I have been mostly happy with this daycare for both my kids. There has only been one teacher I didn't care for, but I think that happens at any school. The staff has always been helpful and answers questions. I love it that my daughter hugs on some of the office people (Tameka and Keesha) and they seem to really love her. The one thing I will say, and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is that it really just seems so corporate, which is both good and bad. I like that they have pretty strict rules with the kids but I also don't feel like the teachers stay with the same class for long. Teachers seem to be moved around a lot or they quit. That makes me wonder. They also ask for extra money for your child to lock in a spot for Pre-k about 6 months earlier. I thought that was a little much considering we pay a materials fee every year and the cost of the care itself isn't cheap. The daycare is clean and fun looking. My daughter loves it there and my son sometimes doesn't want to go, but he is not even 2 yet. They seem to do lots of activities and have lots of artwork. They read lots of books and I really like that. I am hoping that my daughter will test into an advanced kindergarten because of the learning done here. read more

My children have gone to this school for 2 years now and they love it. They are in the aftercare program which is excellent. The teachers help my kids with home work and they always have fun activities and science experiments. The director Brooke and the front desk girls are always friendly and make us feel welcome. I have a blended review and my review is the same as most of the others. The amenities are good and they have a pretty good curriculum as well. But the staff has turned over a lot in the year we were there. We moved our son because we didn't feel they have the attention needed to the kids. Some of the staff were good. But in the year there we had more incident reports, even have to pick up our son and take him to the ER because of a gash that he got while in there care. I honestly can't say enough great things about CLA. I just recently moved to Laveen and was touring daycare and unfortunately hardly any are open past 6:30pm and I needed something until at least 7pm. The last place I toured that was open past 630pm was filthy, small, smelt like a dog pound and the play area out back was right by the trash cans. I left there thinking that was my only option. When I got to CLA I was immediately impressed with how clean and modern the facility was. Gisele offered to give me a tour and when she told me they were only open until 630pm my heart sank thinking of that other awful daycare and knowing that was probably my only option at this point. I felt so overwhelmed and sick to my stomach just imagining my son there and I burst into tears. Gisele went above and beyond by offering to help watch my son if I needed 30 mins to get to CLA after work. I can't thank her enough, she is really a special person and genuinely cares about your kids. My son loves her and his teachers (Elsie, Janeka and Margaret) all of which are fantastic. He had learned so much, always has a clean diaper when I pick him up and is always in a happy mood. He really enjoys attending CLA and that may not have happened if someone like Gisele didn't go above and beyond her job duties. It makes a huge difference not just in our lives but his. Our children are our everything and it makes my heart happy to know there are still wonderful people like Gisele in the world making a difference and loving our babies like her own! read more

It's a beautiful campus but I do not recommend for children that are not potty trained. Sometimes they take a long time to change diapers. It's very pricey and I didn't think they actually learn anything. I think it's a great options for 3-4years but not younger. My child got hurt and I was never given a report. He has a bruise in his forehead. He was very traumatized to play with others because he felt the other kids would hurt him. I heard good things about this place but it was not a good fit for our child. I think smaller more individualized learning is a better option. I just didn't think it was worth it. We ended up giving up on it and just wait til age 4 to look for a better Preschool. We went to North Central area even though we lived in Laveen. I gave it two stars because it does look like a clean facility and it has beautiful play area. The director was nice too. With all of that if my child feels unsafe there is no point. Maybe it's a good fit for other but always research and be aware of any bruises and ask for diaper reports. read more

First...I love CLA, director kisha an staff. The director is so welcoming an makes any parent feel good about leaving their children at day care..the atmosphere is upbeat an full of fun an learning. You will see your child excel is many important milestones. They follow a great curriculum, and encourage parents to get involved. Parents are always welcome to stop by an check in through out the day..there are times I will just stay for a while when droping off or picking up my child. I cant bare to take her away from all the fun activities they do. The staff takes the time to get to know you an your child..I love when I walk in an im greeted by name..they build relationships, so your just not a face. The kids are given a safe and fun learning environment while making lots of friends to encourage their social development. The staff gets to know you and your kids, you never feel like just a $ sign. I am so disapointed, the staff in the front deak are so disrespectful. There were 4 in the front desk and none of them were of any help, I was completely ignored. If this is how they treat parents I cant even imagine how they must be with the kids. Its agreat looking place but the people here seem cold empty its a corporation not a school for kids. So sad I hope I eventually find something for my daughter and picking this place just didnt seem right in my heart my child is not just another kid. read more

We had to pick up our granddaughter Lexi for a couple of nights while our son worked and the daughter in law out of town on business. We had never been there before but were told of the procedure. We got there and were helped out by the front desk staff. They showed us how to sign her out and showed us where the room was. I was surprised but pleased to see the safety precautions in place in addition to the disposable booties to go into the one year old room so your shoe dirt doesn't get in there. They give a really nice report of what the girl did for the day, what she ate and when she napped. That was something I really would have enjoyed when my kids were going to daycare. The room assistants help you pack up and give you what came in with them and needs to go home. Very clean and they staff were great in both visits. Worse day care ever! My son attended there for a couple months and he hated it. He was always scared to stay there. One day I picked him up and a chunk of his hair was cut off. The teacher did not even know about it. I pulled him out right away. I spoke with the head of the place and she acted like she didn't care. I put him in a better school and had never seen him to be happy to go to school. I'd give it a 0 stars, but I guess 1 is the lowest. read more

Each time I have attempted to enroll my child here I have had a bad experience. The first time is when I had signed up on the waiting list for the scholarship. I waited for MONTHS, I called to check in at least once a month. It was not until I call on the 5th month that they tell me I needed to pay a $100 holding fee, which of nobody notified me, it just seemed to like a way to get money out of me!! After, I came back the lady that I spoke to said I could enroll my child without the scholarship for a reduced tuition and then we would revise in a few months. I call back a couple of weeks and she retracted everything. Very unprofessional!! If the staff is not professional enough to be honest with me, and seems like all they care about is the money, why would I feel safe to leave my child here?! Never coming back and will be advising friends and family against this place. read more

Updated Review: First let me start off by saying I really don't like to do this BUT I know I have to because it's been weighing heavy on my heart. I first took my son to this center, who was in the infant room. I then added both same son and older daughter a year later. They both transitioned through the classrooms pretty quickly. Which I didn't have a problem with, but my daughter, who had some issues with change, at the time, didn't do very well. Until she found the right teacher. Some of the teachers care but others do not. Very apparent in how they did not help with potty training my son properly, who ALWAYS had accidents there but never at home. With my daughter on the other had, I feel like the director tricked me into thinking she cared but but in the end, it was all about the money. At one point my children only went part time but she never talked to me about decreasing or changing my tuition rates other than to tell me they were going up. At another point when I wanted to unenroll my children, when she "saved" me, she rang this bell and made all this noise like it was a game. It was so embarrassing and she looked off. At the end of it all, I truly regret having to ever deal with this director (Brooke). What I can say is, I am truly thankful for a select few that I had met there. Honestly, the rest, YOU CAN THROW IN THE TRASH. ‍ Go elsewhere, do after school programs at the school. Go to another daycare. I could say so much more. From the way it flooded and they claimed it would be fixed (it took almost 9 months) to how she mistreats her employees. She just isn't nice in real life and I personally try to stay away from people like her in general. read more

Absolutely the worst place for kids. We had 2 preschoolers there and everyday they would have move them to another classroom with a new teacher and kids. There was one occasion where we saw a teacher screaming at 2 year olds. It doesn't appear that their staff have appropriate training in child development or redirection. I even met with the center director on two different occasions about our concerns and they promised to improve the situation but our kids continued to be shifted around to different teachers/rooms. We would come in to find our son crying hysterically on numerous occasions. It appears that they care more about the profit and the bottom line than what is developmentally appropriate for children. Additionally, I spoke with the director about what my preschooler was learning as they were getting ready for kindergarten and when I spoke to one of the teachers they could not even tell me what letter they were focusing on for that week and it was a Thursday. They do not provide an enriching educational experience and simply write a note to parents of what they did but it is far from reality. We moved our children to another preschool and couldn't have been happier. A recommendation to all parents to stay away from this place! They don't have their priorities in place. read more

My son has attended CLA since he was 1. This center is amazing and I have tried many others. I love the director Brooke, she is too nice and sweet. Jia was the first person I ever encountered at CLA. She is absolutely the best, she mad me feel comfortable with all my questions about the center. I get the most bang for my buck. The staff is caring and sweet, they make my child feel like he is apart of the family. I love the fact that he is not scared to go into the center and has made many friends here with his peers and teachers. The teachers are amazing and my child's development is beyond where it should be thanks to them. If I have any concerns I can speak my mind about them and they are listening with open ears. You always know what is going on in the classroom and with your child. read more

If your child is under the age of 4 this is not the daycare for you. Each room has too many kids and not enough supervision, their response is "it's within government guidelines." The result is hectic, chaotic, unorganized, under supervised rooms where it becomes the children's fault when they get hurt or hurt others. For the higher cost than other daycare you'd expect a higher class of supervision. We've used the same daycare for 7 years and have had multiple children attend. We've had good and bad experiences but for a lack of good alternatives we've stuck around. Hope it gets better! read more

We left Children's learning Adventure 9 months ago due to cost. We moved to Tutor Time at 75th Ave and Lower Buckeye. What a joke, all sorts of promises but neglect was what we found. My grandson has lost some of what he learned here at Children Learning Adventure and my granddaughter was dis-enrolled by Tutor Time because they had one teacher and 13 3-year olds in a room and she kept escaping. I originally assumed she was escaping to find her big brother but now I question what was happening to cause her to want to leave? I have read nothing good about Tutor Time over the last several days. I'm not sure how they are accredited because from their director down the line their care is unacceptable. The kids are back where they belong a Children's learning Adventure regardless of the cost this is where they will get the best care and education. Thank you Children's learning Adventure for taking great care of our kids. We won't be leaving again. read more

We've been attending CLA Laveen for about four months now. They have a great program. There are lots of amenities with an indoor gym, library, craft room, garden, etc. There is always something happening to keep the kids engaged. Most importantly, the curriculum is good. The curriculum is appropriate for their age and I know my daughter is learning a lot. She is currently in the Explorers program and I know she is going to be well prepared for Pre-K. By nature, my daughter is quiet and initially, she was intimated by the size of her classroom. Now that she has had time to get acclimated, she is doing great. She loves the teachers, everyone is so friendly, and has made a new best friend. We're really glad she's going here and being exposed to so many new things. My daughters have attended Children's Learning Adventure Laveen on and off for the last 6 years. This review is going to focus on my most recent experience which was March 2016-August 2018 and highlight one of the kindest, loving, nurturing teachers Marcella Alvarado. When my youngest daughter was born I was fortunate enough to have family near by that could care for her but I knew it was only going to be a 2 year option. When it came time to find care for my then 2 year old I knew CLA- Laveen was going to be the choice. As I stated before my older daughter had received care here in previous year and they absolutely loved it! When Miss A went for the first time it was really, really rough. She had only ever been with family and was terrified. By the third day she was inconsolable and it was taking a huge toll on me mentally and emotionally and of course on her. My husband and I agreed that we were going to give it a few weeks because change is hard and I am so glad we did! On the forth day drop off was rough but when it came time for pick up Miss A was running around and smiling!! I was informed that she had the best day yet and that she had taken a liking to one of the newer teacher Ms Marcella. As long as Marcella was in her sight Miss A was fine. It became apparent as the days and weeks went on that Miss A was Marcella's shadow and as long as she was there all was well. Miss A did not cry at drop off at all when Marcella was waiting for her. As the months went on Miss A was absolutely in love with Marcella or "My Cella" as she still calls her ;) When it came time for Miss A to move up a class I was terrified! The thought of Miss A not being with Marcella was awful. I was able to make arrangements to still drop her off to Marcella and then she was supposed to be transitioned to another room. Like Miss A, several of the other little's in the class and the parents saw the special bond Marcella had with their children. I still am not sure how it all happened but for the next 2 years each time my daughter moved to a new class she was able to stay with Marcella and most of her friends. Having that level of consistency was such a blessing. I can't even count how many times Marcella went out of her way to make sure the kids all felt loved and cared for. When the time came recently for Miss A to got off to school it was a tough decision to send her to the local school district for preschool but thanks to the care and education provided by Marcella and her fellow teachers she was more than ready and has been killing it in pre-k! I cannot begin to thank Marcella or CLA enough for the level of care and comfort they provided my little firecracker over the last 2 years. Marcella and CLA have become family and will always be my first choice for care! read more

My daughter attends CLA and I absolutely love it. The management and staff is friendly and the facility is gorgeous and clean. The teachers are also certified and cleared. Also, Early Childhood Education (ECE) was very important to me and my husband rather than just a daycare. CLA met our requirements for ECE and the staff works very well with the curriculum/development. I also enjoy the meal plans they do for the children that (included in tuition). This is the worst place to bring your children for childcare. The management of this facility does not care about the well being of the children or their employees. If you request to review video tapes to investigate why your child has bruisings or marks, they can NOT provide you with such thing because they do not record what goes on in the classrooms. So your child may be abused and you will never have the proof. As for the employees, you could ask them to go on a potty break and they will NOT come to relieve you for hours. You can work 8 hours, and they will NOT give you any breaks. You will remain in the classroom all day unless a "potty break" is requested. If you have the stomach flu or food poisoning, they WILL expect you to attend work! They do not care if you are exposing the children with your illness! If the employees are not happy, how will they manage to be positive toward your children? I can not stress enough how horrible this place is. Do not enroll your children here. read more

My daughter has been going to Children's Learning Adventure since she was four months old. As a parent it is difficult to leave your first (and only) child for 8 or more hours a day in an unfamiliar place, especially in this day and age. CLA has done everything to make my family feel safe and loved over the four years we have attended the school. We love the activities and events they plan that allow parents to be involved during school hours and at home. I love walking in to a place every day where everyone knows my name and who my child is. My daughter has made life-long friends at CLA. We also love that the curriculum is preparing her (and us) for kindergarten. I'm astonished by how much she's learned in her time at this school. This is not simply a daycare, it's a place where children learn and grow. My daughter's favorite class is culinary where they learn the basics of putting recipes together. I highly recommend Laveen CLA to anyone who is looking for a place to send their child. read more

let me start off saying during the tour it was very nice and the facility looked extremely clean and great for children all together. Our tour guide was Miranda and she made sure to explain everything the children do,in each room, for us.I didn't like to howl at the end of the tour, me and my husband didn't actually get a chance to think about if we really wanted to put him in that school or if we wanted to check out other schools.she was a little too, I don't want to say pushy, but right at the end of the tour she automatically said this is how much is owed and how do you want to pay it, without us even talking about it to each other.in my son's class there is normally to teachers, it in the morning and then they switch off in the evening for two other teachers and all of them are very friendly and they're willing to tell you how your child did that day.one thing there that I would say that I don't like is the morning teachers and the late afternoon teachers do not really socialize about how's the students were doing in the morning and how they do in the afternoon. What I mean by that is, if you intend to ask the afternoon teachers how your child did in the morning they will most likely tell you I don't know. Backspace, vice versa for the afternoon teachers in the morning pictures. (teachers not pictures). I love how in the morning when we drop him off that there are 2 classes combined which means 3-4 teachers for 20 children and I understand that children will be children so I don't expect it to be completely quiet and not a little crazy. One teacher, ms.Beverly is understanding yet somewhat stern with the children so they listen when time is needed and another teacher, ms.layla, is solo sweet that the children just love her so much, as do I(:. They actually take the time to memorize all the children's name instead of calling them hey, or you, which is really good in my eyes. However, I will say that I am a little frustrated at how my sons name is constantly being spelled wrong, but they reassure me that it is spelled right in the system.
