It was ok, 2/5 not much flavor in the tacos and the meat was weird. Next time I'll go to east Oakland or Taco Bell lmao.

I've been going to the Chile Bravo truck for years. I love both their burritos and tacos! Their meat is well seasoned and the salsa is solid. My personal recommendation is to try the suadero. It's a meat that you don't usually find at trucks and taquerias. The staff are friendly and the food always comes out hot. This truck is popular, so be prepared to have a few orders in front of you.

    Steak and shrimp burrito. $11

Doughboy once said: Either they don't know...don't show...or don't care about what's going on in the hood. And this particular taco truck is located in the "hood", over on 27th and Market. Unfortunately the flavor and quality isn't up to industry standard. Maybe for their sake, it would be a good move for them to come closer to the Lake or East Oakland. I feel for the ladies working this truck. They are constantly being cussed out and spoken to disrespectfully, at least when I'm there. So I can see how the food quality could drop. Kind of like if my wife constantly treated me bad. Would I give my best knowing that it won't be appreciated anyway? That being said the other day I ordered a couple of burritos. I asked for shrimp and steak on both. It took nearly 30 minutes to make those two burritos, and it wasn't even that busy. After we received the burritos, my wife and I ate them, and I must say they just aren't that good. Edible. But not that good. Plus the shrimp was nearly non-existent. But like I said, I think under the right conditions this truck could be comparable to the other great taco trucks in Oakland. But the way people who frequent this taco truck treat these ladies breaks my heart. No one should receive that type of verbal abuse and threats. So if you do decide to try Chile Bravo. Be polite. Treat others how you wish to be treated yourself. And my hope is not only will we all be better people as a result, but so will the tacos and burritos.

Steak and shrimp burrito is smackin!

The best in the west! Everything they have is good but their steak and shrimp burrito is a real crowd pleaser. So do your tastebuds a favor and get one.

My go-to taco truck in West Oakland - think it's noticeably better than nearby Tacos La Perla (which isn't bad). Highly recommend this spot if you live in the area or don't want to make the trek to East Oakland. Regular street tacos (onions & cilantro) are ~$2.50 each but are LOADED with meat. I've tried most of the meat options (asada, al pastor, pollo, cabeza, lengua, suadero), and they are all really flavorful / well-cooked, with the al pastor edging out asada as my personal fave. 3-4 tacos are probably sufficient for the average appetite. There are "deluxe" versions available as well (sour cream, cheese, avocado, etc.). Another plus (esp. as an LA transplant) - they have great CALIFORNIA burritos! Not sure of any other places in the Oakland area with this. The steak and shrimp burrito, on the other hand, was just alright... a little too sour cream and filler-heavy for me. They also take credit card for payment. While I don't think lines are outrageously long (yet), operations can be slow at times. But definitely give Chile Bravo a try - yummy tacos await!

Tostada beans gigante, the pork shoulder, barbacoa, charred broccoli, mushroom, and chicken tinga. Just a lil lime on top, and enjoy! They have outdoor seating both in front and in their back patio, the front being sunnier while the back was cooler and shaded. It does seem like it can get crowded there due to the amount of customers who may choose to eat here instead of takeout, though. The food came out within 5 minutes. They also have a self-service water pitcher, and pitchers of half-and-half and oat milk next to it, which I assume is provided for those who get coffee (I didn't read through the entire drink menu). I got the vegan breakfast burrito, which has pan fried potatoes, roasted peppers and onions, mayocoba beans, chile morita mayonesa, avocado, corn, cilantro in a flour tortilla and it contains soy. It was savory, just a little bit spicy but tolerable for someone who can handle just mild level so I felt it was a good addition for providing more flavor given vegetarian burritos can otherwise often end up very plain. Quite a bit of avocado. I liked the potatoes and beans, and the insides didn't feel too mushy texture-wise. Admittedly not the hugest quantity for a burrito of this price ($15 before tax/tip) but I appreciate that they have several vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. I also ordered the strawberry agua fresca - listed as agua de fresca on the menu and this is the only flavor available, for $6. It was pretty good, fruity and sweet but not overwhelmingly so. I tried some of the chips and salsa morita that a friend shared with me, and thought it was decent - they give a massive quantity of chips (it would be good for sharing with a group) which are crispy and lightly salted, and the salsa is tasty and very mild in spice level.

It's very cute inside and could be the perfect place for a date or even dinner with friends/family. I tried the lunch special, holy tofu basil with yellow curry chicken. Nothing overpowered it and the dish paired well with rice and with a fried egg. The veggie rolls were very crispy and flavorful. The fried chicken spring rolls were also good, but chicken didn't have much of the lemongrass flavor, it tasted like a regular crispy fried chicken. Comparing the duck larb with the chicken, the duck was better. It was refreshing and tender. The chicken was also good, but wasn't much of a standout. I ordered from Todos Cantina via DoorDash after reading about chef Nolberto Martinez and his…read morefamily's culinary reputation in the Bay Area. Given that background, what arrived at my door was honestly shocking. The burrito was cold, greasy, bizarrely thick and lumpy, and filled with some of the lowest-quality meat I've ever been served by a restaurant. Multiple bites literally had to be spit out. On top of that, the advertised ingredients (sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole) were completely missing. What arrived was basically a dense tube of cheap rice and rubbery meat. At first I assumed this must have been a one-off disaster. Then I started reading the Yelp reviews. And suddenly a pattern emerged: stale chips, stale tacos, food making people sick, delivery orders arriving wrong or poorly made, hostile service interactions, customers being spoken to aggressively, and an overall sense that quality control has completely collapsed. One reviewer even described an employee asking if they "wanted to fight." Another described disputing charges over incorrect orders because the food quality was so poor. What makes this especially disappointing is that the restaurant presents itself as a serious modern Bay Area Mexican concept tied to an admired culinary name. Instead, the actual execution feels careless, inconsistent, and deeply below the standards the restaurant markets itself on. Restaurants can survive a bad night. What they cannot survive is the perception that nobody cares anymore. Right now, that is exactly the impression Todos Cantina gives off. Frankly, this is an embarrassment to the legacy and reputation associated with the Martinez name. I truly hope someone steps in and turns this place around, because based on my experience (and many others here) things have gone badly off the rails.
