This location is the worst example of what chili's really is. I have gone to the conyers location for years, including when it was off the access road near hooters. That location is absolutely great. But this covington location is the worst example you could ask for a company... I have given them many chances: both dine in and dine out. When I ate in the dining room, it was a matter of waiting excruciatingly long periods of time for refills, apps, and meals.. where I draw the line though, is every single order I've ever placed was incorrectly presented to me... a couple examples are the lack of salsa for my online order of chips and SALSAAA! another time I ordered a chicken avocado club. By far the most awful fajitas I've ever tried to eat. Went there on a Sunday afternoon. They were not busy. The steak and carnitas were inedible. Dry, burnt, and flavorless. Shrimp was covered in so much cilantro, that was all I tasted. Waiter would not even stop when asking how was the meal. He would ask, then immediately walk away. Will not be going back to any Chili's. There's a reason why Anthony Bourdain hated this restaurant as well as others like Applebee's. I've been here several times in the past year or so and it's just nothing to write home about. Lack of service, not the friendliest of staff, and the food just gets no better. Usually come here with coworkers during the lunch hour. It's a clean spot with good food. It's pretty much your average chili's. Their customer service is pretty good at this location - maybe because I'm always in work uniform with my coworkers, maybe not and that's how they usually are. I went with my mom to try out the new Chili's restaurant in Covington. We were seated very fast. Our waitress was prompt and very friendly. We placed our order and it was out in well under 10 minutes. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with applewood smoked bacon, sliced tomato, lettuce, swiss cheese & honey-mustard. I asked for no bacon, no tomato and it came out just like I wanted it. The chicken was very juicy and the melted cheese was so good. I actually want another one now that I'm writing this review. :-) It also came with a basket of fries. My mom ordered the Bottomless Tostada Chips with salsa. The chips are very good. They're thin and crispy and the salsa was just right, not too spicy. Our food was great and the service was great. Our only complaint about the whole experience was how loud the restaurant is. We went at 11:45 am so just before lunch. It wasn't crowded and there were a lot of empty tables. However the way the inside ceiling was built, the noise from tv's and music, and people taking over the tv's and music made it so loud that my mom and I couldn't hear each other talking. We don't have hearing issues. It was just that loud. We told the hostess about it when she walked by and checked on us. She said that the number one complaint they have received from everyone is how loud the restaurant is. She said she hopes that they fix it soon. Other than that everything was wonderful. read more

We went tonight and more than half the tables were empty, yet our wait was going to be 30+ minutes. No one told us high tops were first come first serve, then they continued sitting people there that came in After us. This particular Chili's appeared to be a little smaller than other Chili's I've been to. Don't let that deter you. We went on 4th of July. Parking lot was full, but, we were still seated straight away. Order taken w/in 5 mins. Food rec'd w/in 7-10 mins. Ordered Chicken Crispers & the Mix& Max Fajita Trio. Also had Skillet Queso & Chips. Everything was absolutely delicious. Seasoned just right. Chips were very light & not overly salted. Great presentation of each dish. Portions pretty generous. Enough to bring left-overs hm. Steven was a great server. Had a smile on his face the entire time. Very knowledgeable about the menu. I enjoyed seeing diverse servers. All showed good teamwork. Bathrooms clean. Went to chillis. Omg. After waiting at door 5 min or more. She takes us to dirty table wipes it all on the floor after climbing all over booth with nasty shoes then says ok u can sit. Girl didnt even wipe seats or sweep floor. Covid and u didnt clean the seats! Then the wait for food. Ridiculous. Then kalebs mini burgers burnt. Didnt notice that till we got home. Oh amd the flys were all over ambers food. So her food had to be remade. Smh. Then our server disappeared and we had a new server. We had a hostess who snarked a comment at my daughter when my daughter gave out her name to be seated and said "I know who you are," in a rude tone. She wore a bun in her hair and had glasses. She did not seat our party in 20 minutes as she said. 4-5 parties that got to the resturant after us were seated before us. My family and I came to eat on Saturday 6/13/2020. Our server was Brittany and she did an awesome job and was busy the entire time we were there. However, while we were waiting on our dessert we over heard her manager chastising her. I felt that he should have waited until they were alone. My husband & I ate lunch at Chili's in Covington today. It was good. I got the fresco salad and chicken fresco tacos. It also came with fries. The tacos were a little spicy & I was not expecting that, but they were good. My husband got the ribs & fries with a cup of potato soup. He said his ribs were good. I tried his potato soup & it was good. It tasted like it had nacho cheese in it. Service was decent. It was Friday lunch and it was some what crowded. I went to Chili's in Covington earlier in the week and we had an excellent experience! I'm so glad we finally have another great restaurant in the area that is also kid friendly. Our server, Rory took excellent care of our family (7 of us). We were seated quickly and he took our drink order right away. Due to my dietary needs I have a "different" order... he made sure that my order came out PERFECT as well as eveyone else's order. The manager, I forgot his name, visited our table and others to ensure we were enjoying our dinner! The children in our group enjoyed playing games on the table tablet things too! My family and I love going to Chilis! Whenever they are given the option of picking anywhere to eat they always pick this restaurant! The food is always amazing and comes out in a timely manner. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful starting with the hostess when you walk in the door. The lettuce on my salad was brown and looked like left over lettuce from a bag that had been sitting in the fridge for a week. I got NO salad dressing, NO ranch dressing for the fries and my coke zero ended up being a regular coke. The fries looked like a 1/2 of a 1/2 order. WILL NOT DO THIS AGAIN! Why go to the trouble and expense of building a restaurant if you aren't going to service the customers who try to eat there? No greeting at the door. No one to even take your name for a table. Half the the tables are empty so "too busy" can't be the excuse. Serving staff try not to even look at you for fear you might ask for service. The table at our right just left after a long wait for someone to even take their order. The table to our left raised hell and got free desserts for their complaints. I picked this Chili's because I could walk from my hotel. i'm glad i didn't get in the car to go anywhere else. The teamwork displayed made sure my drink order, food order and take out order were taken care of and delivered quickly and correctly. Kudos to Allie, Jo Jo, Andrea, Pete and their manger Elle. Being National Tequila day, i had to have a margarita. Allie let me know the scoop on the various options and based on my sneers at some of the others steered me to the traditional - rocks, salt. That's me, a traditional kind of guy. Now i want to know what their secret is to get perfect salt on the rim, i'm never able to get that at home. The Caribbean salad with shrimp was great, lots of shrimp perfectly cooked and just the right amount of dressing. A second margarita while i waited for a take out order of ribs topped it all off. It was actually difficult to put the ribs in the fridge as they smelled so good, but they need to keep for later. The service is awful, clearly there is too much ones plate and others are just welllll. I understand that it's new and things need to be worked out but prior to opening all that is involved as this is a production process.
