I called 40 minutes ahead asking how busy they were and they responded with not busy at all, surprisingly slow for a Saturday night, I then proceeded to say okay well I have about 13 people coming in around 6:40 pm, and he said okay that should be fine, let me take down your name and the time and the table will be ready when you arrive. And here we are 35 minutes later and have not been seated, BUT the long line of 17 people have been seated... ALSO, where is the manager when two families Nearly fought as we are waiting, great entertainment. This place was so dirty, the floor was gross. The food was ok. The French fries I got tasted like yesterdays French fries. Chicken wings weren't terrible, but were kind of meh. This location is an absolute disaster in contrast to the Woodbridge location. We've been here since 1:30 (finally called the manager over at 1:48) and not one person offered us a drink of water. We initially walked in and spoke with the young lady at the front check-in area and she explained that there was a wait for the restaurant, but we could be served at the bar if we sat down. I explicitly asked her about the table area at the bar, and she explained that it seats 8 people (it was only 2 of us), and that it was a part of the bar. It wasn't until we called the manager over, that anyone bothered to explain to us that we were misinformed by their greeter. We opted to leave instead of waiting any longer on the principle that we didn't add our name to a waitlist because their greeter failed to properly communicate. Since they closed the Chili's close to our house it's been 4-5 years since we've been to a Chili's location. We were in the area and decided to drop by. Came here for lunch and it was spot on. Everything from the food and service was perfect. Food was cooked perfectly. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The timing of each course was perfect, dishes were cleared prior to each course. Bathrooms were impeccably clean. The whole experience from walking in to leaving was just superb. We got ribs, chicken tenders, tacos, baked potato soup and kids mac and cheese. The baked potato soup is killer.. My wife and I both agreed, one of the best lunches we've had. I ordered for carry out so my experience is just based on that. I called around 11:30am to place my order for lunch. The woman who took my order was nice and told me that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes, so not bad. I pulled up to the Chili's and I noticed that they had To go" parking spaces that are closer to the restaurant (it's not a huge difference in distance but I'm just saying) which was convenient. They also have a door that you go through specifically for carry out orders which is nice because you don't have to go through the regular side where the dine in guests are. There was a guy on the phone when I arrived to pick up my order so this young lady assisted me. She might have been the one that took my order over the phone but nonetheless she nice as well. I was in and out in all of about 3 minutes. I had ordered steak fajitas which weren't bad but I've had better. It was pretty average food to me and definitely not worth the $18 I paid. I will say that they give you a lot of meat. The fajitas came with beans, rice, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, cheese, salsa, and tortillas. I didn't eat the pico de gallo or the salsa but everything else was OK. The guac looked a little funny and by funny I mean it was turning brown. Overall I think it's overpriced for average food. Went here for lunch with my brother today and had the best server. His name was Patrick! I cannot even express how upbeat and nice he was! So i had my sisters service dog with me (I'm one of her handlers) and he was amazing with us! Most servers are Leary and some even ask me if she's a real service dog or what problems I have. He did not! He came right to our table and asked if she wanted a bowl of water! He was awesome and understanding! Definitely will be coming back because of Patrick! My husband and I dined at the Chili's location in Manassas last night. We were greeted by the host in a timely fashion, and were seated in a booth across from the restrooms and adjacent to a family with a baby and a toddler. I prayed for silence from the children. After having sat for about ten minutes, a member of the waitstaff finally alerted another server that we had not been waited on yet. To his credit, our server (Bryan) did apologize for the delay. We immediately placed our drink and food orders, since we already had such a lengthy time to peruse the menu. Chili's had a special on their menu where you can order an appetizer, two entrees, drinks, and dessert from specially selected menu items for a total of $35. We opted for that, and chose to upgrade our drinks to Patron Mango Margaritas for an additional $4. For the appetizer, we ordered the tableside guacamole. A couple minutes later, a different server returned, and she told us that we couldn't get the tableside guacamole, because they were "out of the little cups they make it in." What? Anyway, she offered to give me a pre-made guacamole that they apparently had in the fridge. I told her that was fine. When she brought it, the appearance and smell of the guacamole revealed that it was either old, made from overripe (read: rotten) avocados, or both. Yuck! It was a dull yellowish color, instead of the normal vibrant green one expects of a good guacamole. My husband ordered some salsa, to avoid eating the less-than-appealing guacamole. I don't blame him. (I brought it home for my pet rat to eat, who, by the way, also refused to eat the guacamole....he's a bit of a gourmand.) My husband ordered baby back ribs, which were quite good, according to him. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin, to be prepared rare. To my delight, my steak actually was rare upon its arrival. Although tasty, it did not come with the grilled avocado as was listed on the menu. Instead, it came with French fries and broccoli. I like cruciferous vegetables, but they don't like me, so I didn't eat the broccoli. I wanted avocado! The French fries were good. Finally, our Mango margaritas came, and they were pretty good, although they were served in big beer steins, instead of traditional margarita glasses. Guess they ran out of those, too. While we were seated in the booth next to the restroom, there was a sudden onset of shrieking by an infant inside the restroom. I advised my husband that they must be replenishing their supply of baby back ribs. At this point, from our vantage point at the prime seating location at the restroom, I spotted a muscular male food service person walking around the kitchen wearing a black tank top (aka, "wife beater shirt") while dealing with food preparation. His underarm hair was visible. Yuck. He proceeded to strut about, ventured out to the bar, and stood with his arms touching the bar and leaning forward, so I got another good view of his armpit hair. Nice. I'm sure the health department would LOVE that. Lastly, dessert. We decided on a piece of cheesecake, from the list of dessert items to share with the dinner option we had selected. Upon its arrival, the slice of cheesecake looked really good! Alas, it was frozen inside. And I do mean frozen. There were ice crystals throughout the cheesecake, similar to what you'd experience if you eat ice cream that has been in the freezer too long. Again, our waiter, Bryan was pleasant. I'd say he was the most positive aspect of our visit, but we won't be going back. We ordered the following items: Chips and Salsa, Fajita Trio, Caribbean Salad and 3 kids meals with Mac & Cheese and sides. Although the waiter was nice and pleasant, everything else turned out to be a disaster. Salad was not fresh, Shrimp was burnt, the sides for the Fajitas (lettuce and tomatoes looked stale) and Mac & Cheese arrived lukewarm and looked like it had been sitting there for a while. The waiter was nice but his response time was slow and kept getting slower as more people arrived. My husband and I went to Chilis in Manassas Va. Our visit was the worst. We have been coming to this Chilis for years and always had great service. This day 4/4/19 around 4:30 we sat and waited for our server. He walked passed our table a number of times without acknowledging us at all. This young man was extremely rude. I've been to this location a handful of times and I have yet to be impressed. First off, it just looks and feels filthy. All of the servers I had were nice enough I suppose, but very inattentive and aloof. I always feel bad waving down a server, especially if it's busy, but you almost have to at this place! The food is mediocre at best, nothing I would bother taking home in a doggy-bag. If it was for the food and restaurant service alone I would never go back. I give it 2 stars for the simple fact that they make a REALLY good Mango Patron Margarita. So I'm sure their other drinks are fantastic too! So if you do go, just sit in the bar area where the bartender can take care of you so you don't end up wasting your time on average food and lousy service in the dining area. read more

Have not been there for years - used to be a great place to eat a nice lunch - terrific burgers - great atmosphere... well, sorry but times have changed and I suspect Chili's is falling on hard times. I remember real glass mugs for the ice tea - today my ice tea came in a dirty plastic mug (had food particles on the base) and the tea was metallic tasting - ordered a second glass, more of the same - mugs are so worn they have nicks in them and the are etched or frosted - translation is I couldn't tell if they were clean or not. Ordered the bacon burger and ask for crispy bacon - came out limp as it can be and under cooked; burger was juicy and tasted okay but I've had better... I don't think they are using the same quality of meat they used to, but like I said, it was editable and the fries were good. The table was greasy and they have some electronic gizmo on the table that they are hyping - it had a credit card swiper on it and so I didn't mess with it - I think it had games and app's you could pay to entertain yourself while waiting; my guess is it will be a flop because we pushed it back to the edge of the far side of the table and watched others do the same - almost no one in our view ever touched it other than to move it... I go there to eat, not play games or watch videos! Just another revenue stream I suspect... Wait staff was adequate and paid fairly good attention to us but it did take 22 mins to get our food after ordering and I felt, for lunch, that is too long (and we went at 11:30, before the "rush." ) Overall, it's not the Chili's we used to go to years ago when I worked nearby and after today, I doubt we will return, it's just not as good as Fosters or 5 Guys. My husband and I went to Chili's last night for a rare dinner out. We decided on Chili's as it's usually consistent and a safe bet (plus, I really wanted their skillet queso). We ordered the ribeye and it was horrible; grey, grilled on one side, and not to order (we asked for rare and got medium rare). We sent them back and I ordered the fajitas, which are always good, but they were just as bad if not worse. The steak was grey and completely well done. I have a feeling they got a new cook... Going to Chili's was quite out of the ordinary for the wife and I. We were leaving Costco and wanted something quick to eat, but not fast food, and decided on Logan's. Driving over, we passed Chili's and I jokingly mentioned we could go there, but we both agreed it would be something different, so why not? (Plus, it gives me something new to Yelp about!) Overall, while it's not some place I'd go to over and over again, I'd come back for a special offer - like fajita Mondays. (More on that later) Our server was super-cool - very informative, professional, efficient, and patient as we were looking through the menu. Neither of us had been to a Chili's in like, a decade, so we didn't know where to begin. Beer options here are, like other chain restaurants, rather limited, but I'll give them credit for having Fat Tire and Negro Modelo on tap. That's a slight step up from the offerings at Ruby Tuesday. After discussion, we passed on the 2 for $20 combo deal (which is a decent offer) and the wife went for the turkey sandwich on Texas toast. The sandwich portion was large and the bread looked great. My wife liked it. The fries were well-seasoned but could have used more crispiness. I went for one of Chili's staple items - steak fajitas. I thought the portion was a bit small for the price tag, but the were tasty. Beef was good quality and everything was well-seasoned. Our server informed me that I should come on fajita Mondays, where they have a double-order for regular price. Now THAT sounds like a deal, and I may very well venture over there on a Monday to take advantage of that.
