We couldn't be more thrilled with our experience at Magical Journey Learning Center (MJLC) in Ahwatukee! Our daughter Reese graduated from their program, passed her testing with flying colors, and was accepted for early entry into Kindergarten--a huge milestone that set her up for success right from the start. Reese absolutely adored every moment at MJLC. She formed such strong bonds with her teachers, especially Ms. Spada and Ms. Emily, who made learning fun, engaging, and tailored to her needs. As parents, we always felt completely supported by the entire team; it's clear that Jess Spada knows how to run an exceptional pre-K program that nurtures both academic and social growth. Now in Kindergarten, Reese is thriving and was even the first in her class to receive a leader award--what a proud moment! We're incredibly grateful we found MJLC. Jess Spada was actually the second person I met when scouting homes in Ahwatukee from out-of-state, and her kindness from day one has been unwavering. A Truly Magical Place for Our Daughter Magical Journey Learning Center has truly been a blessing for our family. After trying a few different places, we finally found this incredible center--and instantly fell in love. The warm, family-oriented atmosphere, the welcoming teachers, and the fantastic Director made the transition so much easier for both us and our daughter. The Summer Camp activities were creative, engaging, and fun. I especially want to recognize Ms. Gigi--my daughter can't stop talking about her! She tells everyone how kind and wonderful her teacher is, which is so reassuring for us as parents. My son was having issues with nap time in his prior school and wasn't able to stay full day which we NEEEDED him to as we work full time . Magically journey took in my son and he instantly took naps and is very happy there . Wish we would have switched sooner :) read more

I'd like to take a moment to recommend MJLC. My son came out of his previous preschool (the one before MJLC) with behavior of a traumatized kid. He started to be much less confident and he was afraid and nervous of the dark and being alone. He became very clingy. He overreacted and was overly emotional. I walked to MJLC and talked to Miss Spada about my son, I shared my concerns. My son has been with the school for almost a school year now. When he had episodes, I was told that he would be in the front desk hanging out with Miss Spada. She also had some small toys to help the overreacted children calm down. Beside MJLC, I enrolled my son in a special Ed program to help with his emotion (he is too sensitive). MJLC does look into the goals and the recommendations from my son's special Ed program and try to be consistent with my son. My son started out at MJLC with lots of emotion issues. He has been slowly gaining back his confidence. He is 4, has been in the US for a little over a yr. Before that he was speaking and listening to a totally different language. He might get shy and be sad a lot when he ask others to play with him and is rejected (other kids mostly gave up as they couldn't understand him)... but he is not scared to be by himself for a short time, or walk to a dark room by himself anymore. I am forever grateful of MJLC for supporting and nurturing my son. If you want to find a clean, nice preschool with a director who is very understanding of parents and try he very best to support children and parents' schedule/ concerns.... come to MJLC :) read more

We love MJLC. My twins learn so much each day and share with us when they get home all the fun things they learned. The teacher to kid ratio is low and wonderful. Each kid gets plenty of individual attention. The summer was there favorite, so many activities planned everyday. The staff is PHENOMENAL. MJLC is our third daycare, and will be our last! Our 3 year old son has been attending MJLC for 1-1/2 years now - he is always happy and excited to go to school to see Ms. Jessica (and all of his other wonderful teachers, of course) to learn, read, dance and play, and he has so much to tell me about when I pick him up each day! Ms. Jessica is very communicative and helpful on all fronts. The teachers are so creative and effective at teaching - a parent couldn't ask for much more. On top of that, the kiddos get to participate in great specials like music & movement and Spanish, they have a great outside and inside play area, and the school hosts special events and parties for the kiddos to keep parents involved in the school. We love MJLC! read more

MJLC was a huge positive experience for our little girl! They always went beyond extra on so many things from communication, to school events, all the in class activities and weekly specials (mad science was her fav!). Magical Journey has been a total lifesaver for us since moving to Phoenix at the beginning of the year. They have been nothing but accommodating, squeezing our 3 year old in with very little notice, and providing such reliable and amazing care. The entire staff is so friendly and easy to work with, and it's very clear that our son LOVES seeing his teachers, friends and Miss Spada every day. We have had a great experience at Magical Journey. We moved from out of state, and Jessica Spada and her wonderful staff gave our family such a warm welcome and helped create a soft landing for our kiddos during the transition. Within the first week of summer camp, our youngest (age 2) was running to give her teacher a hug and our oldest (age 5) was settling into a routine with his new teacher and friends. The communication is excellent, and we love the weekly updates and photos. Jessica has been extremely helpful and flexible in our onboarding, and we love that the school clearly balances structure and routine with character-based values, exploration and fun - a great combination for little minds to learn and grow! read more

Magical Journey Learning Center, Jessica and all the teachers are such a blessing. I'm so grateful to have started my son at their summer camp a few weeks ago. My son turns three this week and due to covid and an infant sister at home in 2020, he missed his opportunity to be social in his twos. It makes me happy to see how excited he gets in the mornings when i start packing his backpack. This tells me that he is in the right place. He is learning so many new things and comes home with the cutest art pieces. The teachers here are so creative. My sons Father's Day art he made at MJLC beat all other gifts that day. After visiting what seemed to be almost every preschool in Ahwatukee trying to find a school that met all of my requirements I stepped into Magical Journey Learning Center and was immediately relieved. I could tell the moment I walked in that this school was different, it felt warm and welcoming. The classrooms were open and clean. Each class was filled learning material, age appropriate toys and books, as well as imaginative play centers (such as play kitchens and doctor/vet equipment). When I left the tour I knew I had found the perfect school for my son that had met all my requirements, and then some. That was over a year ago, I currently have 2 children attending school there. My 4 year old has been attending for over year (currently in the pre-K room) and my 2 year old just recently started in the preschool room. The teachers and directors at MJLC have been amazing. They are kind and inviting and are very loving towards my kids. And they are approachable and open to discuss my child's learning and behavior. I get weekly emails about what my kids have learned the week before. I like that I am continually being informed on how my children are doing in school. For my little one, I get a daily report with what he did that day, how much he ate, and any diaper changes. All the class sizes are small and both my sons have a main teacher and an assistant teacher in their rooms, which means more individualized attention. The school is open from early morning to evening (and offer care for breaks and holidays) which was prefect for me and my husband who both work full time. Every week my sons attend dance, movement, Spanish, and music. It's hard dropping my kids off at school everyday, but I know when I drop them off here that they are getting the best and most nurturing education possible. When we walk in each morning my kids are excited to be there and happily walk into their rooms ready to learn and play (yay no crying or screaming!). Enrolling my girls at Magical Journey was single-handedly THE BEST decision I made when relocating from NYC to Arizona. From the very beginning, Jessica ensured I felt at ease by communicating openly and offering ample flexibility. Magical journey learning center is a terrific private school nestled in the Ahwatukee Foothills area that understands each child has unique gifts and helps discover those talents through individualized developmental plans. Our son is in Ms. Bianca's Pre-K class. She manages the children to the outcome while recognizing each child may take a different path to get there. What I appreciate most is the high academic standards with the same emphasis on the values in life we all need: to be a good friend, an achiever striving for excellence, and most importantly a good human being on earth. We can't say enough good things about Magical Journey! After having two of our boys in another daycare in Ahwatukee, and that location closing, we had to find another location for our son that was too young for school. After touring other locations, we decided on Magical Journey, and we could not have chosen a better place for our son! From the director to the teachers, they all really care about the kids, and now that our son has finished their preschool program, he is 100% ready to start Kindergarden.
