our entire meal took nearly 3 hours. We had a 45 minute wait to be seated and about 2 hours at the table. We ordered quickly too as everyone's been there before and know what they wanted. We got 3 salads and a Fijita. We split the bill and all my friends had paid but I was waiting to ask why I was charged $13 for a salad with no meat when it's usually $7. I finally gave up after waiting for awhile and as soon as I had finished paying the waitress finally came over and asked if all the bills were alright. After 3 hours there we all just said yes and left. I am a bit confused why she asked if the bills all seemed fine, I've never been asked that before so I wonder if she knew I was overcharged but was waiting for me to bring it up. Despite loving chili's I won't come back this location anymore. A salad without chicken cost $18.50 after tax and tip and took way too long to get. read more

They have the best Blue Moon on tap there. I don't know what it is, but it just tastes the best there. So cold and delicious, with fresh orange in it. The food is just fine, service is about what you'd expect from a big chain like that. I have no problems with going there for dinner and drinks, or just drinks. read more

We've visited this Chili's a number of times and have experienced your typical meal and service for a chain/quick turnover restaurant. Last evening 11/16/12 we got a glimpse of how good this restaurant can be. The manager was on the floor, working with the hostesses, the waitstaff and I'm sure in the kitchen... obviously keeping on top of everything. We were seated quickly and greeted warmly. I had to take a call that put me in the takeout area where I was able to observe a clean and efficient kitchen, working the Friday night rush with good communication and quick turnaround times... no food waiting to be picked up. Back at the table, my son's burger was cooked to the right temp, my Memphis ribs and grilled shrimp were excellent and my wife's chicken quesadilla was "delish"! Sides were also good. Just a couple of mild hiccups on the service but nothing that I'd complain about. As this style of restaurant chain goes, I'd rank the chain of Chili's at the top and this location at the top of their locations. Definitely the place to stop when shopping in the area for a quick tasty meal, drinks and sports (in the bar). 5 stars are saved for the outstanding... this last visit was 4+! H read more

Stan the man! Great meal here with my family and mother in law and our waiter Stan gave us everything we wanted and more! Delicious crispy crispers were the crispiest but my corn had a long wooden spike in it... seemed a bit dangerous for the kids. Will definitely be coming back to this Applebee's location. read more

My wife orderd over $100 in food online as required by business. We arrived early so we would get our food as warm as possible. We were told they are running behind. No big deal we get it stuff happens. Well 35 minutes after scheduled puck up time girl came out with food. I instantly opened it and found d it was stone cold. We asked the girl to see a manager and her response was, "I know I know but no one is coming to help us". I called and girl on other end sighed and put me on hold. I waited 5 minutes on hold and called back. Still nothing. We left and I called to speak with manager. When they finally picked up he explained he cannot see anyone saying that to us. He asked if we were still there. Mind you it is a 5 minute ride to my house and we had been home for 15 minutes before I could get ahold of manager. I explained we left 15 minutes ago due to no one would help us. He again said he has a hard time believing we were told that and offered refund. I am done with Chilis. From once a week on average to one a month at least to nothing. We will not be back. read more

Dined there over the weekend and had one of the poorest experiences of my life. The server, Kayla B, was atrocious, and the manager on duty absolutely useless. I sat down in a booth in the almost empty bar area and wait more than 10-minutes to be acknowledged. I then waited more than 75 minutes for entrees only for the server to come over and say, "the kitchen lost your ticket out back," and then ask us for our order again, aka, she never entered in our food order because it's all computerized and would still be in the system. Management never addressed the situation and the food never came after almost 1 hour-45 minutes so we finally left. I am absolutely appalled. Stay clear of Kayla and I would recommend if you ever need a manager here, just get up and go, they're not worth your time. read more

Yep, it's Chili's and their new back-to-the-basics menu. Still a good variety though and all the long term favorites. Ordered the strip steak, broccoli was fine, loaded potatoes were right on, steak was well trimmed, but my medium rare came out solidly medium. Williston,VT has a very clean place,the service is very fast,always with a smile and a hello.I like to pick on people and joke around and the staff here is excellent and they give it back with the same smile that I give them.The food is always hot,tastes great and the deserts are awesome.We eat there at least once a week.The waiting line might be long but it moves along quickly and its a very pleasant place to eat at. read more

Waitresses are great, but chefs and management need a readjustment (either new training or need to be fired). Went in on Veterans day (as a Vet) and got the chicken sandwich. It came out with no tomatoes (menu says comes with tomatoes) and the buns were toasted too much that they were burnt, i couldn't eat them. The waitress tried her best to get my tomato and said she would ask her manager for a coupon for the next time I came in (giving i go in every other sunday), but probably no longer as she promised she got the manager and he came by apoligized for the food and said "well next time you're in just ask for me and I'll see what i can do" - which told me he was not going to do anything and gave me a line. Recommendation - go to Texas Roadhouse or another place as this Chilis is a dissappointment and really hit or miss (mostly miss -chefs and management are bad) read more

This was the worst meal and worst service ever. Salsa was like water, no substance. One of the meals came out with dried up beans and rice, as though it sat under a heater for a long time. The food here was amazing. As was the service. There was a wide variety if things on tv to keep us occupied for the short wait for our order. The only draw back which became increasing annoying was the Ziosks that offer games, also have sound on them and the child behind us was playing some war game and the noise was annoying and really made things unenjoyable over all. read more

I would have liked to try the food. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes. After checking after 40, w e were told "oops, it'll be 20 more minutes". This despite the fact that a table of 6 had not shown up for their tabletop and others of the same party size (2) who came in after us were sat before us. The hostess made a mistake, handled it poorly and I didn't have time to wait for chain food. We went to chili's for lunch yesterday, arrived at 2:30 waited at least 20 min. before a waitress came to our table . We ordered our drinks and food at the same time, the drinks came rite away but our meals never came for 40 min. later we had southern bacon burgers which had been sitting the bottom bun was soggy. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks . I was very disappointed in the whole restaurant . Several tables were empty and left with dirty dishes and customers waiting in line. The service was good and the food as well. The disappoint was when I received the bill and there was a $1.99 charge for the tablet on the table for entertainment. My husband and I only played around with it but did not use it for any type of games or entertainment. We paid the $1.99 and did not say anything to the waiter. I would like to suggest that there be a disclosure for customers that if the tablet is used there will be a $1.99 charge on the bill. read more

I usually have good service there but one employee was extremely sick and went to the dr. She got a note and Sabrina the Manager didn't care. She was contagious and begged to have the night off as she needed rest. (No I am not the employee) This manager was only concerned that this employee covered her shift. They were NOT short staffed. This poor girl had to work with a fever and risked getting others sick and contaminating the customers food. I left as soon as I over heard the conversation. I won't be going back there. This manager needs to learn that if an employee has a fever they can't work. It is just nasty. I don't blame the employee she was threatened with her job. read more
