The ribs were good and flavorful, but the asparagus wasn't my favorite, and the mashed potatoes could have been better. My husband enjoyed his meal, though, which was a plus. My family was shocked that I had never been to a Chili's before, so they felt like I needed cross this off my list of things I have never done. I was expecting an Applebee's/Red Robin type experience. It was a Thursday evening and an employee opened the door for us, asked how many were in our party and promptly seated us at a table for 6 (the number of people in our party). It was a wood table that reminded me of a picnic table and wood chairs that were not very comfortable. Around us were padded booths for 2-4 customers at a time. There were multiple TVs showing golf and hockey stuff. We started off with drinks. My daughter's frozen margarita was so sweet she had to send it back as undrinkable and she was provided with a regular margarita. She took a few sips and said not very good. Even though the kids were very hungry, some of them actually left food on their plate (never a good sign). I had the Ancho Salmon with Mexican rice and steamed broccoli ($24.95). The Ancho Salmon was amazing and full of flavor, but the broccoli was not seasoned in any way (a spritz of olive oil with salt and pepper would be the bare minimum to make this edible) and the rice had NO flavor. We had ordered tortilla chips with salsa as an appetizer and I poured some of the salsa on the rice (which improved the flavor considerably). The highlight of the visit was the service. Our server was a whirlwind of energy and efficiency. This restaurant is located in a very large, busy shopping district with plenty of parking. If given a choice of where to eat, this would not be my first choice for sure. read more

We were seated, ordered drinks and appetizers, and our drinks came out pretty quickly. After that we ordered our main dishes. The main food ended up arriving before the appetizers, which was a little disappointing since we were expecting those first. The waiter did notice and went to check on them, and when they finally came out they were fresh and tasted good. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, just a bit of a mix-up with the timing of the appetizers. Came in tonight with two of my coworkers, and we all ordered Triple Dippers with mozzarella sticks, Southwestern egg rolls, and chicken crispers and bone in wings. I ordered the skillet chocolate chip cookie for myself, and it was really good. Good enough to not share lol. The chips and salsa came out fast with quick refills, and the beers arrived right away. The food took a little longer than expected, but our server was very nice and attentive, which really made up for the delay. Their attitude and service kept the evening positive. Overall, it was a good night, solid food, great service, and we got to watch some Thursday Night Football. I'll definitely be back. read more

My wife and took two young friends out to dinner last night (7pm) and we chose Chili's because it was close to their house. After 30 minutes of sitting and talking we realized that no one had come to take our drink order, they did however, manage to sing Happy Birthday 2x to tables across from us. Next, after the waitress said "i'm so sorry" and the chips/salsa were delivered, I asked for napkins because there were none on the table (nor untensils). Again, she said, "i'm so sorry" and brought us exactly 3, for which said, "can we have a few more napkins?" Next when the finally came, I asked "may we have some utencils?" Again the waitress said, "I'm so sorry...yes". Next our dinner guest had specifically said "no cheese" on her meal and guess what? It came with cheese. When I mentioned it, she again said "I'm so sorry" and took it back, eventually she brought out the meal--very late. We decided to change it up a little for lunch today and go to Chili's instead of Applebee's. They both have a great burger meal deal. Here , it's the 3 for me deal. You get the Smashburger or QP Burger, fries, salad and a drink for $10.99. Applebee's is a buck less, but no salad. We go in and are seated right away and drink orders taken. I get the Smashburger, cooked pink (a Chili's term), 1000 Island on the salad, served on a plate. I prefer the salad served on a plate cause they little bowl they normally serve it in, is too hard to eat out of and mix the dressing in and not end up with a bunch of the salad spilled onto the table! Service is super fast, they have food runners deliver the food quickly. Drinks come and then the salads soon after. Almost before I'm finished eating the salad, the burger arrives. I cut it in half to eat more easily. It's cooked "pink" as ordered. This is a very tasty burger and a killer deal at $10.99 for all this food and drink, but I gotta say, the Bacon Cheeseburger over at Applebee's is a better burger. I was a super fan of Chili's before I tried that Applebee's deal. I'd still go to Chili's if there wasn't an Applebee's around. You try and decide! read more

This ones for the manager. The big guy with the goatee. Today a drunk teenager barfed ALLLL over the table and he and all his friends did nothing. That manager stepped in and cleaned everything up quickly and quietly. Bless him cause nobody wants to clean a strangers puke up. Those kids didnt tip or even try and help. I haven't been to a Chili's in freaking ages. Prolly when I was a corporate grunt (wink) at Intel in Folsom. Fast forward many years and needed to break up the drive from Monterey. A cheese quesadilla and cider for my partner and a coffee for me and on the road. Really didn't need the coffee but it sounded good. So, surprisingly I'm sure it's been sitting on the burner most of the day but was pretty good cup of coffee. Like really, who drinks coffee at Chili's, espicially when the 49ers are playing and everybody is slugging beer down and yelling at the TV. Anyway, nice stop to break up the car ride. Great Chili's as far as I'm concerned! The service was decent, and the food I ordered was quite delicious! I got the 3 for me with the steak and loaded mashed potatoes and the enchilada soup plus ice tea. The steak was cooked perfectly medium as I ordered, the soup was so yummy! Pretty decent lunch. They had lunch specials for $10 that comes with a salad and a small entree. I chose the chipotle chicken which wasn't too bad, definitely didn't like the crunchy chips. My MIL got it too and she said hers was good but extremely salty. They also have a $6 margarita special for the month. Man it was huge! Super sweet too, so I asked for some more limes. For the kids meal- they had a good option, plain grilled chicken with broccoli and a drink. The grilled chicken was actually not bad. Broccoli just steamed with no butter, which was great. Grabbed some delicious takeout on an evening we didn't want to cook. I just grabbed a bowl of potato soup and others grabbed a beef dish and chicken dish. I wish I could remember the names of everything. We had some sick people in the house and everyone needed a quick healthy food fix and this did it. Had lunch on a Friday with my mom. I'd never been to the Morgan Hill location and I'm not much of a Chili's fan, but our food was surprisingly good. We both ordered the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. The lettuce was fresh and the chicken was tasty. The corn salsa was a little bit too spicy. I enjoyed the tortilla strips and small cheese quesadillas that surrounded the salad. There was hardly anyone there when we arrived around 11:45. Our waitress was attentive at first, but then disappeared after we got our food. My mouth was burning from the corn salsa and I was out of water. When I finally flagged her down, she brought more water quickly. All my visits here are great! The food is good and drinks are awesome. Never skip on the molten cake. If there is ever an issue, the general manager comes through and takes care of things professionally. There are always a few rowdy guests here but the staff is always good at handling them. Just the other night this sad pathetic guy was yelling at the poor waitress about well done steaks and lemons in his water causing a ruckus and the general manager handled him with class. Typically with chain restaurants, the service can be rather 'scripted' and disingenuous. However on Sunday, April 6th at about 2:10 I showed up 10 minutes before the rest of my family. They had no problem seating me and getting started in the meantime. The young lady Brie (forgive my spelling), took the drink and appetizer order and was able to deliver them just as my family showed up. The engagement was bettered only more by the Managers comment on my In Flames hat and In Flames band shirt, stating how he was slated to go to the concert the nite before but chose work instead. I asked for the fries to be redone and they took leftover burnt fries from other orders and refried them.
