Our son has been at Arcadia Montessori in Ms. Ayla's toddler class for over a year now and we couldn't be happier with his development. From his vocabulary to independence to leadership, he has truly grown by leaps and bounds. School has worked hard to empower him to feel capable of many tasks and has challenged us to give him more independence at home as well. He enjoys taking skills he's learned at school to help with tasks around the house. All of this has helped give him a strong sense of self that we know will serve him for the rest of his life. After three kids, I know a good school when I see one. I had a different Montessori school in the area in mind, but after visiting arcadia montessori I quickly changed my mind. This school is a haven for parents looking for a Montessori education with a strong community. Our son has attended Arcadia Montessori since the fall of 2021 and it's been an overwhelmingly positive experience! Enrolling him in the midst of a global pandemic, while also being first-time parents, was a stressful time, to say the least. However, the staff could not have been more kind, supportive, communicative, and patient. Raena, who now serves as the school's Director, was our son's first lead teacher. She and her incredible staff became an extension of our family. Not only have they been instrumental in his social and academic development, they have also made us better parents by educating and supporting us through the many milestones and regressions of toddlerhood. We were very fond of the former Director, Teresa, but after learning of Raena's promotion, were overjoyed! Not only does she have a deep understanding of child development, but she is adored by children and parents, alike. Any concern we have ever raised has always been met with compassion and validation, as well as proposed solutions and expert insight. She always does what is in the best interest of the students, and cares deeply for the families she serves. Additionally, we have found such a great community with the families who attend AMS. It's been so beautiful watching our son create bonds with his classmates, and we are lucky to have developed friendships with the parents and caretakers, as a result. We love this sweet school so much! We toured Arcadia Montessori after looking at a few others and we immediately felt at home and we've felt that same way now five years later. The campus is beautiful, the playgrounds are covered by big shade trees, the classrooms are gorgeous. We love the teachers the most and how they care for our girls. We've been a part of the AMS community for 2 years, and cannot say enough wonderful things about the school. We love Arcadia Montessori 52nd Street Campus! We've had our son enrolled for just about a year and could not say enough great things, especially with his toddler class. The campus is clean, the teachers and the administrative staff are so warm and welcoming and we get the feeling that they truly care about our child! I love that they greet the children every morning with a smile as that goes such a long way for being great role models and a great way to start each day! If an incident occurs regarding a bump or fall, we are notified immediately via the app and a photo is usually attached. The app also allows us to stay in communication with his teacher as we can send messages in realtime to her and vice versa. We also get pictures of our child throughout the week. They also offer toddler parent classes such as potty training and helping your child succeed at home. The staff truly care and help us parents be successful in supporting our child at home. We have absolutely loved our time at Arcadia Montessori. It has been wonderful to see our son flourish socially, emotionally, and intellectually. The staff (shout out to Ms Raenas team) is always there to offer us support through whatever challenge we are experiencing at home. Eli truly loves his time spent at school (which is quite a lot considering we both have full time jobs). We as parents have also found a nice community amongst the parents and I especially appreciate the diversity amongst families across every sector (number of children, race, careers, the list goes on and on). I love that AMS doesn't have a "type" of family. I will treasure these relationships even once our son has long since graduated. I also would be remiss to not mention the incredible support of the director group (especially Teresa). She brings so much passion and experience to the magical property/curriculum that is AMS. Her empathy for parents and children never goes unnoticed while also running an organization that seems to also focus on developing the staff and teacher (we've experienced almost zero turnover in the 2 years we've been there). Words honestly can't describe the love our family has for AMS. We have been with the school for 6 years now, with 1.5 years left for my daughter. I tear up just thinking about this journey ending. All of the teachers have been wonderful, from Ms. Lauryn to Ms. Kristen to Ms. Amelia, where our daughter is currently. Amelia has been teaching at the school for 42 years. She claims her super power is teaching, which I would wholeheartedly agree. The passion the staff puts into the students is unremarkable. They are strict, which is great for toddlers and primary, and encourage independence in all aspects of their day. Ms. Teresa, the director of the school, has great control and influence on keeping the school running smoothly. She has guided us through some tough parenting topics and always offers sound advice. Our son, who graduated from AMS, is now in 1st grade, in public school, and has been flourishing. I accredit the foundation that was built for our son at AMS to his success! My daughter attended this school for three years and I couldn't have wished for a better school. When she first started she was 3 and she was super shy. Within a month she started opening up and playing with the other kids and by the time she left the school everyone knew her name! We enrolled our daughter at Arcadia Montessori almost 2 years ago. During her tenure at AMS our she grew in so many ways. First and foremost, her social skills were noticeably better. She treats other kids more respectfully and has also became more independent. Further, I LOVE how they teach life skills. My daughter knows more about gardening and growing vegetables than I do! Another thing that made it very easy on us as parents was the responsiveness of the administrative staff. Every email I sent during the application process and any questions I had while my daughter was enrolled was responded to promptly and professionally. We did not continue with enrollment for our daughter because we have two other children at a different school and she is finally at the age where she can attend the same school as them. If it weren't for this I would have kept her there until she "graduated." Will truly miss our AMS family! Could not be prouder to be apart of the Arcadia Montessori family. My son attended their Virginia Avenue location for three years beginning with Ms. Lauryn in the toddler room then moved up to Ms. Kristen's classroom - both of which are still dedicated teachers now at the 52nd street campus. My son is now in the first grade and flourishing! He's doing second grade math and I am confident he's doing such a great job because of the foundation created at AMS, they are so wonderful and really do a great job at fostering a positive safe environment with a deep love of learning. My family and I were overjoyed to learn of an opening in the infant classroom for our daughter, and even happier still to learn Ms. Lauryn would be her teacher. All the teachers in her class are so patient and loving. They provide lots of updates via the app - number of diapers, time and duration of naps, when, what and how much she ate and most importantly pictures of her day, playing and engaging in a wide variety of various works. My daughter was previously at Bright Horizons and let me tell you it is night and day between the two! With Arcadia Montessori being exponentially better. As you walk in the classroom it is so quiet and serene, such a great calming positive environment. I drop my daughter off every day with confidence that she's in good hands with providers who genuinely care for her. At drop offs, all the teachers and staff say hello to my daughter by name. It really is a wonderful community. Very engaged with activities and events throughout the year. Very thorough parent teacher conferences, even in the infant class - they understand the importance and how critical the first years are and are so eager to share the progress of my child with clear paths towards future learning. We're so thankful for a flexible schedule too as we drop off as early at 7:30am and then pickup at 5:30pm year-round! No worrying about finding summer programs. Could not be happier with Arcadia Montessori 52 Street Campus. I absolutely recommend this school to all. My son now years later is still best friends with a buddy met in the toddler class even though they both go to different schools. With my husband and I both working full time jobs, we originally had a nanny come to our house to watch my first born little one. We did that for a year, and it was nice, but really expensive and we felt our daughter wanted and needed more interaction with other kids. Because she wasn't 18 mo old yet, we put her in a standard, run of the mill day care associated with a nearby church. It was nice, much cheaper than the in-house nanny, but there were definitely opportunities. It had much more the feel of "we'll keep your child alive and fed, but overall really young people are going to play on their phones while "watching" your children. Fast forward to 2016 when my daughter was old enough to be in AMS. We joined AMS and instantly saw her language, potty training, and overall emotional intelligence improve. We're now in 2020, and my daughter is still at AMS for kindergarten, and both of my sons are there too. Every teacher we've had along the way, along with the school's administration, have been kind, compassionate, and quickly became someone our children befriend . When you consider the hours needed for child care in a household with two working parents and the price per hour, the price for AMS's level of care, compassion and education is really not much more than the price of the "just keep your kid alive" day cares, and it is without a doubt worth it in every way. read more

Our family absolutely loves Arcadia Montessori!!! I cannot say enough good things about the school and the program, but I'll try and cover a few. The Director Ms. Raena is absolutely fabulous. She takes the time to get to know every single family and every single child. Every morning when I see Ms. Raena, I can ask her anything about either of my kids, and she knows exactly what is going on. It's incredible! Ms. Ayla and Ms. Yvette's entire team in the toddler class is outstanding. They create such a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for young toddlers to discover themselves and their independence. And Ms. Jessica's primary team has done such a wonderful job creating a challenging and enriching environment for the big kids to learn, grow, and get ready for Elementary School. My teacher is just fabulous, and the montessori teaching methods are improving his focus, mechanical skills and already he knows his letters and numbers! Our son has been at Arcadia over the past 2.5 years and we've been so happy with everything there that we've decided to stay on into the Kindergarten year as well. We fell in love with the school when we first walked through it, the way the houses and backyards blend into each other, the beautiful gardens and the ample play areas (including a splash pad) all impressed us at first glance. But it is the teachers of course that made us stay as long as we have. Our son's teacher, Miss Kristin, is loving yet firm and our parent-teacher meetings are evidence of how well she organizes the classroom and ensures the kids are growing while giving them space for self-discovery and exploration. The students also receive instruction in music, yoga and art and come home almost daily with some writing, math or art work, and work charts at the end of the week. The school events, in particular the winter program and the art show, are highlights of the year for the kids and parents alike and are very well managed and executed by the school. The school also hosts informational sessions every now and then. We visited about 6 different pre-K schools in the area, and Arcadia was a very easy decision for us - one that, almost 3 years later, we still are glad we made. Our son has been attending AMS for a little under a year now in the toddler program. We have been so happy with the school, the teachers and the community. They really do a great job connecting with the kids and creating a positive and fun learning environment. Our guy had a hard time adjusting to a new school at first (he had been at home up until then) but the teachers were so kind, conscientious, and thoughtful with him. They helped him through the transition period and I was so grateful for their positivity and patience. He loves going every day and really likes his teachers. They've got fun activities for the kiddos - yoga, music, splash pad, PE... Lots to keep them busy and active. My son has been at Arcadia Montessori since he was 20 months old (he's now 3), and there is no place I would rather him be! It's an amazing school, and all of his teachers have been nurturing, kind and patient. It looks like a little secret garden, with beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. Previously, my son went to another Montessori school, but we pulled him out as soon as we were off the wait list at Arcadia. The difference was night and day. Best decision we ever made. They also have really neat events, my favorite being the art show in the spring. My son loves to go to school, and has learned so much (not just normal preschool stuff, but art, music, yoga, etc.) I am incredibly happy with Arcadia Montessori and highly recommend it to parents who want their children to be taught in the Montessori method! read more

I attended Arcadia Montessori around 1999-2003. I'm 24 years old & I have vivid memories of my time there. These few years were pivotal in shaping my future. I remember Ms. Amelia & Ms.Judy the love & care they had for us. I learned how to read, braid hair, count money, speak Spanish. I swear this education gave me an advantage in school, even to this day. I've always been a top achiever in class & never struggled in higher education. Even 20 years later I still can think back and appreciate everything they did for me. I can't wait until I have children & I can send them to Arcadia Montessori. I'm so happy to see this wonderful place is still open & thriving. I even have a life long friend that I met as a toddler from this school! I thank my grandparents often for giving me this amazing opportunity that set me up for my future. Alright, where do I begin? We started at AMS in the spring of 2012, my son was 18 months. Fast forward to 2020 and we are still here with my FOURTH child who just turned three. The other ones moved to Hopi Elementary. I cannot being to explain the amount of pride I have when talking about and recommending AMS for others. The office staff is professional, courteous and communicates effectively. The teachers are well trained and my children absolutely love them. Even the assistants are loving and supportive and very well trained in the Montessori curriculum. The person who said you can't talk directly with the teacher is not being fair. I doubt any of that happened. You can talk to the teachers ANYTIME. At drop off or pick up. And if you need to have a private meeting, they are extremely accommodating. There are gardens all over the school where they pick produce, citrus trees, playgrounds and a SPLASH PAD for the kiddos to enjoy during the summer. They have bi-annual reviews on how your child is doing, there are potlucks, cookie exchanges, an epic art show and tons of extra activities like music, art and PE. They also do school photos each semester. I don't know if I missed anything but you're missing out if you don't go tour and give them a shot. Worth every penny!! read more

When we moved back to Phoenix I wanted a school I knew my child would transition well into. She was in another school in Florida and I wanted a school she could adapt to easily.
