This is a typical Chili's, so you should know what to expect! I was pleasantly surprised to find some new items on the menu. Their food is pretty consistent, so trying something new is never a huge risk. The location, however, is supurb. After a long trek through the nearby Tennessee Aquarium, this was the perfect spot to take a break and fill up on some good, reasonably priced food. My only issue was the table being a little sticky on my side, but that can happen anywhere, so take my critique with a grain of salt. Definitely don't be afraid to drop by. read more

I have visited this location twice and both times the service was terrible, food was not fresh and/or never made it to the table. Trying to give the establishment the benefit of the doubt, I ordered a to go order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I show up to the location 30 minutes later, waited 15 minutes for anyone to even offer to assist me then had to remind them 15 minutes later that she was still waiting on my to go order. I stood and watched the kitchen put their bare hands on food and continue to ignore my order. When I finally got my food there was no apologies, no thank you, nothing. Once home, I realized I was missing 2 side items, and my food was cold. This place should be shut down. The service is terrible and the kitchen is unsanitary. read more

I took my mom to the one on Gunbarrel Rd in Chattanooga, Tn. this Easter and it was the worst experience we have ever had! Not only were the Nachos burnt, not once, but twice. They had barely any meat or cheese on them. Of course, I asked for Mgr at this point, and Jeff was his name. He was the most hateful, unprofessional, manager me or my mother have ever dealt with, and we have both been in the restaurant business for over 25 years! He kept arguing with us, being rude, basically calling us liars. We were not being rude to him or the server, at all, and even offered to still pay for it, and he was still hateful! We normally can let certain stuff go, but this guy, Jeff, should not be a Manager, if he cannot handle complaints or customers, more professionally or with a better attitude than this! We came in to the worst hostess in history. We had a party of 9, 7 adults & 2 kids. Hostess had us wait 10 minutes, which is not problem except they were virtually empty. Server was terrific but hostess had left us upset. Not to mention hostess sat us in hottest part of Resturant before we asked to be moved. Enchiladas were dry and kitchen was unwilling to make special enchiladas saying they were already pre-rolled it was 4pm slow inside and not like its a fast food restaurant where cant be made.... if all items are in house anyways whats an extra 5mins to prep something different. read more

My grandmother and I wanted a nice place for us to eat while the rest of the family was at a baseball game. So we went to Chillies. It was ok at first! We asked for a glass of water with no ice for my grandmother and some chocolate milk for me. We got out drinks and chips. They had put ice in her drink. After she asked again for no ice, the waiter brought another glass with no ice. After we ordered, OH MY GOD, did it take so long! We waited around 30 - 40 minutes for our food. My grandmother has dairy allergies and had specifically said to the waiter that she didn't want any cheese on her tacos. (The waiter was very kind to us but seemed inexperienced.) 30 minutes later, he brings our food, and there is cheese on hers. So now, I have my food but my grandmother doesn't because the chef couldn't read that she wanted NO CHEESE. We had to wait for another 20 minutes. My grandmother also asked for the sauces to be on the side, but NOPE, they still put it straight on. After this, we decided to just pay the bill, get some to-go boxes, and go to our hotel. The first few times I came here wasn't bad, but today I went and it was horrible service. First off there was no hostess to bring us to our seats. Then when we finally got our seats we had 2 different waiters. We asked for a kids menu and the lady forgot about it so we asked the second waiter. Finally one of them took our order 30 minutes later, oh and let me remind you the place was NOT crowded at all. The food came at a decent time and everything was good until I bit in to my chicken and it wasn't done! It was chewy! They did make more but still I had already lost my appetite. We order through Dinner Delivered and they can't inspect everything. When you give explicit instructions not to include meat for a vegetarian they failed 5 of 7 times. That is 5 of 7 times someone could not eat something. Feelings aside of vegetarians/vegans, think if 5 of 7 times your food was not correct. VERY disappointing. The chips and salsa are great but vary from order to order GREATLY. Sometimes you will get cups as you ordered, other times you get a side even though you pay full price. When most of the time Chili's Downtown has missed the mark for a family member, to make their dinner enjoyable, AND not include salsa... it's an all around loser. Eat here in the restaurant ONLY or you will most likely be disappointed and talking to the manager from a delivery customer, you must be ready with something missing and/or wrong. read more

This is an A-OK chain restaurant in Downtown Chattanooga very close to the Aquarium and Children's Museum. We have eaten here twice now on visits to the city and have found the food good and exactly what we expect from Chili's. My Grandmothers Burger was a bit salty but I think that was from the Bacon on it. My burger was perfect. Service was a bit slow today due to the lunch rush but we enjoyed out time to talk. The people of Chattanooga are fantastic and were glad we stopped on our way back home. Plenty of flat screen TVs to watch Football! Who-Dat....Three Adults and 2 children meal was 34.50 not including the tip. Everyone was cool about our Wheel-Chaired family member. read more

I had taken a Friend while out between lunch and dinner time. She'd never been to Chili's before¿?. Our "Service" from the front door to leaving was Great. Was Already thinking, good things will be better than before. My first visit to the downtown Chattanooga​ location. I have tried several from the Hixson location and out of town. Sadly, same results. Thought we might try the 2 for $20 or whatever else we may want. Wasn't sure what was being offered on the menu thinking since my last visits. Our server was very good, helpful, prompt and had great attitude. Knowing our questional concerns, she had suggested the Chicken Quesaillia's (spelling¿). Told us a big portion and huge seller everyone liked. Took her suggestion with side salad each. Despite of knowing what I'm going to get here and quality. Plus, if this is one of the "best Chili's have to offer", I knew nothing had changed. My friend not knowing, and I ordered the same. I was Not Impressed at all with this choice, sadly again. Very Small amount of chicken, only a few (3/4 plain strips). Tortilla was a burrito size approx. 10 inch? Two flour tortillas grilled with cheddar cheese. Both of plates majority of pieces (pre-cut) didn't have any chicken, the more we checked the less we found. Becoming more than impressed. Should have requested to kindly reorder something else due to non satisfactory reasons. Even she wanted to let our server know, to get what we'd ordered at best. Should be listed as "Cheese Quesodelia(¿)" There was maybe 2-3 oz's of chicken on a 10 inch flour tortillas, definitely not sufficient for the title of the dish & at 2 for $20. What a waste of money. This was a disappointment for both. The presentation was sufficient, portions were not. Side Salad only having a hand full of lettuce, very skimpy additions for $3.25. Dressing was good. This was more a children's menu. On the middle of the main plate was a 1/8 sized scoop (tablespoon) or small dollop of sour cream and pico de gallio, only enough to fit the description. I had requested more pico to give this bland dish a little bit of flavor. We should have stopped there with the salad maybe an appetizer. I've been to Chili's enough times to know it's not a place to for eating out. More like a "Cheers" kind of place. It had been quite a while since visiting, for these main reason. Thought by now it would be a better place to go for dinner, I was wrong. I'm not sure after years ordering an array of different dishes, what is a good choice. With my experiences and expectations, don't order an entree. I'm giving Extra Three stars for our service only. Would have liked to have given a h,igher rating, just wasn't worthy enough. If you are downtown looking for "chain restaurant food" this is a great bet. Consistently good fresh food and very attentive and regular wait staff. (This is important because in a chain restaurant especially, because if you are going through employees at a rapid pace you probably have problems in the kitchen as well). That being said ask for Heather, she's great. I would go over the menu, but... it's Chili's chances are you know the menu. I have to brag on the serve. My girlfriend and I ordered a salad & chose to split it as neither of us were very hungry but want a bite of something light. They brought it out on two separate plate in seconds! Happy to accommodate, without our having to ask. If you're going to be a success as a chain restaurant in a city that has such a great thriving local fare. Disappointment abounds with the food here. The service was good, but the food was terrible. My date and I ordered chicken dishes and they broil their chicken and then put char marks on it. It was rubbery, slimy, and gross. It was inedible. When we asked the manager if it was actually real chicken we were assured it was and he did offer to bring us something else, but our appetites were dead and we declined. We left two fully uneaten entrees on the table, paid our forty dollar tab and left. What a waste. If you must eat here, steer clear of the chicken. read more

I am a long time lover of chili's. Until I tried this one on market st. Chattanooga. Every time I go I am disappointed. I mean cajun chicken pasta how do you mess that up? Do not go to this Chile's if you are in this area. They do not care about the customers at all. We came in after a travel ball tournament with our team at 2:00 pm in the afternoon. The boys were absolutely tired, hungry and thirsty. Even though we gave them a 30 minute notice, our tables were not ready when we got to the restaurant. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to set up the tables even though the restaurant was basically empty. After we waited to be seated, they took over two hours just to get our food to the tables. As we patiently waited on our food, they refused to fill up our drinks and basically completely ignored us the whole time. They were more focused on cleaning the mirrors in the restaurant than taking care of the customers. Not to mention we were some of the only customers in the restaurant. The only thing they were fast at doing is giving out the tickets to people which were given to some of the people before their food had even arrived. read more

My boyfriend and I are new to Chattanooga, and have been attempting to try out a new local restaurant each week in order to acquaint ourself with the city. We're both in the hospitality industry, so I would definitely say we're a little bit picky, but after trying a new place and being ignored for a good twenty minutes or so at the bar, we started looking at our other options. As almost a joke, when we drove past Chili's, we said we should eat there. It quickly became a very real decision. I can't even remember the last time I've been to a corporate-style chain restaurant. I personally was blown away. We were immediately greeted upon sitting at the bar, our drink order was taken promptly, as well as our food order. Everything came out very timely, the food was fantastic, and the bartender, Shannon was extremely hospitable and attentive. She even had to deal with an issue with a guest and did so without me even realizing a problem had arisen. It literally turned our upsetting date night completely around. It's refreshing to walk into a restaurant, feel incredibly welcomed and have a bartender that's doing an amazing job behind the stick. Thanks for saving our Sunday. read more

OTT in this case stands for over the top because I have always had quick and courteous service at chili's. This is honestly the only place that I have not had to request more water or extra napkins.
