The best catfish I'd ever had was at Paula Dean's in Tennessee -- that is until I had this catfish. OMGGGG! Unreal. I love these hole-in-the-wall places like this that just make the best food. You'd never assume this would be the best meal I had all trip by looking at the pictures, but it certainly was. Fairly priced. Friendly staff. Super clean. 10/10 experience! My only complaint if I HAD to say something: I wish they had a house-made tartar sauce. The little packet they give you was lackluster. But otherwise incredible meal!!!!

But the counter service is quick and you won't have to wait long. The full-size po-boys are massive. If you get a Ferty (roast beef, ham, Swiss cheese), bring a construction crew to help you eat it, or be prepared to be eating leftovers for two or three days. I love a good shrimp po-boy, but it's usually too big for me. I have landed on the Shrimp on a bun as a fantastic alternative. It's so overstuffed with shrimp you can't eat it without them falling out. And it is perfectly dressed with just the right amount of lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayonnaise. And the fries! Y'all, the fries are so crispy and delicious, and they also come in a massive amount. Too many for one sitting. This is a place I regularly stop at for lunch when I am in this area.

Kind and helpful assistance at the register figuring out what we wanted. Excellent catfish in the fish platter, battered fries and delicious garlic bread toasted on the buttery garlic side. Almost tried, didn't want to ruin it by being over full though! Excited to have more later. We promised we will be back, and I sure hope we keep it!

The real pathetic thing is we were the only people there and they still couldn't get it right.

I really hate writing bad reviews, but Waffle House (Loc #2343) simply deserves it... TERRIBLE!…read more I placed an online order, paid in-app, I arrived at the quoted completion time, walked up to the counter, showed the employee my order confirmation, and the employee told me to sit and wait. I waited almost 30 mins before that same employee realized that my food had been sitting on their counter the entire time. Basically, my order was already ready for pickup when I first arrived, bagged and getting cold; but no one ever cared to check! The employee casually handed me my food. Naturally, I inquired why I was made to wait so long. In response, I got ALL the ATTITUDE in the world from both the employee and the manager on duty. They were completely dismissive, provided horrible service, and were overall rude people. They did not care one bit about what I was trying to say. Sadly, all this happened near a table with young kids listening in. As much as I love Waffle House, I will NEVER EVER go back to 1922 W Airline Hwy in LaPlace, LA. Honestly, it's not about the unnecessarily long wait, it's not about the $30 meal or the $5 tip...it's the principle. I sincerely hope they get it together for the sake of other Waffle House lovers out there!

The first 10 minutes ok its expected with fast food but 30 minutes is ridiculous people were honking as was i and the only reason the line moved was because people were tired of waiting.I dont know when they started the promo that theyll pay for the gas you waste in their drive thru? Id rate it zero stars. When i got to the window i honked atleast 3 times and no answer.. Only for one of the employees tellling another employee i was honking etc. Im usually a very patient person but it doesn't take 30 minutes to put a burger and drink together with 3 people working an absolute shame. I was doing doordash and ended up canceling the order after waiting an extra 20 minutes for someone to have to go sit and wait on people not doing their job. Discusting representation of a fast food chain absolutely despicable...AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
