Our second try to eat here. First try, we couldn't get seated because they had no servers and would have a 45 minute wait. Went last night and my husband's order was completely wrong in spite of our server repeating the order. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and it was awful! The only lettuce was a couple of romaine ribs. Tons of carrots, red cabbage, and onions. Also had some weird giant clumps of maybe bacon bits??? don't know but I sure wasn't going to eat it. Won't be Back! Service was bad! Food was terrible! Restaurant was empty except for one table and we were still seated at a dirty table. We had to wait for quite awhile just to be acknowledged. Our waitress did apologize for the long wait but we don't know why. They weren't busy. We ordered the taquito basket it looked ok but we couldn't eat it. Beef had a weird taste, then tried guacamole which tasted sour and queso was not the best. We were not able to eat our food which was a real shame. You would think the sit down restaurant would be better than the food court was but it's not. The line was always long to get something to eat when it was at the food court and now Chile Ristra is empty on a Friday night. I really liked the food I had here. I had a chicken Xmas burrito, a chicken quesadilla, and I tried the fries. They were all good! Everything was clean, the service was good. We have been visiting this place since we moved to ABQ. We had always been satisfied with the food, until they move to a sit down restaurant. We recently ate ther for my mom's birthday. The food and service were terrible. Nachos were supposed to be beef, ended up with chicken. Like other comments they were microwaved with the avocado on it. They were soupy with cheese mixed with water. My friend had the fish and chips , the fish looked and tasted like the store bought frozen fish. Ordered the nacho's was very disappointed everything was sloppy by the time I got to the sport bar didn't realize till open. Went back with my receipt to get exchange for wings. I was ready to walk out because the service was bad from the moment we waited in line. Two girls at counter, no acknowledgement for ten mins. A gentleman finally came sat us. I mentioned he the only one working. He stated they had a laid back atmosphere. Wanted to mention that customers were the reason he had a job. Took us to table. The waitress finally came to table after walking by us for 15 mins. She compensated by being very nice. We each had a red chili fry bread. The chili was amazing. I would definitely stop again. I'm hoping manager will see review and retrain staff to acknowledge customers as soon as they are in line not ignore them. I gave them four stars because the food was great and the server did do a good job when she finally came by. read more

I've seen this place so many times when going to Isleta Resort & Casino. Given the choice between Fatburger and these guys well sad to say Fatburger gets me majority of the time. Seeing as this was the only restaurant open in the casino the choice was easier this time around. COVID 19 has made everything a bit awkward I'm not gonna lie. The days of waiting in line and being face to face with a cashier who takes your order are just about over. Now we are separated with plexiglass and wearing a mask that makes it hard to understand one another. Needless to say Chili Ristra has managed to adapt and are making it work. I had a tough choice between the Quesadilla or the Basket of Taquitos. My two favorite dishes well in Mexico the quesadilla is considered more a snack or appetizer rather than a full meal anyways, I consider it a meal just felt like sharing that interesting fact. Luckily my buddy Randall wanted to get the fries from the taquitos so he went halfsies in them so I was able to get both to try. The Quesadilla had chicken and a very generous amount of cheese. It also came with both sour cream and guacamole. The Taquitos came with 4 Taquitos, fries, salsa, and guacamole. Admittedly I favored the Quesadilla more than the Taquitos. Just mainly because of the flavor and lack of it in the Taquitos. The Taquitos were ok but the meat and seasoning were plain and dull not very exciting. My buddy enjoyed them more than I after he drenched it the guacamole. The fries on the other hand had a much more memorable experience. Overall the place has a great menu and offers great meals for a fair price. I am glad I finally tried it and next time around I'll most likely return to try more of their great food! read more

Change is good. The good for us was the start of our third road trip of 2022 which started in Albuquerque. Our meal here was not memorable. Wife had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with sausage, eggs and Swiss cheese. It was average. I had the eggs, over medium with sausage, hash browns and toast. Eggs and hash browns were undercooked. Toast was burnt and sausage was not good. It was cheap but not cheerful. Would try again if in Albuquerque, but not the egg breakfast. read more

PRO TIP: Avoid the lemon bars. I don't have the energy to write a full review as I have been throwing up over the past hour. My slice tasted ok at first bite but upon finishing, I knew it had gone off. I'm not sure how you screw up a lemon bar but I feel absolutely ill as I write this. I have 0 tolerance for food illness related issues, so I felt the review was extremely necessary! Skip the dessert display and take your business elsewhere. The older white man working the register would handle money, handle people's credit cards and then grab the cake with out washing his hands or changing his black gloves. This place serves large portions at a very cheap price. Drinks are free. I like the green chile cheeseburger and the huge breakfast burritos. I've had the fried bologna with green chile and it was excellent. I've tried the beef quesadillas and they were good! Service is fast and usually friendly. For the prices I expected a lot more. $7.25 for a bacon cheese burger?!?! I would be ok if the quality were better. I am in a casino. But when i get the same quality as burger King or mcdonalds and paying more money that is an issue. Also $.75 for ranch, really! It them doesn't cost that much not with the burger prices. The up side from order to table the service was quick and correct but for the price I should be able to get my bruger cooked to order and mot pay for ranch. So being that this is the only informal dining experience in the casino I am shocked at one how unorganized this place is as well as how costly some menu items are. Granted it's expected that prices be inflated for the venue but $2 to add meat to a breakfast burrito or Fritos pie is asinine. Speaking of which I ordered a frito pie, safe bet for a deli. Or so I thought. I ordered the frito pie which as I know of is standard Fritos, chili con carne, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions. When my cashier asked me red or green I was unsure so I just said Christmas. When I received my menu item I was shocked to see a plate of Fritos, lettuce and tomato with light green sauce drizzled ontop. There was no red chili and no carne. Okay maybe that was what I needed to pay $2 more for? Apparently this places is recouping their cost for expansion on the cafe by over charging and itemizing the menu.
