Hello all. Today I went back to Chili's to order the Chicken Sandwich and Fries. BIG MISTAKE! Like I said I ordered the Chicken Sandwich add lettuce and tomato and Fries and I ordered a Blackberry Tea. Ok my Sandwich didn't have the lettuce and tomato, but a gang of mayo. UGH! Stopped here to grab a little lunch before going shopping. The waitress was attentive, and the appetizers were great, but that is where all good stopped. My friend and I both ordered fajitas for our entrée. The rice burned on the plate, and the sauted bell peppers and onions were burned. Not a little burned! Burned to the point that the smell permeated the food. Picked a little off the top. You could taste the burned food. When I told the waitress, she said she could not smell it. The people around us sure could. The sweet tea was good, but that was about it. My stars dropped from a rating of 5 to 1 because of the burned food. It never should have made it to my table. The reason I am reaching out is because my wife and I love Chili's food. But today the management has decided that they will not sit you until they a waitress ready to attend to you and the hostess pointed out that it will be at least 15 minutes of standing there waiting for the hostess to get the go ahead to sit us down. In the meantime three more couples are now standing at the entrance with us. We were still not seated after 15 minutes and so we left just like other people did. So this is a smaller Chili's than the one I normally go to, but a Chili's is a Chili's. The bar area is small but since the bartender has to make drinks for the whole place and wait on tables in the bar area, they should probably have more than 1 bartender on duty. But the reason for my review is the portion size of my salad. I always get the Santa Fe Chicken salad and it has been a few months since I have been to a Chili's and I know the economy is crap and inflation but the size reduction was in half. It was the size of a side salad. But still priced the same. I am still very hungry after eating it snd it used to satisfy me. I won't be going back to a Chili's anytime soon. read more

We had a disappointing Father's Day dinner--slow service, cold food, and just an all-around frustrating experience. What sucked was I flew in from St. Louis Missouri that very day and was only 4 hours off the plane, just to spend Father's Day with my elderly father. Now the evening may have been bad, but between our Waitress who support was cut from her section prematurely, it was the manager Autumn who stepped up and made things right. I appreciate the lengths she went to make a terrible evening into a fixed one. She checked up on my status in town the next day and asked if she could get a second chance on a wonderful Father's Day experience. She blew it out of the water. Chili's is one of my favorite chain restaurants. I don't go often but when I do, I enjoy it. One of my favorites are their warm and thin tortilla chips. I love warm tortilla chips and not many places serve them warm. We also had fresh guacamole which was very good. Ordered their Santa Fe burger and it wasn't bad. Worse experience I've ever had with Chili's. We sat down a few mins after 9 and finally got our food 27 mins later which should have been a sign because the place was about 80% empty. Food was warm and fajitas were bland. Service was awful. The waiter asked if we wanted anything and I requested "sour cream" which I never got because the waiter spent the next 20+ mins talking to the two ladies that were seated behind us. He never checked on us, asked about refills or inquired if we were simply ok. Finally I had had enough and signaled him from his lengthy conversation too ask for boxes to which he brought without a bag . I've never paid my money and been so disappointed, left feeling like my money wasn't green. He honestly should be fired for the way he services customers or lack there of. I notice that every since Covid Customer Service has gone to the dogs. No one cares to represent the business they choose to work for in the best light. This has turned me off from Chili's. Starting off poorly. I understand that everyone is short staffed, but there are literally 10 tables that are empty and people lined up outside waiting for tables. Where is the manager? Not one visit from a manager to explain or apologize for the inconvenience. Don't even see a manager roaming the floor. After getting a table, the wait staff was attentive and the food is good. Had a coupon for free dessert for my birthday so 3 generations of ladies, Mom, my niece & I visited the Orange Park Chili's on Wells Road. The restaurant was just half full but quite lively. Seemed more people were at the bar than restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly...off to a good start with high expectations of how good it will be. First we ordered the free chips and salsa and three waters. It took a while to get our waters. Placed order for meat combo of chicken and ribs with fries which I shared with Mom. The second order was for Chicken Crispers for my niece. A few minutes later we had to remind the waiter of our chips & salsa. Which we eventually got. Once we got our meal I still had to remind him of the extra plate we requested earlier. The extra plate came when we were almost finished with our entrees. Though waiter was very nice, service was poor, which may be attributed to understaffing. The food tasted great. The cheese & bacon topped grilled chicken was tender & tasty. The ribs with dry rub was falling off the bone but not over cooked, oh so delicious. The Chicken Crispers were very big and scrumptious. One of the sides was a Roasted Street corn on a cob on a stick. Never had this before. It was roasted & lightly coated with sweet cream and cilantro. I could not stop gnawing at it. So good. We must have been so hungry that we forgot to take pictures of the food. Overall the bright spot was the food. It was delicious. What also helped was a free birthday dessert of cheese cake with strawberry sauce, yummy. But with the poor service what would have been 4 stars was a 3 instead. Chili's is always consistent and flavorful, even when not inventive or unique. I typically prefer local places, but on occasion someone else picks Chili's, and as with today, it was pretty good. Our server was attentive, and kept drinks filled and our food arrived quickly. We shared chips and salsa, always a go to here. The chips arrived salty and slightly warm, with salsa that isn't near spicy but is chunky and the right level for me. I ordered kids grilled cheeses, one with broccoli and one with fries, which also comes with a drink. They do a bit too good of a job marketing the upsells of a blue fizz drink and ice cream right on the kids menu-- but overall, it's a good value. I had a chipotle burger, which was on a toasted bun, and the perfect size. The fries weren't anything special and most were left, but they were warm. Went 3 nights ago and it was really cold in the building I had jacket and boots on and I still was cold which is absolutely ridiculous . That was uncomfortable but that's not the staffs fault, that's management. Anyhow the service is the reason for 5 star. My waitress was so attentive. Everything was great and she even went as far to saying if I didn't like the sauce on my ribs they would make them again because I said sauce on side and they messed up but the way the waitress handled it made me happy because she made me comfortable enough to make me feel like if I didn't like it then it would be no problem to send back which is nice because I hate when they make u feel guilty for sending something back. I think that Chili's has stepped it up a notch concerning their food prep. The meals we ordered were all fantastic. The fajitas were colorful and delicious. The ribs were falling off the bone and the chicken was perfecto! The 2 for $20 is a great deal for the food that comes out of the kitchen. Used to be a place we would frequently go and the bartender there always took great care of us but it seems like they're always closed because of staffing. The high school kids who work there are awful, you can tell they don't care, and don't want to be there. The last time we went we just walked out 15 minutes after being sat because we weren't sat in the bar area like we asked and the server never came to our table. Asked for it be fixed and the cook sends out an almost raw patty in sarcasm. After that I just asked them to take it off my order. If you want a burger go for a fast food place, it will be better than the cooks make their burgers in this restaurant. What a disappointment. My order was fine and I chalked it up to a very busy night. Came a month later with parents and the it was just as slow, though it wasn't full. A customer in the table behind us looked just as pissed with the slow service and the fact she was not attended for over ten minutes. Employees were working at a very slow pace and did not appear able to multitask. They were often seen loitering by the registers and slow to clean up empty tables. On the way to the bathroom, I took a peek at the kitchen and it looked like the staff was ill-equipped. Things slightly improved after another manager arrived and began to help bring out food and check up on customers. When the food finally came out it was good, but due to the consistent super slow service of both occasions, I will not be returning to this location again. read more

If you have a coupon or promo card or or any special comp it never appears and you have to remind the server. This has happened so many times, I have to believe they are trained to do this.
