We were seated really fast and the waitstaff was extremely friendly and efficient! This restaurant has a nice, bright, colorful and inviting atmosphere! It's a fairly big restaurant with many tables and booths. Their menu is very detailed with a variety of food options to satisfy most tastes. They also a good drink menu. Prices are reasonable. Complimentary nacho chips and salsa were provided while we were deciding what to eat. The Chimichanga lunch meal I ordered was very good. I ordered it with steak. Refried beans and rice were included with a side of guacamole, sour cream and lettuce! The food was excellent. Ingredients were fresh, food was hot and tasty, and the waitstaff ensured drinks were refilled in a timely manner. I highly recommend! There were quite a few people already there for lunch when we arrived, and I imagine this restaurant can get full. However, they can accommodate several people and perhaps even a small party. I highly recommend! Great food, friendly servers, and festive atmosphere!

Dining by the lake was the perfect setting, and our waitress, Yessi, elevated it even further. Her professionalism, warm personality, and attention to detail set a standard that's hard to match. I highly recommend requesting Yessi when you arrive -- she will take outstanding care of you. She is a true asset to the restaurant and absolutely deserves recognition for the exceptional service she provides.

The parking lot was hopping Sunday for lunch, which is often how we pick our Mexican restaurants on…read moreroad trips. The food was meh at best. I wish I took pictures of the taquitos as they were almost hollow and seriously overfried and borderline impossible to eat. My companion never complains about food, I would have sent it back. My cheese relino had no cheese in it and ground beef on top then smothered in cheese dip. The combo came with a taco which was fine, but a hard taco is difficult to screw up so I can't give too much credit there. Service as also meh as the same person/manager was seating new customers, checking out tabs at the front, and doing to go orders, which created lines of people at the front door where the register was located. Our server may have new, but was a very polite fish outta water, and it took 25 mins to get food. He did check 3 times while we waited for food to ask if 'you guys are still ok', so I guess there was that. There were plenty of mexican restaurants in the area, I will not try this one again on our next pass through the area.

The Taco salad isn't round. It's like a jumbo taco shell. The peppers and all were cooked perfectly. The chips are fresh. The cheese smooth and creamy. You can't go wrong here with the regular, fajitas, or street tacos. They actually grill the tortillas, so they are wonderful, warm, and don't break on you! You can customize your taco toppings here with no problems and the upcharges for add-on's are reasonable and make you feel like an appreciated customer. Most places in Gadsden have started upcharging any modification at a rate that makes me feel bullied, but not this place! They act like they really want you to enjoy your food, which is how it should be! I had never been in this restaurant until about 2 months ago when I tried to eat at C&J's next door (I love their food, but their service leaves a lot to be desired) and they would not seat me at 4:00 pm (I get that they must not have had staff, and it is a weird time to eat, but I was hungry so going to a restaurant expecting food didn't seem unreasonable) and they said they could not seat me for 30-45 minutes. I asked my companions if they wanted to try "the place next door" as we were all starving, and they said sure. We walked in and were blown away by how beautiful this restaurant is! From the outside it looks scary and not so nice (which is why I had never been here) but the interior is stunning! Huge picture windows line the entire back of the building, showcasing tons of natural light and beautiful views of the river. The interior has a bright and warm feel that is so comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were happy to see us and instantly sat us a a large comfortable booth with a beautiful view and had chips and salsa in front of us in 1 minute flat. Our food didn't take 10 minutes to arrive after that, and everyone loved their meal. The chips and salsa here are great; the salsa is the best in town, the chips could be a little thinner, but it's not like I'm going somewhere else for better chips. The rice, beans, side salad, guac, are all exactly what you expect. Every entree I've tried here has been great, but I keep going back to all the incredible taco choices! The only thing I avoid here is the cheese dip, which seems a little runny and lacking in cheese flavor, which is not a problem (for me) as they load my tacos up with fresh delicious grated-to-order cheese. I can't believe I've been missing out on this place for all the years I've lived here! I'm not making that mistake anymore - I think I've been here twice a week since discovering it - it is just that good!
