This is perhaps the most bland Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. Everything desperately needed salt, pepper and basic seasoning. In a basically empty restaurant, it took over 30 minutes to get my carnitas en chili verde and combo plate with taco, rice, and beans. The carnitas looked pretty rough. The tomatillo sauce was watery and the pork was shredded far too finely. The rice was so painfully bland I couldn't eat it. The guacamole was very bland and had no hint of lime, cilantro, tomato, salt or other typical ingredients. It seemed to be nothing more than avocado purée. The bright spot of the meal were the corn tortillas served with my carnitas, They were fresh and very good. The beans were also good. Am I picky about Mexican food? Yes. I grew up in a family with a Mexican restaurant and it's my comfort food that I know very well. Los Arcos simply missed the mark. read more

Best guacamole I've had in a local restaurant in ages... Creamy, chunky and smooth. 2 medium Top Shelf margaritas made me question about my half mile drive home (the waiter in broken English questioned me also...) Food was better than the last few times i have been here... A+ this time. read more

Ordered appetizer, dinner, and two alcoholic beverages. Received our dinner, then appetizer, and never drinks. We were finished waiting for our drinks. Apparently they were waiting on glasses they ran to Wal Mart to purchase. We said forget about the drinks as we were finished with our meals. Most restaurants make a huge profit off of their bar. This is your basic Mexican restaurant. Clean food, good service, reasonable prices. It is not a five star meal nor is it authentic Mexican food. Do not go there looking for that. It's a good "I need an enchilada" kind of place. It is a dry city, so no beer. That's a downside. read more

I've eaten here a couple of times and the food and service have been good so far. It's typical Americanized Mexican fare done well at a decent price. I had the fajitas, which are pretty hard to screw up, and they were as good as any I've had. Service was competent without bugging you to death...the server stopped when I needed a beer and would otherwise make himself available without interrupting the meal. This is something I particularly appreciate. Price and service definitely push this to four stars while the simple fare keeps it from hitting five. read more

This is probably one of our family's favorite places to eat. The flaming Cheese, steak and chicken or fiesta is Delicious. Their chips and Salsa is out of this world. I love the cheese sauce also. My boys love the nachos and cheese. Their rice and beans are always so hot and fresh. Love it !! Also they just lately got a new building, and it is So nice . Stopped in to get a taco salad after a LONG day of work.....ask for extra cheese and was charged $2 for the extra cheese. When I got home and looked at the salad.....LOL what a joke! I ordered the same exact meal in Albertville two nights ago and paid almost $18. Tonight I ordered for myself and my daughter, duplicate order and the same as I had in Albertville and paid $23? So you are telling me an additional salad is only $6? Inconsistent pricing, service and quality of food. I am not a big eater but the portions of these salads is like what you would get from a kids menu. If I am paying that much for a salad I expect to get what I pay for. I wont be returning to this location and I expect the management to get in touch with me to make this right.......you have a reputation of a good place to eat in Boaz but this food tonight......guys come on!
