However, the waitstaff at this Chili's impressed me. She was constantly at our tables to ensure our drinks were refilled and if we needed anything. In addition, all our orders arrived correctly. So, why just 4 stars? Well...when we arrived, there was a long wait. So, some of us headed to the bar to get a head start on getting plastered. This is a nice tex-mex restaurant. Their table side guacamole is something to try. Its made fresh at your table as you watch. Tortilla chips was very oily and too delicate. Tex-Mex Mexican bowl was really good. I asked a veggie version and they gave a bowl that had a black bean patty instead of chicken. Veggie fajita was good as well. They made our visit a pleasure. We must have had something on our forehead that says "don't help us". I don't normally write a bad review, but this place just sucks with service. First, when we walked in, nobody greeted us or anything. Finally a server came up to seat us. Then, about ten minutes goes by and nobody came to take our drink orders or even to tell us to pound sand - nothing. It was a slow evening and there were plenty of servers around, including one filling salt shakers, so it's not as if they were overwhelmed. We just left. Do not go here if you expect service. I haven't been to a Chili's in over 10 years and after this experience I can remember why. I came here for a friend's birthday and ordered a glass of wine immediately after I sat down. It took a little longer than I thought it would but our waitress was nice about it. I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas with the rice and beans. It was extremely disappointing. I was expecting the flavors to be bold or at least existent - they weren't. My entire dish tasted like nothing had been seasoned and my beans were more juice than beans if you can imagine that. So a girlfriend of mine & I went to this chili's for an early lunch today & we received the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Comparable to the location in Midlo as well. I ordered a steak/mash/broccoli/shrimp combo & she ordered an app. The steak was BLOODY & not thoroughly cooked as requested. The manager came over and offered to recook it & did I want to eat the rest of it while I wait??!! There was blood spewed on the mash and broccoli. No thank you. Awesome. I'm a "special needs" eater (Gluten Free) and often have issues with dining out due to ignorance or just plain stupidity. This place accommodated my diet by giving us a salad that wasn't part of the 2 for $20 special and made sure that I had everything that I needed to eat. Arrived at the restaurant w/ a party of eight. I was told the wait was 15-20 mins. That 15-20 mins took damn near 1 hour. Big kicker for me......my party and I were waiting for one FUCKING chair and management wanted to split a party of eight, because of ONE FUCKING chair. Mind you, there was a table for six that had a party of three. It took me to bring that to the hostess (x2) and the manager. WTF did I miss. If you have a person with visual impairment, don't come here. Their new lighting is dim and not adjustable. The chili recipe has changed too, and not for the better. I ate dinner at the Glen Allen, VA Chili's on 7/17/19 - Food was ok and the service was ok at first but the server (Ashlynn) seemed to be in a hurry for me to leave (I sat in the bar) - offered me a to go box when I wasn't halfway through my meal. So I took the box, ate some more and put the rest of the food in the to go box for my lunch tomorrow. I had a little less than half my meal and about 1/3 of my large beer left. I ran to the rest room for about a minute to wipe my shirt and they cleared my table. SUCKS! When I came back they came out with a container - said they held it for me even though they cleared my table because they thought I'd left. I didn't want it after they dug it out from wherever. Anyway, for whatever reason they seemed to be in a hurry for me to leave so I'll be sure not to go back. I tip well, their loss. read more

Usually I love this place. My husband and I come here a few times a month. This time, not so good. We were sat and we watched servers and hosts walking around, joking, and laughing for 15 minutes. One server even made eye contact with me. The host that sat us walked by us quite a few times. No one said anything to us and we were just on our phones at this point. We ended up going to casa grande and got our food before anyone acknowledged our presence at chili's. As a former server, I can say firsthand that this should never happen. read more

Rating is not for the food but for the service.. we ordered starters and main course for 4 ppl. The waiter got the starter out and when we are having our starter itself they just came up with main course and tried to move things around the table to keep that.. we have to rush and finish the starters just to make room.. I've never seen a restaurant where we have to accommodate the convenience of the waiter and eat accordingly.. after main course is finished we asked them to clear the table and ordered desserts.. to our surprise the waiter asked us to stake the dishes and move it to the end of the table.. I've never had such an experience anywhere.. we are still in shock about the our experience in Chillis today.. I really hope the management take some action to correct this.. read more

Wasn't in a hurry for lunch, so I just walked into the bar for a salad. Clean and about half full, mostly local workers, nice diverse group. Food looked great coming out of the kitchen and no overheard mention of slow or timeliness on orders. Bartender was great and moved food and drinks chatting with everyone as she served. Ok.....now I'm not a chain restaurant girl at all. My friends practically dragged me here and I was very reluctant. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This place looks like it's freshly renovated and looks nothing like some of the other outdated, greasy chain restaurants I've seen. Our waiter rocked (we sat in the bar area) and never had to be asked to refill our drinks or didn't disappear for long periods. I enjoyed the presentation of the nachos. The reason it loses stars is there was some food inconsistencies. One of my friends had very crunchy fries while the other had regular fries. The broccoli that came on my plate was falling into pieces it was so steamed, while my friends was crunchy and barely cooked. Stay consistent Chilis! Ribs were great, my buffalo chicken patty on my sandwich was a bit too oversized, and our cookie dessert was great. Ate here to celebrate my moms birthday as well as mine since there pretty close together. The staff is pleasant and the food is great. They have a good variety of food so there's a little of everything for everyone. Additionally, their margaritas are a must have. Happy hour house margaritas are 4.99. The raspberry is to die for (on the rocks or frozen). The Cajun chicken pasta is good as is the ranch chicken quesadillas. Texas fries are yummy too as an app. Well be returning in the future for sure. read more

We entered to an empty lobby and had to wait for a hostess to show up and seat us. What started out as a questionable decision ended up a very nice experience. Our server was helpful, engaging without being pushy and knew her menu well. I wish I could remember her name, because she is a great asset to them. The food tasted alright but every time we go to this Chipotle...we end up with diarrhea. My wife and I ate at the same spot and both get diarrhea at the same time. Ordered the smokehouse combo with the house-smoke bbq ribs and bone-in bbq chicken breast. It came with corn, garlic toast, dill pickles, and fries. Food is overpriced and quality of food is terrible. The ribs were lukewarm, neither hot nor fresh as if it were sitting out under a lamp warmer for a while. Both the ribs and chicken breast looked and tasted as though they were boiled in water then slabbed with bbq. No smokehouse flavor at all. I could make better ribs and chicken at home in my oven or on my grill. They definitely use frozen corn. I've cooked frozen corn and fresh corn myself, I can tell the difference. I ordered cheesecake for dessert hoping it would make up for the bad food, but the cheesecake was blah and bland too. read more

Stopped by here for dinner after leaving Kings Dominion. Service was awesome. I was extremely thirsty so I drank my drink in like five seconds and she had another one to me in another 10 seconds. We got a half order of Texas cheese fries. They were served hot in a little skillet and had a nice cool refreshing jalapeno ranch on the side. I had a grilled chicken caesar salad and my date had one of the specialty burgers. He said his burger was awesome. I know I just got a salad but it was the best salad I've had in a long time. The croutons were made from ciabatta bread, Yum! Over the years I have found Chili's to be hit or miss, this was definitely a hit!! read more
