Tijuana Flats is a fast casual restaurant that offers a relatively Americanized version of Mexican food in a nice enough ambiance and has friendly and professional service. Tijuana Flats is basically a homegrown restaurant chain. It started here in the Orlando, Florida area (Winter Park to be exact) back in 1995. It has since grown to over one hundred and twenty-five locations in I believe four states. My go-to at Tijuana Flats is either a burrito or a bowl and no trip to Tijuana Flats would be complete without a trip to their hot sauce bar. Again, Tijuana Flats is nothing even remotely close to authentic Mexican food. However, it is tasty and the place has a fun interior and it was an overall positive dining experience. I would definitely recommend this particular Tijuana Flats location. read more

I wanted to have Street Tacos and decided on Tijuana Flats. They're my favorite! My husband tried them and really enjoyed them.

Everything has fallen from grace the food taste quality and "Freshness" if its not broken don't "fix it" its really sad used to be one of my families favorite places. Who in upper management chased little josh out best manager beat customer service cares about his customers and treated everyone awesome. He used to make rounds of the restaurant and check on customers. Im sad he is gone whoever chased him out sucks...he was there at the first Tiajuana flats. I ate there on 06/18/2023 and suffered from symptoms of food poisoning. My friend ate there on 06/22/2023 and suffered from the same symptoms of food poisoning. I have since reported the experience to the Florida Department of Health and STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATION. I was advised from a source with the Health Department that more than 30 people have filed similar complaints with State of Florida for similar experiences the week I got sick. read more

Man, I hadn't been to Tijuana flats in at least a good ten years. For whatever reason in those days I didn't like them but I found them to be solid small commercial Mexi-Cali-delicious. Super customer service on the day. Pretty good taco Tuesday special. I went in for that and a few other things I don't even remember. 30 bucks for lunch. I remember the menu being ticky-tacky and you got to order this sauce and that sauce and chips are extra or at least that's what I thought. Salsa's, you'll have to pay for them. I come here somewhat frequently, as this is the closest TFs to home. I have never had a bad experience here. I've had a few occasions where the order wasn't entirely accurate, but they have always made it right if things were amiss. Blackened chicken flautas are my go to item. I ordered them to go last night and they were awesome. Happy to see the 2/$20 deal was moved to Saturday instead of Monday. That is what brought me in last night. Listen, it's been a while since I've left a bad review but since I'm here and Yelp is asking...here you go: Terrible food. They aren't the worst but they are certainly nowhere near good. Not even ok. This is the kind of food you make for yourself when you're dog tired after a long week of overtime and you really need something "technically" considered food to put in your body before you pass out to sleep the entire weekend in one go before you return to work on Monday to repeat another long week of overtime. This is that struggling college student food. You know: tasteless, no aroma... it's just easy to make and convenient. The girls are nice, a bit young but no shade ladies... start your working careers early to know where you don't want to work... but seriously? This worst part of this entire situation is the money they charge for this terribly unseasoned, flavorless and order less food. I ordered the chicken tacos and one burrito...I think it was a crunchy chicken specialty burrito. Just bad all around. How do you do tacos and burritos bad??? The food was very good! We started with some chimichangas with steak and a chicken quesadilla. We also had some chips with cheese, salsa and guacamole. The salsa is some of the best salsa I've had. Sangrias were also good! We finished with some sweet cookie dough bites. The staff was extremely professional and nice! This is good! We will be back. There were 3 of us in our group today. This was the first visit for all three of us (all adults). We ordered the Atom appetizer and it was very good. I will order that again for sure. A few reviews raved about the queso so I ordered a large for the 3 of us to share since all three meals come with chips. Meh. Very meh. Wish we hadn't. The blacken chicken quesadillas are good. The steak chimichanga was very delicious. Bangin' chicken burrito was very good. Lots of sauces to pick from. All were very tasty. *6/27: Received a call from the Matt the owner of this location. He said he read my review and sincerely apologized for how the incident was handled. He said the next time we come in he'd like to make it up to us and give us something for free, which was very nice of him. As you can see from the multiple tips I've left and the amount of times I frequent this location (when I remember to check in) I've done nothing but advocate for Tijuana Flats. My family and I choose this location because it's the closest to our home, but that'll be changing. Our last visit I showed the cashier my military ID, but as we went to sit down I noticed she didn't take the discount off. No big deal as the manager on duty was able to adjust my tab and told me I would see a credit back on my card within the next few days depending on my bank. Well a week went by and no credit so I decided to call in. I spoke to a different manager, Micah. He was unable to locate my ticket so I told him I would call him back after I called my bank to get the exact time the purchase went through. He also said he would speak to his GM. I called back a few hours later and was put on hold while the female on the phone went to get Micah. Then she came back on and said he had left for the night. No manager left on duty. Suspicious, but, ok. I called back and spoke to Micah a couple days later and he still hadn't spoke to his GM, but I did have the exact date and time the transaction went through from my bank. He still wasn't able to bring it up. He told me his GM would be working today (6/13/17) and he would get back to me. Well here's why I'm not holding my breath. I found my receipt with the credit and called him back because after we hung up I worked it out with my bank and we were able to see a pending credit. I was trying to call him to tell him when I was told that he was on the other line and would call me back in fifteen minutes. Surprise. Just like before when he "wasn't there" he never called me back. I understand you may have more important things to take care of than a dollar something credit, but if your employees were trained correctly to enter the credit in the first place you wouldn't have to deal with this issue. The employee who took our order seemed confused when I showed her my military ID, which is why I was tipped off to look at my receipt in the first place. While you were very polite over the phone, not reaching out to fix the issue is a problem. Ignoring the issue doesn't make it go away. read more

The team here is amazing. We have eaten here probably hundreds of times over the years and they are always amazing. Have they ever made a mistake? Yes, but those things happen and they they are gracious and quick about fixing it. We have been to the sanford and Oviedo locations and they have been not so great. Horrific experience. The manager had a horrible attitude and was unwilling to assist with my order that was stolen by a dasher. When the food arrived over an hour late it was half cooked, the cheese wasn't melted, the chips were stale. It was horrible. I spent $70 dollars here on dinner. Will not be ordering from this buisness again. It is too expensive for such poor service. read more

Had the brilliant idea of going and quickly grabbing this to go on Cinco De Mayo during the quarantine. It said online it would be ready in 30 minutes. I got there and there had to be 50 ppl inside and out, waiting in cars, on the sidewalks.. I had to get back to work so I ended up asking for a manager to just cancel my order and get my money back. The manager was so nice. He got my drinks and said he would bring my food out to my car in less than 5 minutes. When he brought it out, he told me when things calmed down he would refund me. I told him not to worry about it, but I see he did it anyways. Point is, they were incredibly busy, service and management was awesome, and the food was exactly right and tasted great. My wife and I decided to try TF this past Saturday @ 2pm. They had a special on 2 / $20 which sounded good. The appetizer was a ton of chips and the salsa was good but too much cilanto so I went back and got queso for my wife. The burritos were gigantic and we could have shared one + a ton more of chips we couldn't eat. We both agreed that burritos though large had no flavor or taste. The employees were upset that I didn't tip them because they are a fast food place and we took ours to go. And you could definitely tell they were upset. I've been to other restaurants in this chain and they were so much better. My advice is to go the one in Orange City. You will like it's food & employees so much better. read more

When I last picked up an order from them in June 2022 the food was horrible. Burritos. Dry. They omitted sour cream when i requested extra sour cream. For the second time they no longer have verde sauce. I won't be going back .. because this wasn't the first time the food was bad. I love Tijuana Flats and this is my favorite location, we have enjoyed tacos here many times. My favorites on their menu are the beef tacos and the enchiladas. Their sauce selection is great, and I think their chips are too. The entire staff here is always super friendly, and one of the managers (Jasuha) always remembers us and thanks us for coming back. I will add that we only visit this location at night (for dinner), hopefully they don't have gremlins running the place during the day (but I doubt that they do :) Tijuana Flats is always the first place I think about when i'm hungry for fast tacos that taste great. They have an email club, so if ya want some free food just sign up online. read more
