I have mostly taken food to go. The time that it takes to food to go is usually accurate from the server. The price of a chicken and steak fajita is about 13.95 with rice and beans is an extra 99 cents. The food was sorted for easier transportation. However, the quantities for rice and beans was small due to the small packaging containers. The half rack of ribs was about $14.95. The quantity was small. It didn't fulfill the appetite of my roommate. The price out the door was about $30 out the door. The taste was delicious. The quantity was limited, but not enough for the price. read more

My family usually gets together about once a week and visit the Chili's nearest to whatever activity we did that day. Today it was Chili's, Fontana on Summit Ave. Today we consisted of 4 adults and 3 children. Upon arrival, we were informed of no more than six at a table, due to COVID-19 regulations, so my wife and I sat at a different table from the rest of our family, unfortunate but we must comply with the rules like everyone else, ( or so we thought ). Upon leaving we notice a family of 8, ( 6 adults and 2 children ) all siting together. When I asked the manager how this situation could be, all she could say was thank you for bringing this to my attention. Well as a manager aren't you supposed to pay ATTENTION !? It was not my intention to break up the seating arrangements of the other family,but it was my intention to point out how they are not treating everyone the same. Very disappointing. My wife and I decided to place an order via the mobile app ahead of time before shopping next door at Stater Bros. We set a pickup time of 2:45PM. We arrived and indicated our arrival time around 2:40, and waited until 3:15 to finally receive our food. You would think that waiting an extra half hour would mean we might at least receive fresh food... this was NOT the case. We got home about 3 minutes later (we live right down the street) and immediately opened up our meal to find luke-warm chicken crispers, cold and solid Texas fries with orange burnt cheese that we needed a knife to even try to cut through. The team at Chili's didn't even have the decency to stick our food under a heat lamp after nuking it in a microwave some undetermined time before we received it. My family & I come here quite often since it's so close to our house. The bacon ranch quesadillas & margarita grilled chicken are my favorite. I love the presidente margaritas also! Was muey bueno! My husband and I had the 2 for $20 deal and both came away stuffed. The ribs were yummy and the veggies were delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, although I must say it was fairly early and not especially busy during our visit. MSG, MSG, MSG...I ate here a couple of months ago and got really sick with the symptoms of MSG poisoning but I blamed it on something else. Went back last night and got sick again with the Same exact symptoms. After not being able to sleep well and tossing and turning all night I realized it may be because they overload there food with MSG which they claim they do not or some combination of ingredients that they use that caused me to have such a negative reaction to their food. Omg!! How many bad experiences can someone have at the same place!! Well, being the only sit down restaurant in the area, decided to give it another chance!!strike out again!! We waited 50 minutes for our food, our pasta came out cold. We complained, the manager Tom put it in the microwave and brought it out as though they remade it!!ugh, does he think we are stupid and wouldn't notice?! Kids chicken dippers were hard and dry like jerky!! My original chicken crispers came out as crispy!! They brought it back and it took another 20 minutes!! Came in on Martin Luther King's holiday. Waited for about 20 minutes. Okay no problem there. The problem came when we were seated. We waited an additional 10 minutes and had been passed up a few times. A table of four were seated after us, and a server came to them immediately. I'm not one to call for a manager, but I had to in this case. The manager, Namsah (hope I spelled her name correctly ) addressed the issue with great service, and an even greater apology. She gave us tableside homemade guacamole on the house, and she even prepared it!! She had Melissa, our server, come and take care of us afterwards. She was very attentive, kind, and also apologetic. We've been to this Chili's plenty times before, but this is probably the one time that their service was below their normal Stellar standards. Every time we come here it's just bad. It takes more than 1 incident for me to give a negative review but this is it. 3 times we came here; the first 2 times the service was awful. One time they forgot we even got seated and the server kept forgetting everything. Next time the girl was so rude, but the food was pretty good. This last time the service was great but my lunch fajitas took 45 minutes to come out when the place was half empty. My coworkers and I went for a birthday lunch and the wait was horrible. My coworker called ahead of time to place a to-go order but they told her it was a hassle to split the checks and it was better for us to come in. We went, I ordered my food to-go because I didn't want to risk getting back to work late. Sure enough, we were there waiting for an hour to get our food. When we finally received our food, my coworkers had to tell them to take it back and put it in to-go boxes because we were running short on time. That took a long time in itself, keep in mind I had previously ordered my food to-go before that, so where was my food that entire time?. I ended up clocking in 15min late to work because we were waiting for our food. On top of that, my food was cold! So you guys had my food sitting in the kitchen the whole time? We felt bad for the waitress because it looked like she was the only one serving. The manager didn't come to check in on us or apologize for the long wait. Looking for a place we could go eat a more casual family dinner at that was in the area, we decided on Chili's since it had been a VERY long time since my husband and I had eaten there. We still remembered their Chicken Crispers and Southwestern Egg Rolls. Luckily I had checked Yelp to call for wait times because through Yelp, they provide you with live wait times as well as an option to be added to the wait list with plenty of time to check in to confirm your reservation. Upon entry, we waited a total of 5 minutes though the wait times said between 15-20 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and took our orders right away. We ordered the Triple Dipper, the Bottomless Chips-Soup-Salad, the $10 Entrée Meal Deal with the Bacon Burger, the Kid's Pepperoni Pizza Meal, and a side of fries. There were a couple of hiccups in our order. We did not receive our appetizers prior to the meal as promised and I also did not receive my chips and salsa which we had to ask for. The food was ok but honestly, for the price, you cant beat it! My husband's bacon burger was GINORMOUS and it came with a side of chili and a drink for $10. I will say that both soups I ordered were very salty. My salad was good. I would give them 2-3 stars but I opted to give them 3.5 for customer service. Upon discovering that they did not give us our appetizers or chips and salsa, they acted quickly and even comped us our appetizers. We had three people, including the manager come up to us to apologize for the mistake. Though the food was just OK, convenience and customer service means a lot to me. We have had issues with the food but never service and he has been our server the last 5 times we have gone. Yes we are a gluten for punishment for going back but we do value great service. Decided to stop in and get a quick bite to eat on a cold Monday evening, and chose Chili's as our destination. Place wasn't very busy, ( good thing ) and was seated in the back of Restaurant near kitchen entrance/exit. While waiting to be served I witnessed a server preparing a bowl of soup for a patron and adding condiments ( shredded cheese ) with his hands. After watching him do this a couple of times and then serve my soup the same way, I asked for a Manager. Was told by the Manager in charge Monday 12/05/16 that California laws had changed and that Restaurants were not required to wear gloves!! Shocking to me and I don't know anyone who would knowingly accept the practice of touching your food with bare hands if given the Choice.
