The parking lot was hopping Sunday for lunch, which is often how we pick our Mexican restaurants on road trips. The food was meh at best. I wish I took pictures of the taquitos as they were almost hollow and seriously overfried and borderline impossible to eat. My companion never complains about food, I would have sent it back. My cheese relino had no cheese in it and ground beef on top then smothered in cheese dip. The combo came with a taco which was fine, but a hard taco is difficult to screw up so I can't give too much credit there. Service as also meh as the same person/manager was seating new customers, checking out tabs at the front, and doing to go orders, which created lines of people at the front door where the register was located. Our server may have new, but was a very polite fish outta water, and it took 25 mins to get food. He did check 3 times while we waited for food to ask if 'you guys are still ok', so I guess there was that. Ill start by saying our server was great, however the food was not. This is the most bland mexican food I have ever had. If I wanted unseasoned meat I would have gone down the road to cracker barrel. I'm just going to lay this picture of our Quesadilla right here and let it speak for itself. Our waiter did not speak good English so could not take my order correctly, therefore, brought the wrong thing. Which was a beef and bean tostada. Among other things, he could not understand to add beans to the beef tostada no matter how many times I tried to explain it. We were almost done with our meal before I got my margarita. We gave him a 20% tip regardless of the meal because we felt like the guy was really trying plus he had a sweet spirit about him. The food was absolutely awful. read more

I hesitated for a week on posting mostly because I couldn't stomach thinking of it and it's a popular place in the area. That being said I am going to keep it short I had a flaming cheese and my husband had loaded nachos. Everything was good food was warm and had great service but we took one to go box with us and as soon as we got home I put it in the microwave and we started eating it. As we got to the bottom I noticed something with a familiar and odd shape so I picked it up and it was a ROACH smushed flat but a full grown ROACH laying in the food I had ate twice!!! I was nauseous for 3 days and couldn't stop thinking about it. It happened to me it definitely will happen to someone else. read more

Second time in a row I got food from albertville los arcos to go. I literally live less than a mile from them. Got home was Luke warm. No way this food was temped. Hope no one gets sick. This is my definite favorite Mexican restaurant in both Marshall and DeKalb counties. Their lunch specials are phenomenal!

Los Arcos is usually my go-to for Mexican food - mostly because it's closest to home and the food is usually good AND I can call ahead and just pick my order up on the way home from work. There have been a couple of times when they've been off their game, but the food is great 95% of the time. The wait staff is sweet, but you will need some patience with a few as English is their second language, and they're doing their best. They have the BEST salsa, and the prices are reasonable, so it's a nice, reliable dinner option for us! read more

My wife and I stopped by the Madison Alabama location on our way home from work. If possible I would give this location a -5 review. I ordered steak fajita nachos and wife ordered their # 13 combo. We couldn't even eat the food due the large quantity of flies flying around and landing in wife's food. We called waiter over to complain about the fly problem and told them we couldn't even eat the food because flies all over it. Instead of offering at minimum a partial refund they just said sorry after I told them they needed some kind of flying insect catchers in the restaurant to keep it from being so disgusting. Their idea of fly control is to send out lady to clean tables and kills flies with same clothe she was using to wipe the tables. Health department needs to pay them a visit and shut them down. It was our first and last visit to this restaurant. read more

We visited on a Monday evening and were seated quickly even though there was a big group of at least 10 that walked in directly before us. Service was good and food came pretty swift. I like the salsa a bit chunkier and the cheese dip a little thicker but no complaints on taste. My plate looked and taste delicious except my chicken was cooked too long. I don't mind it being as thin as it was but it was cooked a bit long making it a little hard. My boyfriend had no complaints from his side of the table. read more

I'm Florida raised and just moved from San Antonio so I know Mexican food...this place is excellent. So far it's the only restaurant in town we've gone to more than once. It's authentic (unlike Rosie's) and tasty. The people are nice and the service is quick. And for the record, minced salsa and not-deveined shrimp is par for the course for authenticity. read more

If I could give less stars I would! this was terrible! The shrimp chimichanga looked good, but one cut in and the shrimp was NOT deveined, full of poo! The salsa was basically just puréed tomatoes and minimal flavor. The margarita was all mix and no good stuff. Not worth $8. The sprite was drinkable though.Will never return..ever! read more
