I Got a burger, it was delicious. The place need better kitchen ventilation, if you eat inside your are going to smell like food.

Today 10/2/2024. Connie's brought back her famous chicken fried steak after three years It was just perfect. Served mash potatoes, Mac and cheese , peas, salad and hot corn bread. It was so good. Almost as good as the famous fried chicken.

After being stuck inside all day on bed rest, I needed something hot to eat. Playing around on google I stumbled across a restaurant name Connie's. I called and the lovely lady that answered told me what was Thursday's lunch specials. I knew off the bat, that I wanted a breaded pork chop, however I couldn't decided if I wanted white beans or cabbage. Well once again the lovely lady by the name Mrs. Sheryl said "baby here at Connie's, you don't have to decide, get a little taste of everything. And that, I did. I got bread pork chop a side of cabbage and potato salad white beans and a piece of jalapeno cornbread. Everything was so delicious, the breaded pork chop was not salty at all, just the right about of seasonings. This will be my new little spot whenever I don't feel like cooking. The food and service was excellent.

A+ location, quality food, fast service, and plenty of full for your buck. I love this location so much better than the other one countries in a more populated area of people can see it from the highway, and they can get their recognition they deserve.

    Trio- soo good

I fear I will be thinking about this meal for the rest of life. I love catfish BUT I'm also very…read morepicky about it. The best catfish I'd ever had was at Paula Dean's in Tennessee -- that is until I had this catfish. OMGGGG! Unreal. I love these hole-in-the-wall places like this that just make the best food. You'd never assume this would be the best meal I had all trip by looking at the pictures, but it certainly was. Fairly priced. Friendly staff. Super clean. 10/10 experience! My only complaint if I HAD to say something: I wish they had a house-made tartar sauce. The little packet they give you was lackluster. But otherwise incredible meal!!!!

But the counter service is quick and you won't have to wait long. The full-size po-boys are massive. If you get a Ferty (roast beef, ham, Swiss cheese), bring a construction crew to help you eat it, or be prepared to be eating leftovers for two or three days. I love a good shrimp po-boy, but it's usually too big for me. I have landed on the Shrimp on a bun as a fantastic alternative. It's so overstuffed with shrimp you can't eat it without them falling out. And it is perfectly dressed with just the right amount of lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayonnaise. And the fries! Y'all, the fries are so crispy and delicious, and they also come in a massive amount. Too many for one sitting. This is a place I regularly stop at for lunch when I am in this area.

Here's what we ordered and thought he about it: Appetizer - French toast - toddler loved it but not size not worth the price - Meat pies- 4 tiny meat pies, flavor ok but not worth the price -duck quesadilla - I knew it was questionable with paired with jack cheese but I wanted to give it a try. It was a soggy greasy mess. But th sauce was good. Entrees - Chicken and waffles - decent flavor nothing fancy just decent - Kids Seafood crepe - the sauce was great, try crepes were a bit different but good the only thing missing was THE SEAFOOD. Yep, probably had two shrimp the whole crepe and they were cut in half. - Kida chicken tenders - waaaay too hard for kids to eat. The chicken tasted like charred burnt chicken. Like the third maybe 2nd batch of chicken in hot grease that cooks too fast on the outside so it is much darker, harder, and burned than the first batch. I asked for something else because after trying a piece of thr crust, I knew the kids couldn't eat that. The chef refused to take it back or replace INSTEAD he gave extra...like seriously if I feel they couldn't eat the first WHY I WOULD I WANT MORE. Overall, likely not to return. I saw two other tables call server over with issue. One of the deconstructed seafood pivot. Expensive and a waste of money. It was 3 towers of French bread with shrimp in a cream sauce. I saw the waitress tell the guy that it was filled with shrimp in the middle. Well, he opened his up and it was nothing but dry bread. He was visibly pissed. I'm glad I didn't order the full entree seafood crepes but I would have been upset with the amount of seafood which was shrimp only in it.

They have a young staff and management could work on speech with staff. I had to ask our staff person three times what he was saying. Atmosphere is nice the place looked clean and the tablecloth is set for kids to have fun. So good place for little ones. They have booths and tables. We ordered chargrilled oysters for the table. They arrived in middle of meal. Timing off. They were good but not Drago's. They could have had more cheese and garlicky sauce. We split a seafood platter which feeds two people a good lunch. It had shrimp, fish, oysters fries and hush puppies. I am glad the chef does not over salt. The fish was not to our liking. They use catfish but the fish was very muddy tasting. I trimmed all the blood line off the meat but fish was ruined due to not being cleaned properly. Shrimp were very good. They are a nice size fried in a light batter and deboned. They would be something I would go back for. The oyster were good but they had a different seasoning that didn't enhance the flavor. I wish you guys the best but you really need to stand out cause the competition in south Louisiana is fierce.
