Just prefacing this with this is perhaps the first/only negative review I've ever written. We are usually very tolerant of iffy service, but we just left and it was quite possibly the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. We were traveling home and wanted a quick, easy dinner with the kids, so opted to try Chili's. I know that Chili's sometimes has a bad reputation, but this was beyond awful. We were seated pretty quickly and our waiter came over to greet us, but it took almost 20 minutes for anyone to come take any order (we hadn't even ordered drinks/apps yet). We ordered two kids meals, a Smokehouse combo and a ribeye, plus two alcoholic beverages. The drinks took another 15 minutes or so to come out, and our food arrived another 15 minutes after that but was mostly inedible. The steak (which was ordered medium rare) came back well done and absolutely covered in salt. I tried taking a photo but it doesn't do the saltiness justice. The broccoli was raw. Literally just uncooked broccoli. Our son's meal came with a side of corn and it was the same as the broccoli- it was almost like they just thawed out frozen corn and let it dry out. Our waiter was very, very nice, albeit a bit strange, and unfortunately never checked in. No one stopped by our table all meal, so we couldn't even ask about the saltiness of the meat or the undercooked vegetables. At one point I went up to the hostess table and waited to talk to someone, but the three young women working completely ignored me until I gave up and walked back to pay and leave. The other very odd thing was that we watched a couple of bizarre employee interactions- a hostess arguing with table staff about which tables to bus, someone accidentally clearing a table where the customers hadn't left yet (they were in the bathroom) which resulted in an argument, etc. All in all it was terrible, and would never go back there or recommend it. read more

The food was just okay and I gave 3 stars for the good service. I take my nephew to lunch/dinner monthly and he loves Chili's so that's where we end up more often than not and the food and menu have not changed much. We had the tortilla chips and salsa to snack on before our food arrived. The chips were good and fresh but we did not enjoy the salsa. He loved his triple dipper (Nashville hot honey mozzarella sticks, chicken crispers and chicken wings. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger and they cooked it perfectly but it was missing the caramelized onions, instead it had tiny pieces of regular onions which did not compliment the burger and the French fries were unfortunately cold. Our server was good conserving he had a few tables. The atmosphere is your typically chain restaurant with TVs playing different sport channels. The staff here is really nice. I came in, ordered food and forgot to ask for time estimate and went back to my car. She went outside and looked for me when my order was done. Great service! i don't think i ever been to chilis which is an outrageous statement to make especially as i live in america. so i said that and they were like wtf we got to take you there. so we went there. my first time in a chilis and it was on the other side of the country. it is their weekly haunt and my cousin was like im scared im gonna see my classmates but thankfully we did not see any. they got chicken tenders and i ordered the chicken ranch quesadillas. they were honestly really good and i had sm extra i saved it for another few days and they were still good then so i think that speaks volumes as to the quality of the food. chilis is awesome. and we got this pizookie after and it was so so sweet and that literally felt like the most american thing in the world. 4 STARS! read more

I'm a regular, and I saw another regular come in tonight. I was sitting with my husband at the bar and I saw the manager approach a customer. The person that she was with comes in and is very social and causes no issues that I'm aware of, and I frequent the establishment. The Manager walked over to her companion and started to tell her associate about how she would not be served alcohol ever again in the establishment. The manager stated that she was here the night before with a friend and she saw her fall on the ice. When the Manager approached the woman she had a smile on her face and said she had too much to drink the night prior. The woman contested that she had 4" heels on and her and her friend were walking to her friend's car when she slipped on the ice. The manager never asked her if she was ok from the fall, and I guess the manager didn't check on the woman the night prior to see if she needed help or an Uber. But she did accuse her of being drunk often. When I generally see this woman, she is with another that looks similar who has slipped and fallen because of her cane. The regulars said that her friend had just passed and I believe the manager has gotten them confused. Needless to say, the other patron was embarrassed, and the way it was handled was less than professional. The patron said, your women's bathroom floor is covered in water and you weren't concerned last night when I slipped on ice with heels on. Very unprofessional. The people who go there regularly and sit most of the day drink more than the 2 drinks the manager said she was served. Also, she wasn't driving. So if someone isn't bothering or hurting anyone and comes back to the establishment you as a franchise are going to humiliate them for having a bad night? If it was such an issue why didn't you check on the woman the night before instead of humiliating her on a Friday night? It makes it very uncomfortable for other middle aged people to come into the bar to catch up with friends. Are you going to throw me or my husband out next because you don't like us? read more

A little something for everyone. Even with the bar off to the side, they are keeping up with local favorites and seasonal Margaritas Hidden favorite located off the Industrial Ave Exit of the Lowell Connector. One thing from traveling is that this location offers the consistency that the Chilies Brand requires. Near to local hotels, Crosspoint and Showcase Cinemas, there is always some time to grab a quick lunch, drink after work, quiet dinner or a familiar family setting for the night. We need a zero star option. You can see below in the picture attached what $32 gets you when picking up at Chilli's in Lowell. I ordered the 10oz ribeye, medium rare, with avocado and grilled aspargus. Picked it up and this is what I got. $32 for overcooked steak that was marketed at 10oz (but weighed at home at 6.7oz), uncooked asparagus and rotten avocado. The manager at this restaurant (a man with a ponytail) called my server over to him from our table while she was answering questions we had. Then called call her again she responded the second time as she was busy this first, and upon her walking over to him said to her "when a manager calls you you fucking come". We go to this Chili's every couple of months when we visit family in Lowell. The coconut margaritas are outstanding! We always sit at the bar and have always had good service. On a Saturday night the bartender was slammed but she did a great job getting everyone taken care of. We had an appetizer sampler -- everything on it was tasty. Was my first time here and certainly wasn't disappointed. It's not the best steakhouse I ever been to but it lives up to it's name. Starting off with Texas cheese fries was an ideal start. It kept me craving for more. The main course was Sirloin steak with garlic sauce and broccoli with mashed potatoes. We had the steak perfectly cooked to the right consistency and color. Coupled with A1 it was juicy and moist. The mashed potatoes with spring onions left a tender taste in the mouth. All in all I loved it. However, the one thing I'll surely recommend and probably most already know is the cheesecake with strawberry puree. It's heavenly. Soft, buttery and eternal bliss. We went for lunch today and sat at the bar. The bartender was quick to take our orders, and the drinks were fine. However, the bar too was sticky and the silverware had old stick on food on it when we removed out from the bags. Once we got replacement silverware, the food arrived and half way through my Santa Fe salad, I pound a 12" piece of string mixed into in my salad! Gross! Why would there be string in a chopped salad? Gotta admit, it tasted like they were stale. I wanted to show a manager, but asking them to reach I to my fries for a taste... admit it: that's a bit creepy. Manager 2 brought me my burger and asked me if I wanted to save the old one. "Maybe you have an animal?" Thankfully, my Border Collie can't read this. I turned down Chili's generous offer to bring an overcooked patty home to my family and/or my dog, aka my family. My daughter and I finished our meals and our drinks, and we asked for the check. Upon receipt, I reviewed the draft: I found that the total was around $30... the subtotal was around $30, but the middle showed a comp of about $12. They had doubled up on my burger bill but comped one. --look, some facilities comp when they foul up an order. Others don't comp but they make it right. All that's good. But THIS facility did something I've never, never seen. They counted both my original order AND my request for correction...then they comped one. actually it was my first time ever going to chili's, and this location made my night because of our server James! he is so nice and friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu. we got the classic sirloin and sirloin with avocado. for the price, it wasn't bad at all and the steaks were cooked medium rare like we asked. i wish the asparagus was a little more seasoned but James gave me A1 sauce so it was fine. the jackberry margarita was super yum, tasted like juice so beware. for dessert we got the skillet cookie, and they had a deal where if you bought two, you'd get the second one for two dollars. honestly one would've been fine, but i couldn't pass up that deal. the skillet cookie was super yum and left us in a food coma, i don't think i could finish a whole skillet cookie by myself, it's just too heavy for me, but i would get it again to share with the table or a couple people. a great way to end off the night. if you ever come to this chili's ask for james, he's the best! read more
