I actually go here a lot, but I 90% go Sundays in the afternoon. At that time the food is great and customer service is pretty good too, usually my only complaint is that it's busy so take a bit to get food. But that's of course not their fault. What happened today was definitely on them... I ordered a normal chicken burrito with a few other things (you know, cheese, lettuce, beans, etc) but not a crazy amount of stuff that it would be impossible to fill the tortilla. Still there was literally two tiny cubes of chicken in the whole thing. And that's not even the worse part . 1/2 of the cilantro rice in it was brown and rock hard, like so hard I thought it was uncooked brown rice for a second. ** "Gotta" go to Moe's? ** Wow, terrible in just about every respect. To begin, at first look I just find the menu confusing... Weird folks' names as names of the items. More importantly, service was incredibly slow, the place was a mess, iced tea bin had no cover, and even safety equipment is broken and not maintained. (See pic). I generally love this restaurant chain. This specific location isn't terrible, but also has room for improvement. This location is always packed at lunch rush and dinner times, but regardless of off peak times, this location is always so slow with making the food. The facility is always clean in the food / assembly line area, but the seating area definitely could use better upkeep with wiping down seats and tables. The last few times that I have been here, the soda machine has been out of everything EXCEPT diet sodas... this specific location has a million soda options, so I'm not really sure why that happens. The facility always seems understaffed and the employees are either stressed out or super annoyed to be working there. The one thing I do love about this location is that the ice cream is great and very convenient and enjoyable in the summer months! read more

We were walk-in customers and stood at the start of the food prep line watching the employee there fill phone/online orders (including leaving the station to get more printed tickets) for 5 minutes without even a "hello" or " be right with you." This was by far the dirtiest Moes I have been in. The food prep area was filthy with stuff splattered on the plexiglass. Cheese everywhere, grease on the counters. The floor area and around the grill was dirty as more than half the dining tables were dirty as well. The health department should swing in here for a surprise inspection.Only one of the four staff members said welcome to moes and the attitude of them all was less than stellar. And they were out of 2 of the 3 rice selections and the other condiments had cross contamination from others. Hope I don't get sick after eating my meal. read more

Store was dirty. Kitchen was filthy and in a state of chaos. We were not welcomed to Moe's. Front line employees did not appear even slightly motivated. Employee who wrapped my fish taco cracked the shell. Could not tell which employee was running the show. No adults in evidence. They have one of those fancy coke fountains that will dispense any flavor of Coca Cola branded soda. Too bad it was broken, and they had no backup way of dispensing soda. We have a 10-month-old. Walked into the Williston Moe's at 11:45am, neither one of the 2 employees behind the counter even looked up. Place was empty except for 2 occupied tables, no line at the counter. I clear my throat as I stand in front of one of the staff who is making about a half dozen burritos for to go. He gives me a mumbled: "welcome to Moe's", doesn't look up, keeps making to go orders. I wait patiently for about 4 burritos worth of wrapping before I ask him if he will take my order. He ignores me and his buddy tells me it'll be a few more minutes. I have never seen this level of crappy customer service anywhere else in VT before. It's absolutely ridiculous that with no one in line and an empty restaurant I have to wait while to go orders are being filled out at lunchtime. I'm never going back to Moe 's, I suggest you do the same. Apathetic employees and nonexistent management; Worst service I've ever been exposed to. read more

I've been coming to this Moe's since they first opened. I never had a negative experience before tonight. I had seen all of the negative reviews appear lately, and had optimistically imagined that perhaps those Yelpers visited on a night when the restaurant was short staffed, or perhaps when there was no manager present to oversee things. I should have known that something was wrong when all other restaurants in the area had hour long wait times during dinner at the end of the holiday shopping season (tons and tons of people in the area), but Moe's had a line with only five people in it. I arrived tonight and was not greeted with the traditional "Welcome to Moe's!" Beyond that, I'm actually not going to get into the nitty-gritty of the problems I encountered. A soda machine overcharged with gas so that it shoots out soda at a rate that soaked children and an elderly woman, who weren't tall enough to fit a cup in correctly? Moe's has it! A filthy, morbidly obese, socially-awkward person apparently named "Hugh" who literally danced around tables and ignored spills and messes because he was on his break? He works there too! A manager (yup, I asked) loudly screaming that the food quality is worse than McDonald's and that he wishes that led fewer people to eat there when he wasn't in the mood to help in the kitchen? You can find him there as well! The two stars I gave were for the fact that the food is still good, and the female employee (the rest were men) was helpful and courteous when a customer spilled some of her food due to another employee packing it poorly. read more

To start things out, I really like Moe's, but this may be the last straw for this location. First thing me and my friends come into is a lady cleaning the table top when a guy was trying to make out order, then after she was done "cleaning" the tabletop she almost used the same gloves to touch our food. Like, lady, those gloves are wet, soapy, and covered in nasty ass water. My friend told her to change gloves and as she was doing so, she gave us a shitty look as if we were the worst thing to ever happen. After dealing with the unpleasant lady, a large guy that was sitting in the back not really doing much, started to ring us up. My friend asked for extra ranch and he threw the container all pissy like. The only decent guy was a slim guy that knew how to do his job. Missing the old Moe's. I know we are in times of COVID and short staffing. Went in on Saturday, 1-1:30, with only a few people in line, in front of us. It took nearly 30 minutes before we could place our order. Due to a small number of staff members. they had to stop the line twice to prep to-go orders. People in line had were cut by the app orders. That aside, the streamlined menu has things like fish tacos, pickled red onion, and pico on the "Free" salsa bar removed. Still better than Taco Bell. The lack of employees limits the cleanliness of the dining room and speed of service. The employee who starts production should be nicknamed Turtle. I don't think the kid is slow naturally, he was slow because he didn't seem to want to be there. Ordered 4 tacos and was told, "I only have room for three right now" (because the To-Go) orders had backed up the board. A positive shout-out to the other two crew members that handled toppings and bagging and cashout. They were pleasant, nice, and considerate. - A couple more employees would make this a better dining experience. Honestly, I will not go back, if we eat here again, it might only be Take Out. If you can, go to El Gato. Honestly, it's probably less expensive, definitely more authentic, and your experience will be more enjoyable. read more

By far one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever seen. Food on the floor, sticky floors, non of the tables are wiped down, and pure lack of any cleaning. Giving 2 stars because there was at least some customer service. Food did not look fresh at all. All of the equipment is filthy as well. Place looks like it has t been cleaned in weeks. Probably going to have a belly ache tonight from eating here. Not sure what's going on, but seems like almost all chain restaurants are following this down hill trend. Not a substitute for Chipotle. There aren't many places to get a decent burrito in Vermont, and none worth visiting in Williston. This Moe's franchise is particularly egregious because of the poor quality of...well, nearly everything that isn't bolted down (and a few things that are). It's brand new and yet the staff have the same WTF? attitude one finds in old McDonalds in bad neighborhoods. Where it should sparkle, it already has a patina of neglect. (Even unto the shrink-wrap vehicle billboard ads and placed around the neighborhood. Couldn't they have found some with hubcaps?) There are four large televisions hanging from the ceiling of its small dining room. Maybe it has to do with Williston being a shopping Mecca, and they expect lunch-break business from people eating alone, but they are positively conversation-hostile. The food quality doesn't even match that of the other Moe's up the road, which isn't saying much. I know this is a nationwide chain. but I really like this place! I almost always get the "Personal Trainer" salad, loaded with extra cilantro and fresh jalapenos. This was our 1st time to Moe's, and not impressed at all. Food was cold, to saltly, and nacho chips were not fresh. Also felt everything was over priced.Staff didn't seem to want to be there. Seemed impatient when trying to decide what to order. Ordered Nachos, and I wanted chicken,my husband beef, but 1st guy said can't have both, but next one said can do half and half....Husband's burrito was cold, but ok, and my daughter who usually isn't picky, won't eat her meal either. Also felt the restaurant wasn't very clean. Seemed like no one goes through and wipes down the tables, and there were dead flies on windowsill. the highchairs also need a good cleaning. If bringing a child that still needs one I suggest you bring a lysol wipe, to clean yourself before putting your child in it. Don't know if quality of food,service, and cleanness was just this location or not, but have heard similar reviews in general, but was right there and wanted something quick, as we were just passing through. After a quick shopping trip to Walmart and home depot, we decided to stop off at Moe's. This was my first time to this Moe's and it didn't really impress me. The food was alright, there wasn't anything wrong or bad about it. It just wasn't up to my standards when comparing it to the other Moe's I've been to. I asked for queso for my chips and the guy just gave me some of the ranch that went on top of my quesadilla, oh well, that left me feeling disappointed, you can't go wrong with the queso! The crew seemed a little off, they were not friendly, happy or even all that welcoming beyond the typical "Welcome to Moe's" shout out. I didn't feel like I was actually there, almost invisible, . There was a lot of people in line and at the tables, the set up of the restaurant could have been better. The Moe's in Burlington is better! I am not a fan of Moe's - and I've tried many times, hoping it would be better! First of all, am I the only one who is annoyed by the "WELCOME TO MOE'S" that people yell out when you walk in? Drives me crazy... The best thing about Moe's is their convenient locations - Williston Road in South Burlington, and near Maple Tree Place in Williston. While the free chips are a nice touch, they are often so greasy that they are inedible. I'm sure they'd let me get new chips if I bothered. There is also something that never tastes quite right with their burritos - don't know if it's their spice blend, the brand of black olives that they use, the seasoning in the rice - but I just don't seem to ever enjoy the taste. I am SO happy that there is a Chipotle in Burlington now - I think in my mind I've been comparing Moe's to my memories of Chipotle.... read more

Something is definitely wrong at the Tafts Corners Williston location these last couple months. To-go orders are always wrong, salsa bar is always decimated, the guy at the register rolls his eyes when you ask for chips... all of which speaks to a general lack of management. But now the staff has started displaying open hostility; yelling angrily because food prep items aren't refilled fast enough, and one guy actually threw a tray because the steak wasn't refilled after he asked for it!!! Bottom line, it's probably a bad idea to eat food made by disgruntled employees who have a questionable sense of propriety. Someone needs to babysit this restaurant until it grows up. read more

Moe's is just great for that cheap meal that we all think is Mexican! Sure its not REAL Mexican but I still love it! I mean lets face it Vermont does not have any real good Mexican food places. Well not that I have found anyways. So Moe's will do for now! Its still the best in the area for its class. Taco Bell has nothing on Moe's! The food is great and they come in HUGE portions! I like the Joey bag of donuts. Its just an all around great burrito! I enjoy mine with chicken, rice, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes and then just add some onion! Then top that off with the sour cream and you got your self an addicting meal of awesomness! Yes its that great! Plus get a side a queso it wont disappoint! I promise you! If you see a huge line here dont fret! They move quickly. Much like the ol' lunch line from middle school! Talk to your company and you will be able to sit down soon! Or just take it to go! Used to be great. I love what Moe's tries to do - esp. how they try to be conscious of where they source their food. However... things have gone downhill in the past few years. My wife went to the Williston Vermont location a few weeks ago after the Burlington location could not take any orders, even though it was only 6:15 p.m. or so. So, she drove the 10 min. down to Williston instead, even though it wouldn't be ready for 45 min. She got there almost an hour later, and it still wasn't done. They *lost* one of her two burritos - that's all she ordered - two burritos. Then the people behind the counter started arguing about it with one another. Then, they ran out of tofu - so they started subbing veggies in... (don't get me started about vegetarians subsidizing meat-eaters). But she had to pay for the tofu that she didn't get. Then they started arguing again. The staff was rude. Then - there were *no chips!* Because they *forgot* to make some! And no *salsa* - because they were out of *lids*!
