I am always a fan of Chilis, as one of our comfort places to go, when we want to grab a bite out. The food is always a hit and the wait isn't usually as long as other restaurants. This particular location however, gets three stars due to their service. It is not only annoying, but also disappointing when you have to constantly ask the server for something: refills, napkins, utensils etc. It puts a cloud over the dining experience. Dine or Dash? I went to Chilis on Friday and we ordered the chicken crispers which were good. We also had enchiladas and asked for the sour cream on the side. What they gave us is the pic that is attached. That is NOT sour cream. Idk if you guys have ever had sour cream that looks like this. We asked the manager what it was and then he said it was "sour cream sauce". Sauce? Ummm ok. Not only that but they guy we asked to get the manager reeked of cigarettes. Not something I want to smell when I'm eating. Our server was nice she didnt want to acknowledge how our sour cream looked nor did she say it was "sauce". The host literally walked us past an entire row of empty seats and takes us to the last table next to the bathroom, kitchen, and prep station. Why don't you exercise some common sense!? You literally took us to the worst table in the restaurant. Then, I order a ceasar salad with avocado. The waitress brings the Ceasar salad with chicken. Ok, understandable mistake, kind of. She takes it back and brings out a much smaller Ceasar salad with 3 tiny slices of avocado that I was charged $1 extra for. I didn't ask to be downgraded to a side salad at any point. I just asked that the chicken be taken off since I didn't order chicken. I'm happy to give 20% tips and always do, but please exhibit some common sense. Melissa Moore was the manager on duty and she could not have been more welcoming, professional and devoted to us having a wonderful experience. For such a dead place, and with several employees milling about, their restrooms sure was a disaster. I'm talking crumpled up paper towels strewn all over the place and hand soap dispensers being empty. It wasn't anything overly disgusting. Does anyone who works here maintain it? The Southern Smokehouse Bacon Big Mouth Burger is an utter mouthful just to say its name. The bacon was kinda tough, but still thick and good. Overall, it was just a messy and poorly executed assembly of a burger, but that's what you get for having a Big Mouth. There was a good ratio of ingredients in each bite, which made it an A-OK burger. Plus, I was craving one last night and it satiated this hunger deep within my soul, dude. If only they didn't use so much mayonnaise it wouldn't seem fast food sloppy. Hmmm... since when did the term "fast food" become an adjective? Our server wasn't proactive in getting another round of drinks for us. Maybe he didn't want big tips. Maybe he was more interested in serving other tables than ours or maybe he was just plain tired since it was near closing time. Wait. We got there at 10pm and it closed at midnight on a Saturday. The place wasn't even at half capacity. What a bastard! In spite of it all, he was friendly and cool - able to be present and make good conversation. He didn't charge us for his mistake of bringing us Blue Moon on draft instead of a Newcastle. BUT, he did charge me for additional avocado, which I specifically said, "No" when he asked me if I wanted avocado with my burger. Sheesh. When did "no" rhyme with "yes"?? When it comes to being a good bartender or server, it's only a logical cycle of good karma to check in on your patrons on a regular basis and "listen" to their needs. Let me explain. Came here recently for a coworker's birthday. This Chili's is your very good friend when it comes to not getting your @ss fired at work for coming back late from lunch. I've blacklisted many restaurants for large party birthday lunches that strayed well beyond the time limit. Service here was just terrible. Just to order drinks from our server it took almost 15 minutes. Our food orders were either late or forgotten and came out cold. I've always gone to the chilis in North Fontana and never had anything bad to say. This location needs major help! Managers never once did a table touch the 2 hours we were here. Other table surround our party of 8 were complaining about the same stuff we were. Working in the restaurant business and this is not how things should be done. Edit: So there was an off the clock associate eating at the table behind us with her friends. We only knew this because other associates stopped by to say hello to her. She was complaining about the customers at this restaurant and how one table took too long, another had needy guests and so on and so on. Someone needs to apologize to this waitress, providing customer service in a customer service driven industry is just not acceptable. So sorry you had to work to earn your money. I can hear the rising din. A great wailing and gnashing of teeth from elite Yelper's across the interwebs, "WTF are you doing?! Why are you reviewing a corporate chain?! HEATHEN!" Ok, calm yourselves and lose the torches and pitchforks. Hear me out. I've no interest in talking about the food. It's exactly what you'd expect from a corporate chain: good enough to eat, nothing to write home (or Yelp) about. My topic is more on the level of service--something any good establishment should focus on, corporate or not. First, we were greeted by two 18-19 year olds (stereotypical "eye-candy" for the dudes to see when walking in). One stated she'd, "see what table she could find" and disappeared for a while. While waiting for her to come back, I glanced around the restaurant to see several empty tables waiting for patronage. Hrm . . . This gal was gone long enough for one of the managers to appear and try to get us seated. When he scampered away, gal number one returned and seated us. On our way to the table, I noticed one recently vacated table that was filthy. Food, napkins and empty drink cups all over the place. Either the bussing team was out on a cigarette break or they were understaffed, I wasn't sure. We sat at our table, sans cutlery, for a good ten minutes before our waitress, Charlie, appeared to take our drink order. Another ten minutes passed before she returned. My wife tried to order something from the "combo" meal, only to discover that those deals were only good Monday through Friday. We were there on a Saturday. Not a huge deal, but there's no indication on this special part of the menu that there's a day limit on these items. Lousy marketing. Our orders were taken and we hung out for a while. I glanced over my shoulder only to see the same table as earlier was still in the same, sloppy state. Gross. During the meal I used the men's room which was also in the same, messy state as many of the tables. Just off-putting. Ultimately, I'm not surprised that a place like this could be in a state like that. When it's staffed by kids and run by folks with no pride, things like this will take place. I love the fajitas, their quesadillas are nice and crisp, and their drinks are plentiful. Having said this, I was SEVERELY disappointed with both our service and the quality of food served at this location. The margaritas my wife and I ordered came and OMG! were they strong. I enjoy myself a good buzz every now and then, but just because it took a few extra minutes to bring them out does NOT mean your double the alcohol in the beverage. Before coming, I was contemplating have two margaritas, but I wasn't even able to finish the first one. Our entrees were good. My onions and peppers were a bit underdone, but nothing too major. My wife waited a good 20 minutes for a refill of water--even though there were few patrons in the restaurant. When our cinnamon molten cake came out, we noticed something--off-- about the taste. In fact, it tasted downright SMOKEY! I am not sure how they heat up the cake portion (on a grill or in the microwave), but whatever they did, it was not cleaned properly beforehand. We couldn't even finish the dessert. Afterwards, both my wife and I felt VERY ill and I had to actively try to keep myself from throwing up. ============ I get it. I used to work in the food service industry. I understand there are times when you are busy and cannot get to all of your tables. I understand there are times when you are rushed and feel as though you need to get your food out of the kitchen quickly. I understand you want to spend a little extra time waiting on a table of your friends while neglecting other patrons. So the wife and I happened to be in the area on a Sunday afternoon and decided to try this Chili's. For some reason this particular Chili's was stupid busy (I have been to the one in Redlands many times and have not seen it look like this one did) so we kinda thought this Chili's must be doing something right. Unfortunately that something must have been the food we never ate because their "customer service" was laughable at best. We put our name in and waited....and waited...and waited longer than what the wait was quoted to us initially. The whole time we waited we saw empty tables on one side of the restaurant not being used. Maybe it's just me, but if it were busy and there was a lot of people waiting for tables, I would seat guests at any and all open tables. There were 6 empty tables on the left side of the restaurant that no one was being taken to. The hostesses, meanwhile, were preoccupied talking and getting drinks for what presumed to either be a friend or a coworker who was off the clock to even bother giving an eff to notice the calamity they had on their hands. Even Winnie the Pooh bothers! After 30 min of waiting my wife asked one of the hostesses how much longer it would be. "There's three more parties ahead of you" she ditzally assured my wife. So after that same hostess called the 5th party my wife approached her again and then we were seated- at one of the 6 empty tables we had seen remain empty since we arrived almost 40 minutes before. Wtf is happening right now??!! We asked to speak to a manager and a gentleman came by and basically talked in circles to us asking if we had ever been to a Chili's before. Um, YES we have- several in fact, but we told him it was our first time at this particular one and that if this was any indication of how this one was operated we would not return. He said he was going to talk to the hostesses and tried to take our order, but their was no effort of any kind to try to rectify the lying and awful service we had received thus far. We told the manager we were deciding whether we were going to stay or not. He said ok and left. Wow.... So, we made like a tree and got the hell out. I will NEVER come back to this Chili's EVER nor will I recommend anyone to come to this location. Apparently, this Chili's must have the most amazing food of any Chili's ever for it to be so darn busy, but you'll have to have your dignity crushed by waiting forever and being lied to in order to find out. read more

I always love going to Chili's. I have had nothing but positive experiences and great tasty, affordable, food. They always have great deals (2 for $20 or the 2 for $35 (drinks added)) and provide exceptional service. They have first come/first serve in the bar area, or you can get a table if you would prefer. My girlfriend and I usually sit in the bar area and watch the different games while we eat. Our favorite deal is the 2 for $20. I get the 6oz classic sirloin with mash potatoes and the broccoli and my girlfriend gets margarita grilled chicken with rice and beans. I still stand by my 5 star rating, but we did have an issue with the margarita grilled chicken. It is topped with tortilla chips and they switched to a different chip with different seasoning and it was overwhelmingly salty. The server apologized for the food and brought it to the attention of the manager. We wanted to just let them know that it was too salty, and they comped the entree for us. This was great service and above and beyond what we expected. read more

I have not been to Chili's for a long while. I used to come to this location a lot. Back then it was always crowded and on the weekends there were always a lot of people waiting on the Wait List to be seated. Tonight a Friday night we were seated right away and I saw no one waiting. The whole time we were here there were many open tables. Now on to the food. I came for their $10 meal which consists of a starter (appetizer), Beverage and Entree. I chose the Chicken Enchilada Soup. It was served warm and it was good. Don't expect big pieces of chicken in it though. I had as my beverage the Mango Iced Tea. From what I was told it's their regular brewed black tea with Mango syrup added. I did not like it. After I was half way thru it I realized that the Mango syrup was all at the bottom and it was not mixed into the tea properly. For my refill I ended up ordering a regular Black Iced Tea. My entree was the Honey Chipotle Crispers with French fries and corn on the cob. The crispers were very tasty with plenty of sauce on them. The fries were just okay. They appeared to not have any salt or seasoning on them. The corn on the cob was served with no seasoning or butter. I enjoyed the corn as I love corn but would have enjoyed it better with a little butter on it. The whole time there were many open tables. To me that says a lot. With so many places to eat here in Rancho Cucamonga one can afford to be choosy. $10 is very affordable for a meal but I think sometimes affordability isn't everything. Also never got a refill until I was ready to leave and even then had it given to me in a To Go cup, we had to wait awhile with dirty dishes on our table. I had some extra stash money so we went to Chili's to get the yummy steak. I was sooo looking forward to it. It's like $18 so we considered it splurging. I ordered it medium and it was delivered well. I normally suck it up but I refused this time because it's so much money. I told the waitress and then I received a new one. By then my veggies and potatoes had gotten cold. The new one was still overcooked. I was super bummed and frankly, on the verge of tears because I was so looking forward to that juicy steak. This time the server called the kitchen manager and he came to the table and was very apologetic and took it away and promised a fresh one cooked properly. He brought the new one and it was perfect and bigger than the first one I received. He let us know that the second one I got was not even mine. The server had misdelivered it. In the end he took off the cost of my entire dinner so we had a very small bill. I was pleased with this but we were there an hour before I had gotten the whole meal.
