Hubby and I were out for a ride initially for breakfast. Since it is around bike week, close to home eateries were packed with bikers. We we hit the ride on a food adventure. Ended up at the Chili's in Deland. We didn't have to wait before being seated, the staff were friendly and cordial. The menu was really colorful and illustrated so many tasty options. Our server, Shelley, was very nice, attentive, and helpful with taking our orders. The food came out in under 15 minutes, which gave enough time for photos and reminiscing about the automobiles we've own. Everything was so tasty and fresh. So glad we stopped in! There was about 15 minute wait. No big deal busier than I've ever seen them. Once we sat down the waitress kept walking past us. Give me just a moment. I'll be with you in just a moment. 10 minutes later she finally stopped at our table to ask for our drink order, by this time we were ready to order. This appears to be a newer Chili's. We decided to eat at a high top table in the bar. I'm a big fan of Chili's and found this location to be very typical. There were no menus on our table, but no problem, I took 2 from a nearby vacant table. The server was 4-5 minutes until stoping by, but after the initial delay, she was on-point keeping drinks refilled snd checking in with us. I had the quesadilla explosion salad and it was even better than I remembered. We didn't have the little table device, but she brought it when she dropped off the check and we paid via the device and was on our way. The bathroom was clean and the music was great. read more

This was my 1st visit to a Chili's in a while. I certainly won't wait so long for my next visit. The overall appearance of the restaurant was spotless. The service was excellent even on a busy Saturday night. And the food was wonderful. They have a special called 3 For Me: it includes your drink, a starter and an entree. For my starter I opted for the loaded baked potato soup (excellent choice). I highly recommend visiting. There's probably something on the menu that would appeal to almost everyone. read more

We used to enjoy Chili's they had quite a few good choices of lighter dishes, they also had 241 happy hour every day. We went tonight, less than impressed, won't be back, I got a 6oz sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes, the loaded mashed had a few hard bits of bacon and a couple pieces of green onion. No cheese, dry. My husband got 2 meat bbq and the bill was over $70! I can eat a lot better for the same and some places a little less. Last visit for us. Sad. read more

The server was awesome and the meal arrived quickly and hot. The problem was that the hostess refused to sit customers at vacant tables, so consequently there was a 20 min. + wait to be seated. If this is Chili's policy they might want to rethink it. If we could have sat down when we arrived it would have allowed is more time to have drinks, socialize, and throughly read the menu. Decided to come here for a quick dinner before meeting some friends about an hour away so we didn't have much time to begin with but I really wanted Chilis... we walked in and noticed there was no one at the bar and a man came over to us, flustered, and said someone would be over to help us shortly. Fine. We looked around, there was open tables and spots in the parking lot were open so there shouldn't have been an issue. A younger kid walked over, also flustered and stated that he was wasn't sure what was going on so he'd be right back. My fiance and I looked at each other and that's when we could tell it was not gonna be a good experience. That same kid comes back and says that it'll be a 10-15 minute wait because the "kitchen is backed up"???? I'm a little confused because there's tons of open tables, open seats at the bar, and no one waiting. What if it was dinner rush??? What if I just walked in and sat at the open seats at the bar????Not to mention that there was no one besides us waiting for a seat. I went to Chili's, my friend and I used to there at least weekly, usually on a Saturday, early evening, when they used to be very busy...the last two times that I went in there, the service wasn't great, we stood by the door, with half of the restaurant being empty, for a few minutes...then we asked for a booth, and when the lady took us to the booth, the table was still all dirty, she didn't see it supposedly, until I asked for some napkins, so I could wipe it down myself, with my own hand sanitizer, just to be safe! We ordered our drinks...then our food, which came sub-par and room temperature, we all had burgers...I ordered avocado slices on the side, which never came! We got our food, just before another table, that had come in after we ordered...burgers and a chicken patty sandwich, don't take too long to cook! The waitress was spread thin, and it was on a Tuesday night...I could have gotten a better burger at Hardee's! I was shocked! Also, their menu has been shrunk down quite a bit! I used to enjoy their salads, more than a chicken patty or burger, but they didn't have the same types of salads...nothing really looked "exclusive" to Chilis, any more! First time ordering from this restaurant. It was disappointing. I used the app from the parking lot and I chose to go inside and pick up. I waited until the food should have been ready and walked inside. I received no help at all. The greeter told me you pick up food over there and pointed to the left. I went to the left and no food. I was then told by another waitress that I can't pick up inside it has to be curbside only. No other restaurants I've ordered have any problem picking up if the app allows inside pickup. I went outside and had to wait another 20 minutes for everyone else to get their orders. The girl working outside was going to take my order until I told her I was picking up. I also let her know they wouldn't let me pick it up inside. She said that is wrong and I could pick up inside. She then went and got my food for me. I live right around the block and of course because I had to wait an extra 20 minutes my food was cold. It also didn't taste that great. The only reason I left 1 star was just to write this review. My husband and I went on Friday 8/23/24 for my birthday. First, we stood there for about 5 minutes only to be told we could sit anywhere in the bar section which I did not want but had to. The place was empty, and while we were going to our table, one of the staff was cleaning the floors right next to our table, and loudly dropping the chairs where we could barely hear ourselves speak or hear the waitress who was taking our order. The waitress spoke to us like we were 2 years old, we were seniors but not deaf or dumb. We ordered an appetizer which came to us cold, and not 5 minutes later, she brought out our burger platters barely giving us a chance to relax. Then, my burger after 2 bites tasted like a burnt piece of garbage, which I just left there. Not once did that waitress come over to ask if we wanted refills on our sodas, and never even asked us how everything was. The manager should insist on their help to wear clean sneakers and clean clothes, and maybe pretend to give a hoot about their customers. We had been there last year and it was pretty good, what a disappointment, and I might add that even though I took 2 bites of that awful burger, I was sick to my stomach the entire rest of the evening. I love chilis but this particular location is hit or miss. Its better to go during lunch than dinner. The queso dip was cold and the chips overly salty. Our waitress was horrible and did not pay attention to our order. I got the wrong order and was overcharged. When I brought this to her attention she just argued about it and nothing was fixed. Every other time I've been here has been great. Service, food and atmosphere has always been good. Tonight was the worst service I've ever had at any restaurant ever. Our server came by our table after about 5 minutes. He quickly told us he'd be right with us an apologized for the wait, no worries at all. He never spoke to us again. After about ten more minutes and him walking past us 6 times, we asked another server if we could get some water since we haven't been helped. She stared at us for a few seconds then proceeded to turn away and literally walk away without a word. We sat there confused for about 5 more minutes. We took my wife's parents here for an early Saturday lunch. We had to sit in the bar area because there was no table service available, which was fine. But when the waitress came out to our table, she was very dirty. She looked like she had been working in the kitchen all day. Really pissed off about my order! I love chili's, but I ordered to go curbside followed all instructions and texted "here" when I showed up. I showed up 3 minutes before schedule, no worries. I waited for 10 minutes watching other people coming and going getting their food. So I call and, the girl says they'll get with me when they can. I continue to watch people come and go, about 7 minutes later a girl comes out and asks me if I've been checked in, I say yes and tell her I've texted and called. SHE GOES RIGHT INSIDE AND GRABS MY FOOD AND BRINGS IT TO ME!!! My freaking food had just been SITTING THERE while I was waiting... for 20 freakingggg minutes! Shrimp look like they were old. Fajita steak was chewy and vegetables undercooked. Manager did a table visit and was unfriendly and unprofessional. After arriving an employee leaving came to my vehicle and said "they are bagging up your order now" It was 25 minutes later I had to go in to get my food! My husband and I decided to go out to dinner last night and figured Chilis would be a nice change of pace. It was fairly crowded and although there were a number of employees on the floor, only one hostess was cleaning / clearing off tables for new incoming guests. I've worked as a server before and I know the frustration of being the only one left to do the grunt work, so having to wait for our table to be cleaned off was no big deal. Drink orders were taken and brought out and everything seemed to be going smoothly... Then we ordered our dinner. I got the steak fajitas ('jacked up') and my husband got the cajun chicken pasta. We got the queso appetizer to share. The appetizer was fine, but it took almost 45 minutes to get our meals and the only thing that made mine edible was the 'jacked up' stuff (queso blanco and pico sauce). The steak strips were stringy and tasted charred. Not charred like the edge of flavor that good BBQ has, but charred as in "Did someone burn my steak and drop it in grill ashes and not brush it off before serving it to me?". It's a shame, really, because I have enjoyed Chilis in the past. It seems like they've put a lot of effort into revamping their look and upping their menu prices but they forgot to upgrade (or at least maintain) their service while they were at it. It's become one of the dirties restaurants around everytime we go in there is trash in the parking lot and trash on the flores. Our tables look like they have never been cleaned or wiped and a bunch of times i have had to ask for new silverware! The service of the waitresses and managers is the worst in any chilis i have gone too and i have eaten at like 10 different ones. No greeting, no smiles, really look like they hate their jobs, just the most downtrouting looking people i have ever seen. Its to the point that even though it is in our home town we go a town over to go to a different Chilis....it's just embarrassing! The food has of coarse gone way but but now if you want salad dressings or a side of sauce to eat with something or dip something in it will cost you $1-6! the portion size has shrunk, and some of the prices have just become outrageous. Over all even the lighting in the restaurant is terrible as if they cant afford to put in new light bulbs in the lights. Also maybe even have ac that works...this is FL.....you need ac to not be broken every other visit. Basically go to any other chilis but this one or any other place if you can help it! We just came here and sat at a bar booth. The female blonde bartender watched us walk in and made eye contact with us. We sat at the table well over five minutes while the bartender was chatting with an older gentleman at the bar. Then she turned back, made eye contact again, and KEPT TALKING. She finally slowly started walking from behind the bar...and went to the kitchen! So we went to the host and said we'd like a table since no one was helping us at the bar booth. He sat us in the restaurant where we proceeded to wait another 4 minutes before we decided to just leave. We passed him on the way out and he seemed like he couldn't care less that we were leaving or upset. I guess this is what happens when you are pretty much guaranteed customers--service goes out the door. This never would have happened at the Palatka location! The server spilled a whole cup of ranch sauce on the table and wouldn't help clean it up, just asked if we wanted more napkins. Then took her sweet time getting them, as I was trying to keep it from running onto the floor AND MYSELF! THEN seemed offended when I asked her take the mound of ranch napkins. ALL of our food came out cold. The qeuso had clearly been sitting a long time because not only was is cold, but had already developed a skin on top when it was placed on the table. One of us ordered coffee and we were told they were out of coffee, but it was still charged on our bill (which we did have them remove). The atmosphere is good for family, friends and also a late night hangout at the bar. All of the food was amazing except the Cajun chicken pasta. The Cajun chicken pasta was a little dry not much sauce. Also for those that are scared to try it for fear that it will be spicy, it is not spicy. The staff was wonderful and very attentive but not overly attentive. It was a bit Busy but we got right in. One thing I liked seeing was the manager walking around on the floor talking to customers and helping the staff. read more
