The store itself is really clean but management needs to clean up and get some staff that wants to delivery food within a timely manner. Partially wish I could give 0 stars, the service was nearly unbearable, the ONE waitress who was nice and about to take our order got sent home over an argument that took place in the back after taking our drink orders from then on everything continued to go down hill,after which it took nearly 20 minutes for them to figure out who would replace her. My mom's birthday is today 10/13 and she asked to order her food from chilis, my daughter picked up the food only to discover that her hamburger was basically RAW!! I mean it was literally pink inside!! My daughter ordered the honey chipotle chicken crispers, they were COLD, it wasn't even the correct sauce on the food, also my Southwest eggrolls looked like they were cooked YESTERDAY!! This is truly unacceptable!! So we just threw the food away. What a way to ruin a person's 70th birthday!! Needless to say we will never be eating there again!! Just left Chili's in Laplace. The server behind the bar was a total disappointment. She didn't bring out the salad as ordered. She brought out the wrong side and when we said something, she responded "oh, it's OK". She charged us for an upcharge on fries and tried to deliver them after we finished our burgers. When the manager came over he was just as nonchalant about the whole experience. He disregarded us and refused to listen to our comments. The entire staff was more interested in watching the football game than serving the customers. Absolutely the worst. LaPlace doesn't have many places to eat so I decided to try it again. Bad decision. The first time I came was when they first opened the restaurant up in LaPlace. I ordered hamburger well done. When the waiter bought my phone I put catchup on the burger and bite into it and I saw raw red meat. I told the waitress. She took my burger which had catchup and a plug bitten out and recooked it. I couldn't believe it. Of course I couldn't eat it. I said I would never eat there again. Today I tried it again. Place my order. 40 min later the waitress came back and asked for my order again. She said she misplaced my order. About an hour later I asked her how much longer, she said about 30 minutes. It wasn't crowded at all. I just got up and left since all I had was water. She had brought me bread but I didn't eat any because I was waiting on my food. Just horrible. My husband and I went in and stood at the hostess stand, we couldn't find a single worker in the whole place even though there were a fair amount of patrons eating. We figured it had to have been only a matter of time until someone came from the back. We waited and waited and waited until finally we saw someone come from the back and start sweeping the floor near some empty tables. I thought perhaps she hadn't greeted us because she hadn't seen us so we waited longer. After a few more minutes of this, I decided to approach her. I politely asked her if we should be standing at the front or could we just sit anywhere? She told me she would be with us in a moment and that she had to sweep the floor. Mind you she is just sweeping what looked like some fallen tortilla chips from a group that had been long gone as the table she was sweeping around had already been bussed and set back up. I returned to the hostess stand an my husband and I continued to wait... after 5 more minutes of standing there (my husband timed her) while she swept, we left! As I was leaving I placed a call to the manager on duty and asked to have the GM return my phone call... haven't heard anything back and this was about 3 weeks ago!!! The staff needs to be retrained and taught that the customer comes first! Short of her cleaning up a biohazard she should've never asked us to wait while she swept. It wouldn't have taken her but a few moments to seat us and return to her sweeping. We won't be returning! Finally the waitress walked up and made a face and said, "I guess he doesn't know I'm the only one working this section." We place our order, which includes chips and salsa. 10 minutes later, my husband realizes the table of 8 sitting near our table gets their soups and appetizers (they were seated after us and had a different waiter). 8 minutes after that (total of 18 now), she walks by to tell us our food is almost ready. I then ask about our chips and salsa and she responds, "Oh, I couldn't remember who I had those for" and laughs. Finally get our chips and had to reminder her I asked for sour cream with it. 10 minutes later, our food arrives. It was obvious it had been sitting there for a while. Melted butter on top of my ribeye was hard. Husband's fajita meat was not sizzling. Edges of his tortilla shells were hard. I only ate 3 bites of my steak, bc the outside was hard, which was frustrating for the price I paid. We spent $53 total and left unsatisfied. Waitress never came to ask if we needed to go boxes or anything, so we paid on the kiosk and left. Not that I was going to take home the food. Disappointed at how much food was paid for, but waisted. Why so many bad reviews? I was always told that when an establishment is crowded the food and service is great, and this location is always crowded. I have never experienced a bad plate of food or poor service at this Chili's. The food is always hot and fresh, and I always feel I am transported into the city and out of La Place when I am here. I normally dine in and I am always greeted upon arrival and seated in a timely manner. The lunch crowd can be overwhelming, nonetheless I always enjoy my dining experience. My favorite menu items are the honey barbecue boneless wings & the classic spinach dip; oh how I love thee with a glass of strawberry lemonade. Happy hour is also great for anyone wanting to mellow out, chill with a buddy, lover, or co-worker. Trying to avoid the dining crowd: take your food to go. The ladies that operate the to-go area are excellent with customers and taking to-go orders. The food is great and I am glad this chain restaurant opened in my community. I love it here!
