The service was great, that's not the issue. The issue was last night when about 5 friends and I were enjoying our meal when some staff member recognized a friend of mine. I don't think it's wrong to say hi or anything, but the issue comes when you're forcing my friend to have a whole separate conversation right in front of us. This male staff member passes by, recognizes her, then says "oh don't be a stranger." Then my friend says she's not being a stranger she just didn't recognize him, and instead of it being left there THIS MAN BABY WANTS TO WHINE LOL!!!!! Talking bout some "oh yes you are blah blah I'm right here wah wah." His attitude was very off putting, the least he could've done was offer us a free dessert if he "recognized her" so much. Honestly, what I really didn't like was how forceful he was about the whole conversation, like bro you're in the middle of a shift WHERES YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE VOICE??? Instead he gonna put on his "where my hug at?" voice on. I don't know what kind of guys my friend chats with here and there, but this one forgot that he wasn't at no tinder-rejects convention. Anyways, sorry if this comes off as offensive or aggressive, I was tipsy last night and the last thing I was gonna do is tell a staff member he was being pushy and ruining the vibe for about 30 seconds, and that he was being annoying. All I ask is that these staff members be taught how to foster a welcoming environment, how to maintain their professional presence, and that there are some tables that do not want to engage with outsiders that are not dinning with them. And make sure those preventative sexual harassment courses have been taking and are up to date!!!!!! read more

I'd like to see Call Ahead Seating brought back too. Areas for improvement: The bathroom is usually messy, and the food has been a little inconsistent lately. For example, steaks are often too rare or overcooked when attempting to achieve medium-rare. Went for lunch on a Sunday, didnt have a wait at all. We ordered right away though we were disappointed they didnt have childs meal grilled chicken anymore for my GF child. We ended up having to order her an adult steak that she didnt eat. Food was fine, I wasnt blown away, I had the guiltless 6oz steak, it was perfect amount if food and flavorful. Service was good, with the exception that I had ordered a margarita that wasnt put in, and when we finally inquired about it we were told it wasnt put in so I told them to forget it since my meal was 3/4 done. I just love Chili's restaurant. We got a gift card for Christmas and had not been there for a while so we went. The service was great and our server made us laugh. He seemed like he loved his job. Everything we have ordered was delicious. We especially loved the Fajitas for two. It comes with chicken steak and shrimp and black beans and rice and sour cream. Absolutely terrible experience. We checked in and waited over 15 minutes for our turn, staying nearby the entire time. Then out of nowhere, we received a text saying our name had been removed from the waitlist. The young blonde girl working the tablet at the front never came over to check for us, never called our name, and never gave any warning before removing us from the list. If a restaurant is going to remove guests from the waitlist, the least they can do is make a reasonable effort to find them first. We wasted our time waiting only to be taken off the list without explanation. Very frustrating and disappointing customer service. read more

Chili's for dinner mainly to try the Wicked drinks! Glad we came because we weren't aware the promotion ends at the end of November. The Pink drink was really good. The green one wasn't the favorite of the group but we all appreciated how STRONG they tasted. They did run out of wands which is a bummer because it's what makes the drinks fun and cute! Other drinks we ordered was the flamingo (frozen margarita) and the long island. The flamingo was super super good, definitely would order it again. This includes two sides of rice, black beans, sour cream, pico de gallo and choice of flour of corn tortillas. Of course my husband and I had to select that meal to check out the quality and quantity, and we weren't disappointed at all! Food was on point but could've had it better with pinto beans rather than black beans. The service was quick and easy with no waiting time; this happened because we checked in through the Yelp app to join the restaurants waiting list which made it super convenient. My wife and I are regulars at this Chilis. We visit roughly once a week service here is always great. This particular Chilis is in a more busy part of Bakersfield so on the weekends are during dinner time they do tend to get pretty busy. So you might find yourself waiting 20 or more minutes for a table. But once you are seated service is always very quick. Their food here is always excellent. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are always our go to. My son loves the soups and of course those bottomless chips and salsa. Even though this place gets pretty busy the management and the rest of the team always do a good job of keeping everything clean and in order. They are able to adjust for party sizes of six or more. But for parties that size I would definitely attempt to call ahead, or you're gonna be looking at a pretty good wait time. read more

At first everything was fine server was very attentive and friendly but when it came to the food... my partner and I decided to share the smoke house combo and when it came to our table we immediately saw a facial hair on the meat :( they said they would remake it no problem so we waited and waited for almost 30 to 45 mins to where we had to cancel the order.
