Bone-In Wings

I would not recommend ordering wings to go. The wings were dry (not enough sauce) and we couldn't distinguish between the two flavors. One was supposed to be hot and one was supposed to be mild. The wings were overcooked and dry.

Who doesn't love a little Chili's after a long day shopping. Anytime. I don't have to make dinner is always a good day. Today being especially hot here in Albuquerque. It's nice to call in your order or do it on the app. The app made it super easy to order and pick up. The server that delivered our order was absolutely delightful. Our order was perfect. We throughly enjoyed our meal.

Decent for a chilis. Clean and staff is friendly. Food came out fast and out waiter stayed on top of our drinks.

Bacon avocado chicken breast sandwich.

PROS: - Food had good flavor. Plenty of tasty punch & flavor combos worked well. - Generous portions. Each meal was big enough to make second meal the next day for each of us. - Cheesecake was wonderfully light & fluffy. Very different from much more dense cheesecake usually found. Strawberry sauce for cheesecake had decent flavor, although obviously from a bottle and not made of fresh berries. Nonetheless, the fluffy texture made eating the cheesecake delightful. - Counter staff was courteous and pretty friendly. CONS: - S - L - O - W !!!!! Extremely long wait on called-in to-go order. (details below) - Price struck me as high. $51 for a chicken sandwich meal with fries & salad, a grilled chicken breast on pasta with an ear of corn, 2 soda drinks, and single piece of cheesecake. Not a good value to me, even though the food had good flavor in generous portions. TEDIOUS DETAILS: I called in order & received 20 minute ETA for it to be ready. So I arrived at this Chili's location about 20-25 minutes later. Order was not ready yet. So I waited ... and waited ... and waited ... and waited some more. Counter lady at about the 15 minute mark after I'd arrived said everything was good to go except chicken pasta dish. So I had expectations that wait wouldn't be too much longer since pasta only takes about 10-12 minutes to boil up. I was wrong. After about 25 minutes of waiting I suggested they give me the portion of the order that was already good to go, so I could at least ferry that much of the goodies to the car & come back inside to wait for pasta dish. By about the 35 minute mark they had assembled the supposedly ready food & drink for me & I hauled it out to the car. Another 5 minutes or so wait produced the laggard chicken dish. So total time from placing order to having food in hand was about an hour, not the initial estimate of 20 minutes. Major demerit for poor setting of expectations & customer satisfaction effort. Timing may be better if you dine-in at this Chili's location. But I don't see me repeating on the to-go order side any time soon. Once was enough.

Probably one of my favorite places for a quick bite and happy hour eats. The staff is super friendly and why not go where they remember me by name. Good drinks, great salads. The soups are nice and flavorful.

Food was good. It took a little while but everything was really tasty. The service was unmatched.

Allergy menu on the ziosk
Channon D.

Update: I've since ended up with some pretty major food allergies. Gluten to a smaller degree, major on soy and potato. Chiles not only has an amazing allergen menu and matrix to show you what you can have but they make me feel welcome and not like I'm a burden. It's so nice to be treated like my allergies matter and to have a place that I can eat out still! Every server has been accommodating and checks on the potato even with that not being on the matrix. They'd switched to soy oil for chips for a while and I expressed my sadness to the owner and guess what? They changed it back to veggie oil without soy! Here's a place I can eat, I can feel cared about, and where I don't feel horrible for having to ask about my allergies. You and your employees rock!

Sliders

The sliders looked so good... but they weren't cooked thoroughly. Sad and disappointed.

It was extremely busy and loud. I didn't wait in line to order, but it took them 50 minutes to prepare our salads. The service wasn't very friendly or helpful at first. I'm hoping it was because they were so busy. We had to leave 10 minutes after getting our salads so I had to take most of it home which was disappointing. On a good note, the salads were amazing. They were the best salads I've ever tasted which I why I'm giving three stars instead of less. My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. The seating is open and you order and sit down wherever you can find. The seating is hard on your backside and uncomfortable, especially when waiting for so long. The salads and fresh ingredients are delectable. If I ever return, it will be a to go order that is put in very early. Cheers!

04/13/26 First of…read moreall, don't let the other reviews of a "sketchy" area deter you from visiting Vick's Vittles. The area looks old and poor, but near the restaurant, we didn't see anything sketchy. When we were leaving, we did see some homeless people at the main intersection, but we didn't see anything we'd describe as sketchy. We did notice there is a mobile home park behind the restaurant, but there is a wall between the mobile home park and the restaurant parking lot. Even if there were police surrounding the mobile home park, we'd still venture inside to eat. The food is that good. We shared the cowboy breakfast burrito and the Santa Fe pancakes. Both were filling and ridiculously good. The Santa Fe pancakes made with blue corn, roasted piñons, green chili, and cheddar jack cheese were different than anything else we've ever had. I'll admit I didn't love my first bite or two, but the more I ate, the more I wanted. The pancakes are dry, but if you drizzle some syrup, it's the perfect match. The accompanying eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The cowboy breakfast burrito is massive, filling, and worth every calorie. Even though we were stuffed, we had to get the peach with green chile turnover. We asked if the turnover is served warm and our waitress replied that she could warm it up for is. I'm not sure that it is normally served warm, but I highly recommend it. The turnover flaky, the glaze was silky once warmed up and the peach with green chile was unique and delicious. Five star service and food. I highly recommend Vick's Vittles and hope that I'm in the area again so I can try more of this delicious food.

All new staff that clearly don't understand the restraunt business. Went in today for breakfast, seated in the back. Out of sight, out of mind I guess. Took longer than normal to get waited on. Placed our order, had to correct the waitress several time on our order. Waited quite awhile, long enough to need more coffee. None was coming so had to call out to another waitress to get more. Our waitress did come back to bring the coffee. Before she got there we were discussing the fact that the entire staff was new. She must have overheard us and took it as some kind of slight to her. Two minutes later the manager came over to inform us that we were being rude to her server and that she would be taking over our service. After some discussion my wife said, "this is ridiculous, guess we won't be coming here again" the manager said "well I'll cancel your order and you can leave now". We said we didnt want her to cancel our order and she just said have a nice day. So we left. Sooo not the Vicks Vittles of the past.

When your in town, stop at this place.. It's worth it…read more. We were passing through on the 40 headed to Kansas and we followed the reviews here for lunch.. I will tell you, the burgers here will make you think twice about having another one anywhere else afterwards.. They barbecue them on a santa maria grill with lump charcoal.. Smells so good inside.. The staff kick ass and treat you with respect.. We ordered the rodeo burgers with fries.. While we were waiting we had salsa from the chip and salsa cart.. Was yummy salsa too.. The burgers came out and OMG! They were SO DAMN GOOD!!!! Get a few napkins as your gonna need them.. Burgers buns were soft and sweet and stood up to the well seasoned burger with onion rings and barbecue sauce.. The fries were crisp and good too.. The owner walked around and was engaged with all of his patrons. He came to our table and asked us how our day was and asked how the food was.. I like that, when you have an owner that takes the time to ask someone how they are doing.. That carries a lot of weight with me as it shows they care about their brand and what they stand for.. He even gave us a tour.. That was cool.. Thank You For Everything.. We will be back next time we drive out the 40..

Great servers! Everyone was helpful and kind so front of house manager must be doing their job!…read moreFood was delicious. Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.
