The service in Gadsden is 75% of the time horrible. I have tried to use the $10 e-bonus gift card. The first time the waitress didn't use it first and charged the regular chilis card the full amount. She told us she fixed it but the next time in we saw the $10 was lost on the chilis card. We tried again today and they charged an extra $5 on our chilis card when we checked the last 2 receipts. H O R R I B L E! We went for a celebration and sat for over 20 minutes with no acknowledgement from a server. Eventually we got up to leave (along wth other ignored customers), I stopped to speak to a manager ( 2 were standing at the hostess station along with the hostess and another employee). No one moved or attempted to correct the situation. We agreed we shouldn't have gone back after crappy service earlier this year at the same location. That time it took 15 minutes for drinks, had to stop eating to wait on refills, then we ordered a lava cake they had to re-make three times and we were STILL CHARGED for it! Hands down worst and most unsanitary environment I've ever been in. Obese waitress standing at the bar licking limes and shoving them into the margarita salt and licking them again. Woman at the bar screaming "fuck" and other such words during the Auburn game. Couldn't even enjoy my motor oil tasting steak quesadilla because literally every single waitress and waiter were laughing and talking at the top of their lungs. I stay overnight in Gadsden weekly and of all the restaurants available in the area, I choose to dine at Chilis the most. Because I am on business, I usually sit at the bar and dine. I have always had a pleasant experience with both bartenders. Both are very knowledgeable about the menu have great attitudes. When in Gadsden, definitely stop by and unwind! We were there 45 minutes before the waitress took our order. Salads came fairly quickly so that tied me over till we finally got our food. I ordered the two taco's it came with really good hot french fry's. The stuff inside the taco's was pretty good. (no avocado on it as picture displays) but it's on a flour tortilla and the filling was pretty wet so the tortilla got soggy quick. I ate it, shucks I was very hungry at this point. And my cousin had soup that was hot and good. The place was not busy so the service should have been better. I told the server that the food was not good and it was cold. This Chili's used to be so good. My family and I loved eating here, but the last few times I've eaten here it hasn't been good at all. Tonight in particular was terrible. The service was awful and my food came out cold. Our waitress refilled our drinks only once, then we waited 30 minutes to get our checks. I saw employees gathered together in the corner talking and laughing while there were tables who were still waiting for their order to be taken. This was my second visit to this Chili's location & I must say I was really disappointed. We were seated outside on the patio, which is a beautiful area. The patio is a gorgeous place to eat, with a beautiful pond, fountain, and lake to enjoy. Our waitress was new to working at Chili's, but not new to serving. She did not take our order for at least 15 minutes after being seated. She did not keep our water glasses even remotely full, not adding ice when she did get around to refilling them. It took at least 15 minutes for one member of our party to get a beer. I must compliment our server on the table side guacamole preparation. She was very well trained in that menu item. I have ordered the slider burgers with the black bean patty many different times at other Chili's location, but we were told that they could not make it for us at this location. We had to explain how to make them to the server so that she could explain it to the kitchen staff. When our check arruved, we had to ask for a pen. It took another 15 minutes for the server to pick up our check. Overall, not a good experience for a restaurant that I normally enjoy. Possibly due to inexperienced server, but as there were few patrons in the restaurant, more attention to detail could have been given. read more

I came here with my mom and her boyfriend and they are an interracial couple. We sat for an hour after all the other people got there food. When we finally got our food, the waitress dropped it,but that is not her fault. She then said it would only be 15 minutes for our food to be recooked, after waiting for an hour. read more

This place has gone so far downhill that I don't know if it's salvageable. I hoped after the last time, which was terrible as well, that maybe it was a busy night, or a one time thing but tonight was awful. The girl who helped me at the to go register, Clara, was wonderful but she was the only positive part of this whole experience. But the kitchen staff need to either learn what they're doing, or get out, and if the manager won't take the reins then he or she can go with them. I ordered to go, waited the 30 minutes to pick my order up only to be told they were out of part of my order but could have more in 25 minutes. Bear in mind I placed this order 30 minutes before. I got the order home, my wife's salad was left out entirely, and my burger was so raw it was still telling me to "eat more chikin". This place either needs new management or to get out of the way where we can have some decent dining options again. read more

Oh my! We detoured from our road trip home from Atlanta back to Guntersville just to eat at this Chili's. We saw that it was prom season as we pulled in the parking lot with young couples in their prom attire going in/out. So it was a busy evening. However, this location was in no way prepared for a crowd. We happened to be seated between 2 separate parties who had been there for over 2 hours who were each served cold food. They had each waited and waited and waited, then when they got their food it was cold. One table was served the same food 3 times.... cold each time. It was crazy. We had to use the on-table kiosk to get a served to come so we could just get drinks. After witnessing the craziness all around us and seeing for ourselves how slow the service was and fearing that our food would also be cold, we called for our server and explained that we were leaving. She had brought drinks so we asked if she could just get us a check for those. She did. The manager sent her out their to tell us that our wait would not be as long as those other peoples. The manager did come himself. The manager didn't offer to comp the drinks either. We paid the better part of $9 for drinks that we didn't drink.. when she brought the ticket, knowing we were leaving, she didn't bring to go cups. Very poor management. People were exiting the building telling people in the parking lot to not even go inside. Oh, and by the way, this was at like 5:00 in the evening on a Saturday... not even the busiest "rush hour" on a Saturday night. This is why smaller towns can't keep good restaurants. :-( read more

Food was good and the waitress was ok. One person in our party didn't get food until everyone else was finished eating. One person ran out of water and it wasn't refilled until we asked for it. Other drinks were refilled when needed. We had 2 seperate checks and debit cards. One was right total but had other persons card attached. The other total was almost double what it should have been. When we asked to see a manager to get it corrected,no one ever showed up. After 15 minutes of waiting we finally had to go inside to the bar and speak to manager. She voided both tickets and rerang them. She did discount for the meal that was so late,but it was such a hassle. Seems like after reading some of the other bad reviews,that the entire staff needs to be retrained on customer service. read more

Okay just a few things-the enchiladas I had were very good. The service was very good. However you guys need to wipe off your menus so they're not sticky, that leaves a bad impression that you're not keeping things clean. Make sure customers have silverware before their food is brought out. THIS LOCATIONS HAS THE WORST MANAGEMENT / SERVICE EVER! They took 21 minutes to fix my 7 minute or it's free lunch!!! The waiter stated it would be FREE! But, when I asked if I could leave him a tip with my debit card, brought me a ticket for my meal! I asked him why. He stated because I substituted, they did not have to honor the 7 minutes or it's free. I informed him I did NOT substitute ANYTHING! He went back inside and did not come back out. It has been a few weeks since I ate here, but I remember the service and food. The environment was nice, but wait staff is almost none in existence. They had around 15 wait staff on duty, but my 1st one was too busy in the back eating and completely ignored me. I received my drink (sweet tea) 30 minutes later, 10 minutes after I requested to be moved. At this time, my waiter noticed I was departing his area and came following. The food was barely edible, but I insisted on attempting to revive my stop by ordering dessert. I ordered cheesecake with "homemade" strawberry purée. Before ordering, I asked the staff about the ingredients in the purée, and I was informed they haven't the slightest clue, but knew it had strawberries in it. When it arrived, I tasted the purée first, and it tasted as if it had alcohol in it. I once again asked my waitresses to let me know what's in the purée or find out from cooks/"chef". Upon one of their arrivals, they informed me the "chef" did not know, but he knew it had strawberries in it. I then asked the most important question: "how is the purée homemade if even the kitchen staff don't know!" My waitress went and got the manager, before he arrived, he must have checked for himself about the "fresh homemade" purée. He arrives to inform me, the bag of frozen purée says strawberries in water. I asked if they add anything, he said no, they de-thaw the bag and serve it. I then told him, "just because u melt a bag of frozen strawberries doesn't make it homemade" then I informed him to take the dessert and remove it from my bill, as I had only tasted the purée and didn't trust they're competence in knowing what they serve/prepare. This place is beautifully placed, but lacks the ability to properly function as a viable business to dine at...drive by it and enjoy the scenery, if you stop, it'll ruin the beautiful scenery that surrounds it! read more
