Takeout Review: Chili's is a popular chain restaurant with approximately 1600 locations. The first one opened in 1975 in Texas and serves Tex-Mex and American food. Now, you can find Chili's worldwide. I don't usually go to Chili's or do takeout from there, it's a once in a while thing. For my takeout meal, I decided on the Triple Dipper; this came with three different appetizers of your choice. I chose burger sliders, Nashville hot mozzarella, and honey chipotle chicken crispers. There were dipping sauces as well, I opted for ranch. Everything tasted hot, crunchy, and flavorsome. The only thing I didn't like were the Nashville hot mozzarella sticks, I thought they were too salty. Overall, it's a decent chain with plenty of options to choose from. read more

Worst ribs I've ever had. So overcooked I couldn't even cut through them. Mostly bone. Big disappointment for $28 Manager came over as we were leaving and asked if I wanted something else. I ate at the bar. The bar tender was pleasant and attentive. No real test as to mixology skills as I just had a Heineken 0. The place restaurant was clean and pleasant enough . It was mid afternoon so it was quiet. The real issue is a had a really hard time finding anything on the menu that was less than the calories I should eat in entire day or perhaps two days. So it was between the a simple unadorned burger and something off the guiltless menu. I chose the 6oz sirloin medium rare. I am not really a fan of sirloin but this one was actually pretty good. It was medium rare as requested and the pico and guac sauce was a little bit spicy ( good!) and it had decent flavor. The meat was typical sirloin not quite tender but quite edible. Probably at least as good as the plain burger. The asparagus alongside was roasted/grilled and really was very well done. A little salty but surprising well done. All in all a decent lunch. read more

Really bad, will never ever return! The food quality was beyond poor, and the kitchen staff was disappointing, but more on these later. Chilis was offering a "buy one get one free boneless wing appetizer," which the waiter suggested to us, and we agreed to. He then brought them to me as my meal because he forgot to put in my order. The wings came out & they were more like ugly dipped chicken bits, in the most horrible sauces I've ever experienced!! We ordered half & half (Habanero Chili & Garlic Parmigiano), but the garlic parm was COMPLETELY INEDIBLE. They had nuked them, and they were bricks, un-penetrable by silverware. I'M NOT EVEN JOKING. The waiter John had them removed, and I choked down the 1/2 only because I had nothing else to eat, but it was not pleasant. It was at that time that he was made aware that my food order was not just a suggestion but an actual order. He claimed he didn't know I had ordered a burger, even though he had asked me how I wanted it cooked. What the kitchen put out next was a burger that was not only almost entirely RAW, but it had cooked onions all over it, and no lettuce & tomato. I dont even know what he was trying to serve me, but it certainly was not what I had ordered. They prob told him to just grab whatever was up next just to get food to the table because we had been at least 3 hours from when we sat and they were not busy. Maybe the kitchen staff quit, I don't know, but it was bad! I mean, how do you not know when something is RAW and cold to the touch vs. medium?! The manager took half the burger off, even though I only picked at the fries and ate around the edges. Eh, whatever, I took it home and cooked it myself. We were going to the movies this afternoon and so decided to stop in to Chili's for a quick lunch before the show. I had a half a rack of barbecue ribs with fries and my wife had a hamburger with fries. The ribs were falling off the bone, moist, with a great house, barbecue sauce, and very good. If you can't do a burger you're lost, fortunately the Chilis burger was done with a little pink and delicious. there's nothing fancy about a Chili's but you can generally get a pretty good meal for a fair price with good service! read more

When we walked in were immediately seated, had my 13 year old and boy friend with me so we each ordered something different. My kid never been to Chili's before so of course we had to order the chips and salsa and original queso, and Mozzarella sticks for starters. My kid ordered a just bacon burger with fries, he wasn't too happy with the over powering of mayo and how it drenched his burger, I told him to take the Burger off of the bun and he was like mom I want the bun but not happy. So he got full from the appetizers and I told him we will take the hamburger home and buy buns so he can have it for later, which he agreed too. My Boyfriends ordered Baby Back Ribs, Corn on the Cob and French Fries, he said everything was pretty good. Now I ordered the Tipple Dipper with the hamburger slides, bone in wings and Crispy tenders. I wish it would of been 3 sliders, instead of 3 crispy tenders lol. The bone in wings are small pinky size wings. The sliders were really good, had a choice of 3 dipping sauces also. The ambiance was okay I always think it's a little dark in there but for some it might be comforting, my kid counted 8 televisions and was confused on why a restaurant needed that much t.v's we had a good chuckle and explained to him we were in the bar lounge area where people drink and watch their sports. So my Son's first time being here I asked him what he would rate his meal out of 5 Star's he said 3, but since I had to consider 2 more meals I rated 4 out 5 Star's. We sat in the bar lounge area. Ordered sliders and fries and brisket quseadillas . The sliders were delicios and fries seasoned just right. The quseadillas were extremely hot for some reason. Spicy. More than ususal. The strawberry and watermelon daiquiris were very tasty. read more

All I ordered was a 3 for me value meal to go. Paid extra to replace the fries with a honey mustard house salad. My appetizer was a caesar salad. I wanted to try 2 different salads. They forgot my side completely, just a large takeout box with a burger inside, and the caesar. First time trying Chili's in awhile. I didn't have many expectations but come on... Who doesn't love Chili's? Had lunch there with my kids. Our waitress Jenn is awesome!!!!! I told her I had a tight schedule and had to leave at a certain time, she had our food out fast and she was not only super friendly but very attentive. Bozos. Not Bazos (i.e. Amazon founder). BOZOS, as in clown-like behavior. Quiet weekday night, walk-in around 4:30 and order "to go food." Simple, couple orders of Chicken Nachos. Grab order, and on my way home, want a taste of the order. No chicken. Turn around, drive back to the Avon Restaurant. 30 minutes later and a couple of "sorry for the screw-up"....I get my make-up Take Out Order. Get home...No Chicken. FIGGETABOUTITTTT! The disappointment I feel and words I used....couple of Hail Mary's and a plea to the God Almighty! BOZOS. They wasted 90 minutes of my precious time. So as you might have noticed my coworkers and I like to eat a really good lunch. Today we chose Good Old Faithful Chili's. We got the taco salad which was absolutely amazing this was actually the first time I've had it and it was very good it was very fresh and well made and the dressing and sour cream was on the side so you can make it just the way you like it. We also ordered the cheeseburger sliders you can never go wrong with the cheeseburger sliders from Chili's it is always been a fan favorite. Then we got the chicken and steak fajitas with all the fixings on the side the steak was cooked medium the way I like it and the flavor of both were a little spicy but just right and there was just enough peppers onions and limes in it. Needless to say my fajitas were very good. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have the Chili's famous margarita with my fajitas I guess they'll have to wait until next time when I'm not at work. I would definitely recommend Chili's! I'll probably be there soon for happy hour! read more

Stopped here yesterday for a late lunch after the movies. Yeah, it's a chain restaurant, but when you drop almost 50 bucks, you kinda expect a bit more value than what we received. The Southwestern Eggrolls appetizer was awful -- we payed over $8 for these eggrolls, and it was obvious they had been frozen. Bland, they lacked any flavor at all. The Cajun pasta I ordered was OK, can't really complain about it, but my fiancee's full rack of Ribs were coated with some type of tasteless sauce. Meat on the ribs had zero flavor, just not good at all. I'm done with chain restaurants "on this level" (like Chili's, Ruby Tuesday's, TGIF's, etc). We feel like we've been burned too many times, for what you receive, the value just not there. read more

Well we won't be coming back to this Chili's location. Out of all the empty booths in the room, they put us at one of those tiny two person only booths, when every other couple was being sat at a 4 person booth. What can I say, I like my space. Aka I hate putting my purse on the floor and you have to do that when sitting in the smaller booths. So I ask for water with lemon, get just water. Ordered the salad with crispers and my husband ordered just the crispers and wow the sizing between the two is definitely sad. We had to keep prompting the waiter for napkins and honey mustard and new drinks and it just wasn't that great of an experience. read more

This place has really gone down hill. They used to be a nice spot to grab food from after/before catching a movie but their quality has diminished. Their waitresses are slow and often seem just be hiding out in the kitchen instead of working the floor where their paying customers are. I shouldn't have to babysit my Diet Coke throughout my entire meal just to make sure I have something to sip on since I can't find my waitress to grab me a refill. If they don't remedy this, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up like Bertucci's right around the corner- closed! Do better Chili's!! read more

This only pertains to our take-out experiences which have been consistently fabulous over several years. Whether its burgers, or ribs, or salads, or sandwiches, or quesadillas, we've always been happy with the quality and value we receive. The fresh tortilla chips and super-yummy salsa is a plus. But to our way of thinking, the real star of Chilis is their take-out staff who have shown the highest degree of charm and customer service time and again. If you ever call in a take out order, or go to pick up an on-line order, you will be certain to deal with some of the best service reps you will ever meet !!! A certain young lady there (whose name is the same as an old Allman Brothers song) is a particular delight, and she has made us cookies and candies during the Christmas season. the food was good but took forever to arrive. we sat at the bar and the bartender disappeared after we finally got our food. I wanted a glass of water and more napkins but was done with my dinner by the time she returned. to get to the bar we had to walk through the restaurant. There were many tables with dirty dishes that had not been cleared. Yeah, I know. I'm supposed to hate the chain and go for the family owned place. I get it. And yet, there's a reason this outpost of Chili's is always packed: they do a pretty good job. The waits are reasonable and the food comes out relatively fast. You know the drill here: Good margaritas (go for the house margarita -- a steal at $3.50, I think), good chips and salsa (or queso if you'd like). And fajitas and tacos are pretty good selections too. So is the Chili. The salads are a little inconsistent. And always look online for a special (including Foursquare). Its a solid family chain that I don't dread going to. read more

I ordered chicken fajitas on Sunday. Waiting for my order for 15 minutes and was brought chicken quesadillas which I can't even have do the dietary reasons. A runner brought me for us our meals and when I told her that this was the wrong order instead of turning around and going back to the kitchen, she went up to the waitress who was in the middle of an order to discuss it. The waitress came inside to argue with me when I ordered. I had just come out of dialysis it was not in the mood for this but just let it go, 20 minutes later my sister is done with her meal and she gets her to go bag while I'm still waiting. We stopped into chili's to have some appetizer type things after yet another trip to Best Buy. We were seated at the bar and were so satisfied with what we ended up with. We did chicken crispers, chicken bacon ranch quesadillas and the crispy cheddar bites. We were beyond satisfied with all of them. Our waitress was awesome and took really good care of us and the hostess was also very friendly. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it was delicious. It didn't taste too much like alcohol. It was very comparable to a nonalcoholic beverage I quite enjoy from Jamba Juice. Overall we left super happy with our decision, our food and our service. Very disappointed. We come here almost weekly for takeout. Tried placing order online it was not working, so we tried calling in order. Person who answered the phone, extremely rude basically told us not to order because they were too busy. We asked if they were open proceeded to sarcastically say yes and then gave attitude the entire call basically laughing at me. I had to beg him to speak with a manager, which he wouldn't let me do. Like I said we come here weekly never had an experience like that. They probably shouldn't let someone without customer service or etiquette speak to customers. I have been in the service industry for 16+ years and know how to treat a customer. No matter how busy we've been at my restaurant I would NEVER treat a customer like that. I was simply trying to place a to go order, period. I would have waited it wasn't a big deal to me. Her attitude is rude and she was rude to us last night and another time before where she sat other people before us when we were next in line to be seated and the place wasn't busy even though it was covid. People started streaming in and being seated when the app said we were next. Went inside and the response "They didn't text you?" NO besides we were sitting right in front of you the WHOLE TIME.
