Food was okay. I do not recommend the fajitas, they do not come with the standard fix-ins that you get everywhere else. The service is really what made this a 2-star rating. The wait was super long after we ordered and this may sound silly, but if a parent asks for napkins, please bring them; two little ones and one napkin does not work. Queso was extremely salty, chips were extremely salty, salsa was extremely salty, the black beans tasted like they dropped the bag of salt in the batch and stirred it in hoping nobody noticed. The steak fajitas were the absolute worst I've ever experienced. The steak was on the edge of spoiled and it was cooked to the point of shoe leather. Hopefully, I don't get sick. I never send anything back, ever. I not only sent it back but I refused to order anything else. This was the worst dinner I've had in a long time. The service was good however, the waiter was very attentive and friendly. Chili's is one of the more consistent casual dining restaurants. The company knows what it wants to be and follows that line closely. They serve tex-mex style food of good quality. The menu has plenty of choices and lots of pics to make it easier to decide. I went here on Saturday for a late night dinner. The service was quick and the quality was up to par. As a starter we chose the Boneless Buffalo Wings. Very hot and moist. The sauce was thick enough to stick nicely. We ordered the Mushroom Jack Fajitas and they were sizzling hot and fresh. We received plenty of tortillas and fixins and our server was quick to offer us more, just in case. In the summer they offer outside seating. Although traffic is loud and the air can be kind of polluted from emissions, it overlooks a body of water with ducks and the scenery could be worse. Nothing wrong with this Chili's read more

So, I've given this place a fair shake twice now but, I doubt I will return. First, the good part. The jalapeno margarita is very good and the service I had was also good. My first visit there was a computer glitch & my server was very apologetic & said my meal was free. However, when I paid for my order I was charged for everything. No big deal, I didn't come for freebies. I went for the original baby back ribs & they were pretty bad; dry, overly smoky, just tasted fake. My most recent visit I was served by Marina who was fantastic, attentive, & just as sweet as could be. I ordered the beef fajitas & have to say they were horrid. The smell of burnt cumin was choking & the meat was dry, with an unpleasant taste I can't even describe. The rice was bland however, the beans were decent as was the guac. It had been about 20 years since I've been to a Chili's & I think it'll be at least another 20 before I return. Perhaps I'll pop in for a drink but certainly not for a meal. I loooooove this location! I'm a "get it to go" customer. I place orders via the website, park, go in (they will also come out to your vehicle), and roll home. Nothing over the top about this place...they just give good customer service. Acknowledge me (a smile helps), ring up my food, hand it to me, thank me...I'm good and out the door. The 2 for $20 special is the best restaurant offer since slice bread...AWEEEESOMMMMMEE! LOL To this location...keep up the good work! I once ordered on line and for some reason, my order had just been received at the restaurant the same time my order entry acknowledgment said my order would be ready. The manager took responsibility and I walked out the door with my order (2 for $20 of course) and a HUGE SMILE on my face. I love Chili's, but this location leaves a lot to be desired. I think my biggest complaint is the stench in the bathrooms - It always smells like a sewage backup/skeevy truck stop and the smell wafts into the dining room if you're unlucky enough to be seated close by. I usually just order appetizers here because it caters to my dining ADD and they're pretty hard to mess up. Their chips and salsa are my favorite, love the skillet queso, southwest egg rolls, and boneless wings. Service is hit or miss here, some waiters are awesome and others obviously don't care about their job or their customers. As much as I love the food at Chili's, I have a really hard time coming here because of the smell. read more

We are here visiting family today 11/23 when we decided to stop and get lunch- there were a total of 12 in our party and informed the waitress we could do a kid table and an adult table. The manager came out and specifically said to me, "just for future reference if you have a party larger than 10 you should call ahead, or else your wait would be 45 minutes in a very condensing voice said it again-then gave me a thumbs up". If I could give 0 stars , I would . First off when we walked in the host had an attitude from the start . We were a little confused with how many were in our party and she annoyingly said " well is it four or 5" . The next issue was it took 15 minutes for any waiter to come greet us and take our drinks. We had to ask two separate times for someone to come take our order. We did not get chips right away . They apparently ran out of angry orchard . So I ordered a pina colata . They APPARENTLY ran out of pina colata mix !! What DO they have?? Damm . A table that arrived here after us got their food before us . I was not happy with our service . It's Chili's, typical American food with burgers pasta grilled chicken onion rings fajitas etc. nothing special on that regard so I won't comment on it. This review is mainly for the service. First off, today was Father's Day so one would expect service to be hectic and complemented by a fully staffed kitchen. However this wasn't the case. We got there at 7, and there was a 40min wait even though the restaurant was half empty, simply because the kitchen was understaffed. Then when we finally got our table, service was ridiculously slow, which should NOT be the case for a restaurant that's only half full yet has more than enough wait staff. This translated to the pace of the food as well, as our food came out very slowly. Moreover they got 2 of our orders wrong, however the manager instantly refunded the 2 erroneous dishes which was good of her (a big reason why I'm not giving just 2 stars). tl;dr super slow, somewhat poor service, great prices (2/$20 deal is amazing), good management read more

Was here Sunday. Walked in at 2 pm, a large group waiting to be sat was clogging the lobby and door. Seemed as if the restaurant was under staffed, everyone running around, no smiles, no hospitality. We chose to sit at bar. Bartender was serving entire bar and all booths as well, she was trying, but a single human being can only serve so many people and this was too many. She never gave up, but obviously service was non existent. Ordered blue moon draft, 10 minutes later she informed us they were out. Nacho and chips took almost 20 minutes to receive. Food was good, 2 star worthy. Presented us our check, when we ordered we literally pointed out we would like the 2 for $22 and the bill was all at full price. We were deal shopping Sunday, no shame in my game. She fixed the bill. All in All, Chili's of the past was better than this experience. read more

First time here and wont be back. Slow poor service and management didnt really seem to care from what i saw. Wasnt even busy and food took forever... there was a table seated two tables down from us who had yet to be served and the gentleman got up and approached a worker to let her know and STILL nobody came over to them and they ended up walking out and I dont blame them one bit. This has been our go to spot for a long time. It's nice to have a place you can go and take the entire family and be treated so well. Matt Kresse walks around checking on us and other patrons to make sure things are to our satisfactory and if not he works to make it right. Haven't been to this place in a long time and thought I would stop by during happy hour. Sat in the lounge area of the bar. Ordered two happy hour appetizers. Unfortunately, service was very slow and inattentive. My daughter had to get up and walk up to the bar to tell the bartender that we were ready to order. No one checked on us our whole visit. I was extremely disappointed in the service that I experienced. I sat for 10 minutes before the waitress came to my table. I can understand being busy (for a Sunday night, they weren't), but in the hospitality business it is important to acknowledge your customers. I would have settled for a "hello, I'll be right with you." Or when she actually came to the table a "sorry about the wait." But no. No acknowledgement and no apology. Instead, she asked what I would like to drink and then asked if I knew what entree I would like because I had been sitting awhile. So, she acknowledged the fact that she saw me sitting awhile..thanks? When the rest of my party came, she came about 5 minutes into their arrival. We were not ready yet to order, and said please give us another minute. 15 minutes later we left. She never came back to our table. Menus folded on the edge of the table, eye contact, and waving of hands, and we were ignored on all attempts. It has been a rare, almost nonexistent, occasion that I have walked out of an establishment before ordering. I enjoy Chili's, and I have eaten at other locations of theirs. This was the first time I came to this particular one, and I was baffled at the service/lack there of. We went to Uno's up the street, and we were treated like valued paying customers. I'll start off by saying the location off Sudley road looks nice at the entrance. They have a nice pond with a few chairs out front. That is where my complements end. As I walked in I noticed how run down and old the place is. It hasn't been cared for in the manner I would expect being that it is a chain. Everything from the ceiling to to floor is old and kinda sticky feeling. They have these really odd lights hanging from the ceiling that were so confusing to me. They looked like lights you would see at a construction site complete with gnarly looking extention cords...... So on to the food. We ordered the skillet queso dip as an app. It tasted like mud. And it was burned at the bottom. Very unappetizing. We sent that back and ordered the spinach and cheese dip. It had absolutely no spinach in it. It was just globs of melted white cheese. We sent that back as well and just ate the chips and salsa that it came with. Keep in mind I almost NEVER send anything back to the kitchen. So the manager comes to our table and tries to explain to us what skillet queso dip is and why there was no spinach in the other dip....Like this was our first experience eating Mexican food LOL! I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas. They give you this contraption with little tiny spoonfuls of sour cream, cheese, jalapeño and diced tomatoes. I instantly knew I had a problem. I haven't seen any other chili's do that. I asked for more sour cream, cheese etc.. My food comes out and I received a couple ounces of steak, chicken and shrimp. I got more shrimp that anything else so that was confusing. No melted cheese in the skillet or anything. I am usually not one to complain so I ate. I was very unsatisfied. So the bills comes and we see that not only have they charged us for the chips we ate (remember we only ate them because we had 2 really bad apps) but the waitress also charged us for the extra sour cream and cheese! Wow! We ask to speak with the manager and had to explain to him why we shouldn't be charged for the chips we ate and also asked if it was policy to charge customers for extra cheese and sour cream. He eventually agreed to remove the chips and salsa but only after asking him twice. He acted like we had nothing better to do that day than to come in his terribly run down restaurant and try to scam him out of a few bland tortilla chips and extra sour cream. I was so amazed by his attitude that it was impossible to get angry! My advice would be to skip this restaurant completely. Last weekend I used Chilis online ordering system to order the smothered chicken burrito. First thing to know is the chilis online system doesn't allow you to pay via gift card. Not a huge deal but a small annoyance since you can pay via gift card at pick up. The menu describes the smothered chicken burritos as being covered in a chili lime sauce, melted cheese, and sour cream. I ordered the burritos minus sour cream. When I picked up my food there was nothing on top of the burrito. When I asked the server about no cheese and sauce they said you asked for no sour cream. I said I know but I still wanted the cheese and chili lime sauce. They acted surprised that somebody would want cheese and the sauce if they didn't want sour cream. They took back the food and said they would fix it and it would be 2 or 3 minutes. A couple of minutes later they came back from the kitchen and said it was almost ready with the cheese. I said cheese only, what about the chili lime sauce? I was then told it only comes topped with cheese and sour cream. I then showed them the menu where it said chili lime sauce. They looked confused and then went back to the kitchen. I got my food a few minutes later and there was a little cheese on top and a cup of sauce on the side. Taste wise the burrito was good but not better than chipotle or Moes yet costs more. Nothing terrible happened but lots of little things could have been better. read more

We decided to take our kids and their families out after going to the Bull Run Lights display before Christmas this year. 7 adults, and 2 children(18mths and 2 mnths) Used the bathroom while we waited for all the party to arrive and were shocked at how DISGUSTING the state of the women's bathroom was. Not only was there filth from the day, but the place has not had a good scrubbing in months. Black goo up the walls from the floor up, and the corners and toilets were just gross. If I were an employee, I would quit over having to use these restrooms. The seats and tables where we were seated were equally gross. The children's highchairs were covered with the same black crud on the legs of the chairs as well as the furniture we all used. This place has NO cleaning schedule, and the manager must have given up, or just doesn't care. We ordered quesedillas, steak, some chicken dishes, and were underwhelmed by all the plates. The quesedillas had little flavor and were bland. My sons rare steak came grey and overcooked to shoe leather consistency. Our chips with our app. were so fragile you could not dip them into the 2 dips...broke into tiny pieces. In fact the entire bowl was broken, and more were the size of a quarter than regular chips. We complained and got a new basket, but it was really too late...They did have a nice menu for food allergy diets, but even these menus were as sticky and greasy as our other menus. We used to eat here quite regularly in the past 20 years, but as you look over the past reviews, it seems the stars are hard to come by in the past 2-3 years. They need to close this location, take all the tables and chairs out to the parking lot, and scrub them down with degreaser and disinfectant. Then with dining room empty, hose the entire place down. The bathrooms need it done twice...I will never go back to this restaurant, and pay good money for the lousy dining experience. The waiter we had was very nice, and he was very attentive to our complaint about the chips and re cooking the steak. We were all finished eating by that time, so my son took the steak home. I went to Chilis yesterday January 6th. We had not been to Chilis for a very long time. My husband and I had the two for twenty deal plus he added extra for his steak. My choice was supposed to be a Quesadilla bacon and Ranch. it was the worst Quesadilla I had ever had. not even the flour tortilla tasted like the real deal. I won't return. We only go out once in a while so it was a huge let down to not at least have enjoyed it. I did not even get through half. Me and my husband dropped in here late one night since its close to our house. We both come as long time servers in restaurants which now we do part time for quick cash as we both finished school. And I must say I have never been pushed away like that. The chiles by our old house closed at 12. This one at 11. We came at 10:40 after a shift at the Fairfax Red Lobster. The guy (a server) didn't greet us. He just spurted out "Uh well we're closing In 15 minutes ". We are fully aware of people coming in before close. And you know what you are supposed to take people till you lock the door. Especially corporate restaurants like that. We decided to get to go from the bar and the bar tender was nice. This place is a joke. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. 35 minutes pass by so we ask how much longer and the hostess said "uh we called your name 3 times and no one answered". She did not, because we were sitting right next to them the whole time. We finally sat down and it took 15 minutes to get drinks, and she gave us the wrong appetizer. No one got refills. No one asked to take our actual dinner order until 1 hour in, even after we notified the manager. After we placed our order another hour has passed, and still nothing so we asked for it all to go. Took another 35 minutes for that. We get in the car and our to go food wasn't even correct. I have never in my life seen a restaurant work this poorly. read more

I love this Chillis it is the best in the area. I have never been dissapointed in the quality of food when dining here. The servers are always fast and friendly and the food hot. My favorite meals here are the chicken crispers with mashed potatoes and gravy and the chicken quesadilla.
