Service was ok but slow and the food was good but I ended up with a sour stomach after. My friend's meal was made incorrectly 5 times and they gave her a hard time to comp the meal after we waited so long and she ended up eating and incorrectly cooked steak. I will give them two stars because the "manager" ended up comping the meal but it was definitely a less than ideal experience and reminded me why I hadn't gone there since 2014. Chili's used to be one of our favorite restaurants to choose. Last night, we tried it again. We were seated quickly and our waiter and server were very efficient. I doubt we'd return though. Our iced teas were warm and were served without any ice. My chicken enchilada soup contained fatty pieces of overcooked mushy dark meat. The chicken in my fajitas tasted processed and the texture was not the texture of fresh grilled chicken. I wonder if it is brined beyond any recognition. The peppers and onions were mushy, dull looking, and overcooked. This is not the Chili's I remember. There were only three other tables occupied. I went in here Sunday October 2nd with my wife and kid. Immediately I knew something was off when half the seats were empty and the host was slouched over and talking on his cell phone. We requested a table in the corner and were refused because that area was "closed" and we were forced to take a seat by the bar (I have a 5 month old and didn't want her to be around the screaming guys). The server came over and took our order. He came back again and asked one more time to repeat our order (he didn't write it down). About 20 minutes later our drinks came out and we cancelled our order al together, paid the bill and walked out. This place seems to be run by teenagers and is so disorganized I wonder how they remain in business at all. This was my 3rd and final time here. I love Chilis in general but the management and most of the staff here need to be replaced. Before someone says they have a "staffing shortage" we went across the parking lot to another chain restaurant and were immediately sat and taken care of, had great food and a wonderful time. The two stars is only because every server I've ever had other than this woman that is somehow still working there has been good and so has my food. In order to explain how much of a problem what they did was I'll need to explain a previous issue I had. About a year ago me and my fiancé went to chilis for our anniversary. He was still out of work at the time so he saved up what he could in gift cards in order to treat me and take me out. For background knowledge I have heart problems and I tend to go into afib very quickly especially when something messes with my anxiety. Anyways we payed for our food but we couldn't use the gift cards to tip and we didn't have any money. The server then came up to our table, she was a taller woman in her 30-40s with a long black ponytail and thick framed black glasses. She pointed out to us that we didn't tip her, my fiancé trying to just get out of the situation explained to her why "I don't have a job, you guys didn't hire me, and all I could pay with was gift cards" which bless his heart he should've never had to say to her. After that she realized a manager knew him because he had said he applied to work there. She proceeded to chase us out of the store asking which manager we knew. My heart was going to 160-170 when we got in the car almost went to the hospital over it. So I called the manager (strangely the manager at Whitehall not this location, he was filling in I think.) and explained to him what just happened and he offered me coupons which I never received and said this was unacceptable. The next time we come in she isn't our server but today we came in for the second time after that event and I told the girl at the front right off the bat that I saw the woman working and she can't serve us at all. ( I didn't want to be rude but I don't need another heart issue) everything went great until that woman brought us our food. If you guys want to do better I'd recommend firing her as no other fast food place would keep someone on who said that stuff about their tip or who chased a customer out of the store. read more

The Food i felt was good and in the area of quantity fine i took some home not alot but some. The service was fine no problems there also they have a nice selection so it wasn't hard to find something on it i liked.Parking was ok no problems there. Now the reasons i drop to a 3 star is bad drinks they tasted not flat but bad weird any way thats it is what we were left with no ill get a can or bottle from the back nope thats it bad or none so we had water ok if the later would have happened an alternative i would drop one but 1.5 for the thats it attitude the other was Ambiance What struck me was we say to the mater D 2 people she looks around (there was so many empty tables)and said let me see 15 minutes oh i may have something???...odd anyway i was cold brrrr shut off the AC its October ok its also at night northern PA ? and the lighting was blinding not literally but they had bright white office lights and they made you feel even colder one TV near us not on or not working minor as i care less about Football. So for MINOR stuff i gave you a 3 get on your game make adjustments the basics of food service were fine so make the adjustments and a 4 could easily be theres. To go 5 you need a better atmosphere seating it has a Burger King feel to it so major renovation would totally fix Ambiance to perfect so a 5 or even over a 4 for this place is probably never going to happen. read more

My wife and I had a few hours alone while my mom watched our kids. It was a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. My wife wanted a margarita and fajitas. As soon as we walked through the door the hostess greeted us with a friendly hello. We asked if we could sit at the bar. Best decision ever. Our bartender, Jennifer was amazing. She was so kind, funny and extremely helpful. My wife couldn't decide what margarita she wanted. Jennifer's knowledge on drinks helped my wife pick a great margarita. Jennifer was busy but never once did she not make sure my wife and I were satisfied. Our drinks were always full. Jennifer has a great personality. She made us feel so welcomed. She made sure she maintained a clean work area and made sure our empty plates weren't crowding us. The bar was clean. The music was great. Perfect ambiance for a quick date. We will be back to see Jennifer again! read more

TLDR: extremely understaffed and expect extreme wait times. (2+ hrs for a meal at minimum) We understand when a place is understaffed. But the waitress was put out to work without training. Our sons meal arrived before we could order our meal (we had stood up and waved for help but none of the staff wanted to handle the area). When our meal arrived we asked for napkins, a refill on our drink and a-1 for the steak. We again had to flag staff down after some people finished their meal before we could get these items. We asked for some boxes to take home what we couldn't eat. And after about 20min asked if we could have boxes and possibly the check. We got the boxes. Probably the most miserable rude useless staff you can get. Went there with my wife. Place was empty except for two booths that had loud people inconsiderately blasting their iPhones. So what does the host do, sit us in between the two booths. We asked if we could be moved to the bar area. The server moved us and then got into an argument with another server behind the bar who apparently did not like our move. After waiting and waiting no one came so we simply walked out and went next door to LongHorns. I always liked Chilies but it seem like all of them have changed from their heyday 10 years ago. The food is always great and the waitress tend to be friendly, but unfortunately there are those that tend to sound rude or unprofessional. But because of the lack of staff, the service has been slow for the last few times I've visited. It took an hour and a half for my food to arrive and the waitress was obviously apologetic and worried I would be mad but I know she isn't to blame so I left her a nice tip. On vacation, and me and my family decided to come to Chilis. The waiter Faith greeted us with great customer service. the salsa chips where good for what it was. i personally got the BBQ burger and it was delicious. i'd recommend it if you have an empty stomach. everyone else liked there dishes and my father LOVES the cheesecake. he said best cheesecake. the lighting in the store is good with a lot of windows. overall fantastic place. i wish them nothing but the best. thank you chilis!! read more

We were trying to find somewhere nice to eat early on a Saturday night but that quickly became a challenge. Our first stop was Red Robin, but they had a 25 minute wait and we decided to make the short drive over here. Chili's also had a 25 minute wait...that ended up being less than 5 minutes. Service was fast considering we had four people in a full restaurant. Our table had several different items: The Grilled Chicken & Seared Shrimp Mix & Match Fajitas were perfect but could have used one more Tortilla. The Half Rack of Ribs was enjoyable. The order of Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas was ok but dry. The Berry mixed liquor drink was huge with good flavor. The warm Cookie with Ice Cream our table shared at the end was delicious. First of all I feel like Chili's (specifically the one in Bartonsville) need some recognition right now they have been carrying us on their back from the beginning of this pandemic. When no other food places was open Chilis was open! There was a point in time where Chili's was making 40% of the areas takeout orders. 40%! I didn't expect much after all this is fancy fast food. We arrived in time for the Monday lunch special but opted instead to go with regular entrees as we were very hungry. While we were waiting for our food my friend decided to play with the tablet at the table and accidentally loaded the game. When we realized that they charge for a free game we asked them to reverse the $1.99 since it wasn't like anyone played it. The waitress said sure no problem but it still appeared on the bill at the end. For appetizers we had the combo plate... they brought it out but gave us something we didn't order and didn't realize it until it came to our table at which point she took the platter back took it off and left only two items with the third to be brought at a later time aka when we were done eating the appetizers. The third item was loaded potato skins which turned out to only be 3 when there was clearly 4 of us at the table. They were gross and dry looks like something I could have made in my toaster oven. I have the sizzling skillet to make you own tacos the shrimp was surprisingly good and the beef and chicken were meh. The sides like guac and pico and what not were gross and looked all wrong. The frickles were gross do yourself a favor and ask for a pickle and skip the calories in the batter which has no flavor. My friend ordered the steak and it was cold. They offered to replace it only for her to receive her food after we were all done eating. For dessert the brownie skillet was ordered. My friend was not warned it was extremely hot and burned his hand. The server offered ice which was at first refused but then later needed at which point I had to hunt her down and it took another 10min after that. They comped nothing.. overall this was worse than a diner. read more

Chili's, chain food, comfortable menus and reliable middle of the road quality for the hungry and willpowerless traveler. Big shout out to the staff here. My group of 12, half teenagers, showed up on a Sunday afternoon, hoping there wouldn't be a line for a table. It was close to 2 pm, so we hoped the place would be able to seat our group together and not still be hopping from lunch rush. Thankfully, it took just a few minutes to set up a big table for us, get us seated, and those delicious, bottomless drinks on the table. Hooray! Food followed soon after, with plenty of chips and cheese and salsa and salt for a football team. Everyone was served rather quickly, mistakes were corrected immediately, and as teens are wont to do, food disappeared instantaneously. Our servers were absolutely phenomenal, grabbing orders, keeping everything in line, grabbing refills before we asked, clearing, and giving everyone big friendly smiles. In addition, I know serving a bunch of hangry teens can be daunting, but these servers were full of grace. Thank you so much! Food and prices are standard Chili's quality. On a Monday evening around 7 pm i called and I told the hostess we have a group of 14 would we need a reservation and she says we don't take reservations or call ahead seating just come. We arrive and the place was 20% occupied and no hostess or bartender. We wait for the 1 minutes and the hostess shows up and says we have an hour and a half wait plus we close the kitchen in an hour. Get the logic. Then she says we are short staffed and can't seat anyone. This after she told me on the phone to come on in. I ask for the manager who was nowhere to be found and when I ask for the franchisee's details she tells me that she had no idea who that was and if I have complaints call Chili's headquarters. As we leave to the parking lot a woman comes running out and says here is the card for the GM and says she is the manager and starts to suggest other places like Taco Bell. Really. We visit this Chili's about once a month, and have always had great food, and friendly efficient service, and tonight was no exception. Jenny took care of us. She was helpful, efficient, and very friendly. She checked back with us often and made sure we had everything we needed. She's a great example why we keep coming back! We first waited thirty minutes for our waitress to even come and ask us what we'd like. When we ordered our drinks, it took an hour for it to get here! After he came back again after another twenty minutes, my mother asked for a refill and it came another forty minutes later! Don't even get me started on how long it took to get the food here! Over an hour and a half! It was my step-brothers birthday, and after all of this we just took the desert to go. I forgot to mention that when my mother got her drink, he came back and said "Sorry I filled it up but just left it there." It even took another thirty minutes for our other two drinks! I don't frequent Chili's so I was surprised today when our server said I can't order a burger medium-well. It's either "pink" or "no pink", she said. Our server said pink is medium-rare and no pink is well done. I don't like a really bloody burger (medium rare) and I don't like beef cooked dry (well done). So I usually order burgers medium well; I decided to go with "no pink" and hope for the best. Well...it was...well done. I didn't send it back because I got what I ordered - a very well done dry burger. I ate it, meh. I've been to restaurants that ONLY cook burgers medium-well. This is a first for me to have to decide between medium-rare and well done. Odd business decision but I'm sure some MBA at their corporate office with a spreadsheet decided this would reduce waste so whatever. It might also reduce customers so good luck with that. Being from out of the area I can tell you dining choices in this area are few and far between. We visited this Chili's on a Friday night around 8:30pm or so. We did not call ahead but wanted to get take out. Good thing too, because there wasn't a parking space to be found here. I think everyone in this entire town was at Chili's that night. Thankfully we were able to use the to-go parking because if not we would have left. Several other vehicles were making multiple circles around the restaurant waiting for someone to leave. For a Chili's. I don't get the mentality but....again this town really doesn't have much to offer. Inside the to go area was completely deserted. I had to yell back to the kitchen to get someones attention. Than they had to get someone from the bar to find a menu. Not the most organized bunch. The waiting area was dirty, as were the counters behind. Our order did seem to take a long time but considering how busy they were it was to be expected. I inquired about the 10% discount offered because of our hotel stay, only to be rung out without it. However she did get a manager even after I told her not to and he did insist on adjusting the bill. One thing I appreciated was that the cashier opened each box and went over our orders before bagging them up. Good thing too because they were missing some sauces. We had to ask for utensils as our hotel didn't supply any. Had we not asked we would not have gotten any because they were not offered and they had to locate some. Our meals were typical Chili's - nothing to brag about. The fried pickles appetizer were really good but also really small and the breading was coming off. It was the only item worth mentioning. PLEASE! Do NOT eat here! My husband and I both had food poisoning from the ground beef. He had a burger and I had 2 sliders out of an order of 4. Luckily we have 2 bathrooms since we were both attacked by explosive diarrhea at the same time 4 hours later, followed by vomiting throughout the night. I've never had nastier, greasier food, nor gotten so sick from a restaurant. This place should be closed down. How is the food being stored anyway: at room temperature and sitting on the floor? It's seriously a real health hazard and is a total embarrassment to both the restaurant chain and the Poconos. I only give it 1star with a protest since I can't post (WARN) without a star.
