Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon with the Hubby for a lunch date. We where greeted and seated right away when we walked in. Place was clean and lively, not to crowded, Tv's playing all sorts of programs (sports, news, music). It was a comfortable atmosphere, and we for sure felt welcomed and taken care of the entire visit. We ordered a couple margaritas and the bar tender came over with his little shaker and made the drinks in front of us! which we thought was cool and the guy had lots of positive energy! My husband ordered the Southern Smokehouse Burger w/fries and I got the Lunch Combo Chicken Fajita's (which included a side of soup or salad,.. I opted for a cup of chili, which ended up being 1$ extra) Food came out 15 mins later and my fajitas where sizzling! Hubby's burger was piled high and looked fabulous! Only complaints where My hubby made a comment that his burger (the meat) could have used a little more seasoning but he still very much enjoyed it, the salsa that came with my fajitas tasted like pickles (no joke) like they mixed there pickle juice in with there salsa? IDK, but it wasn't good. I did not get the guacamole as part of my condiments for my fajitas (as stated in the menu) and I also see now that i should have not been charged an extra $1 for the chili i got on the side (the sides that qualify for the fajitas included the chili!) oh well... And there chili has no beans! lol, they should call it taco meat chili, because thats what it looks like and tastes like, still good though! We ended up ordering 4 margaritas (2 off the happy hour menu and 2 off the regular menu, which all 4 where pretty strong too) & 2 meals for a total of 53$..NICE. Affordable & Delicious! read more

This was my first time coming to Chili's in at least 15 years and it was THE BEST experience I have ever had at an establishment here in Bakersfield! 1. Service: We went Wednesday night and it was a lot more packed than we expected but we didn't wait no more than 10 minutes and was seated right away. The people there were so amazing and so sweet! From the hostess sitting us down to the busboy we passed as we walked out, EVERYONE was so nice and welcoming! Our server even took the time to really talk to us and not just the usual "what can I get you?" It truly felt like the team was a family and trying to make sure their guests or "customers" were being taken care of 2. Food: Now I can't judge too much on the food since we mostly got appetizers but it was delicious! A great place to visit for happy hour or a value dinner date. I love the $25 dinner for two! You get an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert. If that's not enough, you can even add a Cadillac margarita for only $5 each! I always like chilies better than it's competitors because I feel like their food always taste good and has so much flavor. I am a huge fan of their Texas cheese fries. I would also recommend the Cajun Chicken pasta. It's absolutely delicious, I can literally eat every single bite. As far as service I like coming to this location because I feel like The service is always better here. What can I say I love a bang for a buck. They permanently added the 3 for 10$ item to the menu and it's the only thing I like to order lol. It's honestly a great deal for only 10$ Including a drink, appetizer, and entree item. My all time favorite is the chicken Cajun pasta it's super delicious. The potato soup is super good. Make sure to order a strawberry lemonade you won't be disappointed. The chili queso dip was pretty good as well. I was allowed to join the wait list on Yelp but when I arrived the hostess told me they do not not take reservations or Yelp check ins which I found odd as I had just done so. However it was fine I didn't have a wait. I was seated right away. I orders the 3 for deal( something like that) it was a drink, an appetizer and entree. We ordered the triple dipper with Queso, guacamole and salsa and enchilada soup. The soup wasn't that special but the chips and dips were great. The best part of lunch was the Old Timer Burger. The burger tasted as though it was prepared on the griddle. It was cooked just right, the meat had some crispy edges but was not overdone and very juicy. The name serves it well as it is the kind of burger you would get from an old drive in burger place. The 3 for meal was 10.99 thats a pretty good deal for everything you get. I think the triple dipper may have been an extra couple dollars but it was well worth it. Lunch with tip was under 40 dollars and that doesn't happen to often at any restaurant. Ordered tonight 5/30/2020 via DoorDash for the first time. I ordered Chile Mango Chicken with side salad (extra charge) and asparagus (extra charge), mango tea, and used my phone number to link my Chili's account to receive chips and salsa FREE. I did not receive the asparagus (maybe they ran out, it is Saturday after all maybe they were super busy) BUT I thought it was really cool however they included a $5 Chili's gift card with my order!!!!!! How cool is that!! Everything was delicious and I really appreciated their attention to detail and realizing I did not receive my premium side and they more than making up for it with the gift card. I haven't been to the actual restaurant in a long time simply because I rather order in. Last I ordered their 1/2 bbq ribs with mashed potatoes and speragus . It was all really good and reasonably priced. I have spent that much just on drive through burgers. Will be ordering soon again. read more

I had wrote a negative review in the past, but today I was so impressed with the crew working, cooks included, all food was fresh and not over cooked, we are picky eaters, and it all came out perfect. The new chicken critters were the best I've ever had, breading was flavored and not to thick, the white Mac n cheese was excellent tasted like it was home made, margaritas were good, actually had alcohol in them. Unfortunately, I see why Chili's does not get very good reviews. I ordered dinner for my husband. There was an error in the order -involving the inclusion of an item he can't eat due to allergies. They acknowledged they made a mistake, as the allergy was noted on the order. But they refused to take any accountability or responsibility. They would not deliver the right item, refund the cost of the item, send me a coupon...something. The person on the phone literally told me I was screwed. My only option would be to try the delivery company. But I did NOT order through the delivery company, and according to my credit card the money went to Chili's. I had to order food from somewhere else for my husband who was home sick, because he simply could not eat what they sent him without getting sicker. Terrible customer service! Terrible attitude. We arrived at chili's around 8:30pm and got seated within 2-5 minutes after asking for a table for 6 and a baby. When we got to the table we were just given the six seats and not a baby chair, so my brother had to grab one when it should have been brought to us. Our server was a young white male with blond hair and it was split down the middle, when he got to our table he was smirking and trying to hide his laugh while he was asking us if we wanted appetizers and drinks because my niece was a little fussy. I did not appreciate the lack of professionalism. When he took our order we asked for chips and salsa for an appetizer but never received it and was charged double for it when we checked our bill at the end dinner. We also had to ask for a buffalo sauce 3 different times since they kept forgetting it. Overall the services was a zero but I can't leave a zero so it's a 1. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and the overall experience was pretty good! We sat at one of the high tops in the bar area. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time because we were kinda in a rush. The food came out pretty fast even though they didn't have what I originally ordered. We moved away ~3 yrs ago and this was our 1st visit back. The salads we ordered were ok with the exception of the Quesadilla that came with my salad was cold like it had been setting for awhile. The wall next to our table had food on it and looked like something had splattered and not wiped down or at least not that day or the night before. The wife said the womens bathroom was filthy and had some gross sewer like smell. We were the 1st people in at 11:00am when they opened so there is zero excuse for the restroom being in that poor of condition in our view. My favorite restaurant is Chilies. But last Saturday l dropped my rating from 5 to 3. I had a craving for Nachos. Simple enough order. I called in the order by phone because my app didn't want to work. I told the person taking my order that I was five minutes away. I paid for my order and then parked in the curbside spaces. About 10 minutes later a guy came out and asked me what I ordered. I told him and he said he would have it to me soon. About 25 minutes later he came out and told me that again he was going to have it out soon. I was thinking come on, it's nachos. The once again he came out 3 minutes later and asked me what I ordered. I told him beef nachos. I asked him what is taking so long? He said he'd be right out with them. True to his word he came right back out with my order. When I got home and opened the box, I was shocked! The nachos were cold. The cheese congealed and all the chips were limp instead of crisp. The sour cream was melted and runny. The grac was good though. Anyway, I took a bite, but they were to far gone to taste anything. I was so disappointed that a first class restaurant would allow that meal go out the door. I know for sure I won't order those again. read more

Went with my family for a birthday dinner.. They only got half the orders right, the other 4 had to wait another 30min. (We we're already done eating before the other 4 got served) Then they said they lost the ticket and had to start over...... then after all was done. They charged us double! We had to correct them.Then after we paid.. They still came with that bull$&%% saying, " we needed to pay $5 for something that wasn't charged. ..I was so done. That was such a bad experience, especially for a birthday dinner. They need to own up to there mistakes and they at least could of had the decency to bypass the $5 at the end after all that trouble. read more

I was very reluctant to go to Chili's tonight and when we got there, they messed up on our order and our food took over an hour to come out. We came with a group - all decked out in our Middle Class Fancy best - and hit the chain restaurants. One of the best chips and salsas anywhere. We never have bad service there since this place has opened. The bew renovations are nice but it takes away from the restaurant feel. Its like they are trying to make it as if you were eating at home but at a house with little room and too many people. The service is very quick and the keep the drinks coming which is always a key part to great service. Its usually busy but its clean and the food is good. For a chain they have a great version of Tex-Mex and it will always be a go to place for us with the kids. read more
