I've been using Whiz Kidz for close to 4 years (2 children) and I have always felt very confident that my children were safe, happy and WELL taken care of. Everyone that works there is nice and cares about the children. Their attention to education is impressive. My oldest that just started kindergarten is excelling and was more than prepared. My 2nd has been at Whiz Kidz since he was 6 months old and is so happy every day when I pick him up. As a parent, we all want our children to be safe, happy, treated with care and learn. We enjoyed our time at Whiz Kidz for over 2 years. Reasonable food, adequate equipment and curriculum. We had wonderful teachers in the 2s. The 3s had on-going turnover and less structure. Some constructive criticism: Understanding that no business is exempt from current economic conditions, the standards for the directors/assistants are non-existent. When we started, Theresa (?) was professional and the place reflected it. The revolving door of directors/assistants over the past year were clearly desperation hires and the place reflects it. During COVID, vacations were taken away and have not returned. Feels punitive and petty. read more

When we moved to Scottsdale we had looked at some preschools and even placed her in one by PV Mall. But what my main concern was the hours staying open till 6pm because I work various hours in sales and my husband worked various hours too. And how many hours she could stay and how much. Most places we found they would charge so much a month like over $700 for only 3 to 5 hours of preschool. One school charged $8 per hour which added to too much! This preschool is awesome with the hours and the fact you can have your kids there for 10 hours works for our busy schedule! Our daughter loved school so much playing with the other kids we let her stay the full hours. Some things I really love about Whiz Kidz 1. Daughter was so comfortable and really liked all the staff. 2. They have an outdoor playground that kids of various ages all play together. So not stuck inside all day. 3. Great teachers. My daughter has been going to whiz kids for about 7 months now. When I enrolled her I felt guilty for the time I was missing until I realized enrollment was the best thing for her. My daughter is thriving here with teachers that truly love and care for her. She gets to learn social skills and how to express herself in a healthy environment. Best day care experience EVER!!! I have a 6 year old, that means I have had my fair share of day care experiences. Without a doubt this location exceeded my expectations. Pro's: -They have great staff, caring loving, attentive. They clearly loved my kid and my kid loved them back. It's usually pretty impossible to like each and every member but they were ALL great. Thank you Ms. Trinidad, Ms. Yadira and others. -when Covid changed our needs from daycare to a tutor center, management accommodated and adjusted instantly. They provided a great distance learning environment. Thank you Ms. Theresa, Laura and Terri. -their hours; they are open very long hours to accommodate your needs -their app; is amazing, they send pictures throughout the day, reply to your messages and share the food intake per meal. You can't really ask for more than that. And I sent so many messages asking questions and they replied timely each and every one of them Cons: NOTHING if you are looking for a place, this is it. We have been bringing our baby here since he was 3 months old (about 4 months in total now). We are first time parents and it was also during a pandemic which could have been a very overwhelming experience. The Whiz Kidz staff is so great about communicating throughout the day and sending pictures of our little guy it eased all those worries. All of the staff I have worked with have been wonderful from Theresa, the center director, to Shawna & Yadira some of the many amazing teachers. Our 22 month old daughter has been going to WhizKidz part-time now for about two months. This was her first experience with daycare and, as first time parents, ours, too! We could not be happier with the program and the people who run it and look after the kids. They send pictures, videos, and updates throughout the day. They serve healthy food and keep the kids busy all day long with fun and interesting activities. Our daughter has caught a few illnesses since joining but that's totally expected. I was also delighted - REALLY - to receive a text saying that some kids had been diagnosed with hand foot and mouth disease. We kept our daughter home the next day and she avoided it. I'd rather make the decision to burn a day or two of tuition or chance exposing her to something super contagious instead of blindly sending her because the daycare didn't tell me. I love them and am so happy that she will be taken care of by the same people until she goes to school. read more

Whiz kids is awesome. Theresa and Pearl are awesome in the front office and made us feel very welcome since day one. They have been so accommodating to us and treat us like family. We had to change day cares because our old one had shut down suddenly, so we did a ton of research and really went off of feel from our visits, in which whiz kids gave us the best vibe by far. Still a 5 star daycare!! The daycare was great when he started and in the last year they have made so many improvements. My son started in the 1 year old room and is now in the 2 year old room. Excellent place. My children have only been going here about a month, however;I am so impressed with the cleanliness, safety, and teaching that happens here. My youngest started speaking the week we switched to this school, and my oldest has shown calmer behavior at home. I've been to a few preschools and daycares around north Phoenix, and I can say by far this one is the best. I have no association with anyone working there (in regards to the bad review in which the person states all good reviews are from employees!) .... We have sent our now 5 year-old son to Whiz Kidz for over two years and have really enjoyed and appreciated all that the teachers and directors have done for our son. Our sons were in at home day care for years prior to us bringing them to Whiz Kids. We were so intimidated and scared to bring them to a preschool because we were afraid they wouldn't get the personal attention like they did at the in person care, but boy were we wrong. The ladies and guys at Whiz Kids love our kiddos so much and have developed such strong bonds with them. Everyday when I drop them off I know they'll have a great day and be treated amazing. Its the best feeling to drop your kids off and not have to think about how the day will be for them. They do a lot of hands on learning with them and they get plenty of outdoor play time. They teach the kids about respect and being kind to one another. And they're always up front with us about any issues that take place and have great communication with us throughout the day. Our kids have also developed great relationships with the other kids that go there as well. I just can't say enough great things about it! I'm so glad we made the switch and I'm so glad our youngest gets another 2 years to attend Whiz Kids before he heads off to Kindergarten. Our oldest started here when he was almost 5 so he only had a few months before he went to Kindergarten but they also assisted with online learning for him as well and it was a lifesaver for us! We love Whiz Kidz! My two girls have been attending since we moved into the neighborhood almost 4 years ago. The teachers and staff are amazing, and care for my children as if they were their own. They are also very accommodating of unique needs and were open to the idea of cloth diapers, as well as many other requests I have made throughout the years! My daughter ariana started this preschool from feb 2016 and she is loving it so much. I send her 3 days in week for half day,she is just 22 month old but the days she doesnt attend school she keeps telling me "mummy go school" keeps talking about her teacher "ms.brenda" all the time at home. I liked the teacher they really take good care of my daughter and are affectionate and loving and caring. She got adjusted to school very quickly too bcoz of that. I had no complaints on part for the teachers, as a matter of fact they were great, my children had learned plenty when they were attending there. Unfortunately, all three were dismissed from this daycare. The director, had given me a 2week notice because I supposedly have been picking my kids up after hours. It has only been twice since I did so, and not even five minutes. No verbal warning was given. The director had my kids outside in the cold, without their jackets. When asked to get their jackets, she had replied that doors were already locked. I explain to her that I was not leaving without them, that we had to take a 2hr bus ride. With in incredibly rude attitude, she demanded to me to hurry up. Honestly, I took my sweet, sweet time getting their jackets.. I was not allowed to even sign them out. When asked to have copies of the sign-out sheets (to prove her wrong) she had told me that it is in storage, and does not have time to pull them out. Today, I called in regards to this, and was told per policy was not able to give copies, to check on website. No where on their website were policies were found. Wrongfully kicked out. read more

If you're looking for the bare minimum for the person you love most in the world then you found the right place. The ratio of students to teachers is 15 to 1 so be ready to feed your kid a horse tranquilizer for him or her to be successful at Whiz Kids. The schools administration led by Theresa is horrendous. Probably the least professional educator I've encountered in my 8 years of parenting a total of 3 kids. Not a great business plan to stuff as many kids into one room then staff the room at the bare minimum requirement. So again if you're good with giving your kid the bare minimum then this school is a great choice. The last teacher my son had was fantastic but she's leaving the school next week so don't let her sell you on it. This place was a treasure some years ago when the owner was running the operation but it's taken a deep DEEP nosedive after going under new management. read more

We couldn't be happier! We had a bad experience previously that we tolerated for way too long. I put an "in search of" post out in a Facebook Mom's group and people were raving about Whiz Kidz Phoenix. My daughter started full time in the 2's class the week of her 2nd birthday. I was pulling her from a school where she came home every day with bite and scratch marks. She had even started to bite me and my husband. There is so much more, but this review is not about them! My daughter has been at Whiz Kidz now for 2 months. She knows her ABC's, can count to 10, sing every song you can think of and RUNS away from me when I pick her up. I cannot believe how much she has advanced in 2 months, and she has never tried to bite us or anyone else since the switch. She doesn't come home injured daily either! They spend a lot of time outside with the kids and the food is high quality. I bet you are thinking you can't afford it, but you're wrong! I drive completely out of the way to bring her here, and it's beyond worth it! read more

This place is truly a hidden gem. We have had our two oldest high energy, wild sons attend this preschool over the past two years and they have completely thrived here. I love that Whiz Kidz is small and family oriented. There is very low turn over in staff and it is nice to see familiar faces every day. My daughter has been in the school for over a month now and we could not be happier about it. She used to attend Tutor Time (since 9 weeks old) and both my hubby and I have noticed a great difference in her behavior since starting WhizKids. She comes home excited to tell us about her day. They have an app that gives the parents information and updates about events and what your child has been doing for the day. Everyday is busy and full of fun activities; she is thriving very well in their environment and with the curriculum they've set. Her teacher, Ms. Yadira, is caring and sweet and absolutely adores her students. In fact, all of the staff have been very nice. And the facility is very clean. My son started Sahuaro in October. He is my only and I was pretty anxious about leaving him. We toured a few other daycares but I felt hesitation with them. I did not once get a feeling of hesitation when touring Sahuaro. First of all, I love how small it is. My son is 2 and is in a class with only 2 year olds. The class is large and CLEAN! In fact, the cleanliness is one of the things I noticed right away and it hasn't wavered in the months he's been in attendance. The teachers are a blessing and my son talks about Ms. Sheila a ton. I don't feel like the teachers are just babysitting. They are truly interacting and teaching. I wanted to know my son was learning while I was away at work. My son is 2 and can count to 20 and knows his colors and recites a prayer from school before meals at home. He is absolutely learning. On days he's clingy and wants me before leaving the only one he goes to comfortably is his teacher and that makes me happy knowing he loves her so much. They are an open door policy so you can come check on your child at anytime, which I like. Overall, this place is a true blessing. You will have peace of mind sending your child here. read more

I have two kids that have been going to this preschool for a year now and they have been just great. My daughter was an infant when she started there. Even though there was a little turn over in staff in the last year, the people they have hired have always been nurturing and caring to my little one. When she turned one, her teacher threw her a birthday party and gave her a gift and I know the cost was out of her own pocket. That tells me they really care about their kids. When it was time for her to transition from the "infant" room to the "ones (toddlers)" room, they really let her take her time and made sure she was ready. Some centers churn kids as soon as they turn one to get more infants in (because they can charge more and they usually have a waiting list) but not here. They were really patient and let her transition at her own pace. In April there was a 911 incident with my child and they handled it with the utmost professionalism and I can't thank them enough. My son started when he was 2 and in the middle of potty training. They helped him (and me) with the process and he was in big boy underpants in no time. It is so great when you no longer have to change two diapers!! My son loves his friends and the enrichment classes they offer like music, dance and karate. He LOVES his karate classes! Now that my kiddo is 3 he can be a little rowdy and moody, but I trust their discipline techniques and the teachers and director have great communication with me when it come to any concern with either of my kids. The facility is an older facility but the director makes sure its in good shape. I see she constantly makes improvements such as resurfacing the parking lot, installing outdoor water fountains, new trikes and play equipment for the kids, garden boxes and I think recently I think I noticed a new A/C in the lobby area to make it more comfortable. I do drop in expectantly at the center now and again and "spy" on my little ones and I like to watch them have so much fun. I recommend this place. read more

I have to little girls, 3 and 9 months and 2 and 8 months they started attending Sahuaro Preeschool past September and I love the idea to have peace of mind that they are well take care and most importantly that they are learning numbers, letters, colors everything a child should know by that age, all teachers are certified and my husband and I've been noticing that their speech is growing everyday even in English whic their first spoken language is Spanish, so happy with this School, I totally recommended to anyone that needs an affordable, safe and clean place to leave your child. read more

Being a first time parent and needing to put our son in daycare at the age of 1 was hard. We first tried a large daycare and immediately pulled him after 1 day. We searched around for a smaller less chaotic place and immediately got a warm feeling after a tour at WhizKidz. We were worried that he would have a hard time because he would be there part time. He transitioned well and easily. He has been there for 9 months now and I have not one single complaint. The staff is very friendly and consistent. Brenda and Serena are absolutely great. I am probably legitimately going to ugly cry when we have our last day here next week. We came here after having a bad experience at our previous daycare for how they handled a Covid positive teacher. I was getting free daycare through the state for being a medical worker. Sadly that ended and it just boils down to we cannot afford this place. No fault of their own, if I could afford it I would pay them this fee no problem because of the amazing care my son has gotten. I wish they did part time for infants but I understand why they don't. Miss Terri and Shawna are absolutely amazing. Shawna communicates every little thing with me and it's brought so much relief especially with his allergies. Every employee I've met at drop off and pick up has been so friendly and welcoming. My son has attended whiz kids for over 2 years now and I must say I wouldn't trust any other place for him. He started in the baby room which I loved the smaller ratios of babies to teacher. He is now in the 2's classroom and his teacher in there is incredible. She takes the time to listen to the kids and I must say I've been pleased with all the teachers that have been in his classrooms. The staff is personable, they even sent us a card congratulating us on having our second son. I love the brightwheel app they use to update me on my son's day and getting to see pictures makes me feel much better about being away from him at work. During his week he not only gets water play day during the summer, but music and gardening. The curriculum is very satisfactory, and I am very pleased with his learning. read more
