I would suggest you to do your due diligence; We are in 2017 and those negative reviews were a couple years ago. however I feel like I should share. I'm a mother of three kids and I have seen several different types of schools, preschools and daycare's. I pay attention when I walk around and what's going on and look at everyone in each classroom and here at Kindercare they're all doing their job. As a parent we know we're not always smiling with our own kids daily--we can't expect the teachers always to. As long as they're kind that's all that matters. The reviews below look like someone caught someone on a rough day I don't know anything about them making a Child "cry when it was smiling" but I can say I've been disciplining my children before and they were smiling while I was doing, sometimes a smile is ones way to say they're uncomfortable so we don't know all sides. Most importantly I feel like each one of my children's teachers: ms. Lauren, ms. Marie and especially Ms. Alyssa-who's always smiling and taking her time to chat with us are amazing. Kylee the director and co director Samantha have all gone out of their way to be kind. I'm telling you to do the due diligence and see for yourself because I'm very pleased!

We withdrew our 3-month-old son after his very first day. He was at the daycare from 8:00 a.m. to…read more3:45 p.m. and only had one documented diaper change. When we picked him up, his diaper was extremely heavy and heavily soiled, which was extremely concerning. He also came home with an unexplained bruise on his arm. On top of that, while reviewing the camera feed, there were extended periods where he was completely out of view, making it impossible for us to know where he was or what care he was receiving. As parents of a 3-month-old, we expect attentive care, regular diaper checks, and transparency. Unfortunately, our experience did not give us the confidence to continue entrusting our son to this daycare.

I've had the opportunity to work at Explorers in Learning, twice. Which means I have more insight…read morethan most who quit after two weeks or a month. Back in 2018, EIL was a place where it was an honor to work there. The directors got along, and if they didn't I never saw it. They were respectful and focused on the children more. Staff that were there had been there a long time. They stood for something. They gave raises and praise. My first year there, I received a 2 dollar raise. My second time around, I received .37 cents. Now, EIL is not a place for growth of development. They do not care about you as a teacher, but they love to have you as a body in the classroom. I'd recommend asking them how their turnover rate is. Just in my 1.5 years (with a 2 month unpaid maternity leave) there, I've seen plenty of staff come and go, 20 that I can think of off the top of my head. A business owner once told me, "Happy people don't leave." I'm not trying to tarnish your thoughts on EIL, but it's not a place to work if you have your own thoughts and opinions. The only benefit they offer is PTO if you work over 32 hours a week. As much as the parents pay, I spoke with two of them outside of work and they were shocked to hear that as pricy EIL is, they do not offer any benefits. If you put your notice in, make sure you use your PTO before you go. I was denied my measly 6 hours of PTO on my last check. As a single mother of two, that's a full days pay as I worked part time. As much praise I received from the assistant director, the parents, and the bonds with the majority of the staff there, the director and one out of two of her daughters who work there are drama filled. They ask you personal information, so they can report it back to her. You're not able to fully express yourself without walking on eggshells. If you want to be in the office, dealing with drama, gossip, a place where the director admittedly said she only knows 5 percent of what goes on in the center, and stress then sign right up, they're always, ALWAYS hiring. You'll have a staff meeting once a month to talk about the same thing without a solution. Ironically, even though I had my issues with the director, the parents and students loved me. Before maternity leave, the director made the decision to remove me from infants since I raised concerns about the ethics in the classroom. Shortly after being removed, a formula fed child drank breastmilk that didn't belong to her. I assume the director removing me from the classroom was to get me to quit, but it didn't. She put me in Bumblebees where I thrive as well. Then a bonus... I had all my babies that I started with and gained in infants. I was extremely happy. One last thing... "Policy is situational" per the director. So really, it isn't policy. Policy is only enforced if you are disliked. From a parents point of view: The teachers are pretty good. My son was in Inch Worms and the bond he created with his teachers and the assistant director was like no other. I appreciated the love they gave to him. They allow you to bring you own food in which isn't common. My son never ate the food there though. It doesn't look very appetizing. The teachers are great, but they don't stay very long. From January to August, my infant child had two lead teachers quit. One negative about the parent aspect is a parent said they were pulling their child because the director can't get along with his wife. That was such a sweet family and they're gone because of the director.

When you walk in, the dazzling smiles of Dana, Lauren, and Athena greet you and your child by name and remember details about you and past conversations. Amber and Debbie made my son feel safe and taught him how to spell and write his name, the alphabet, cutting, etc. Brittany, Susie, and Mona interact with every child and you can just really tell how much each person at the school cares. When my other child is older this is the only preschool I would even consider.

It's taken me approximately 6 years to complete this review, although it should take you only 6 minutes to decide to bring your kiddos to this place. These folks do God's work, literally daily. I don't have the patience or aptitude to do what they do, and I'm so thankful they're here. I can't imagine managing in this type of environment and the director, Jennifer is masterful. Like most businesses, there's turnover occasionally with teachers, but having had both of my kids go through most of their lives here, everyone has been caring and professional. Now, as you may have guessed, I'm not exactly the type of parent who is overly involved... err, micromanagey, so, I let them do them, and I'll do me. That arrangement seems to produce the best results. Kids will be kids, they'll do what they do, and again, these wonderful people are here daily watching them grow and teaching them stuff. My kids would've basically already turned into Blippi if they were home with me all day, because that's all they would ever do. The classrooms are clean, the grounds are nice and the kids are well taken care of. This place is a hidden gem and it's largely because of the people leading and the teachers commitment to the kids. I hate writing this because, the more people who read it, the more will bring their kids here, thus increasing my cost, but in this case, you have to know what it's like here-- I can't hide this gem any longer. Each classroom also has a refrigerator, sink, and countertop. They have all sorts of sections of the classroom for imaginary play, sensory tables, reading areas, science areas, little kitchen, crafts galore, and more. They do different themes all year long and appeal to so many different interests. They give the kids a dependable routine while also allowing them to learn through play. The teachers are so gentle and kind, and my kids loved them. The administration is also wonderful, quick with communication, and kind. The love of God and of Christ is palpable amongst the school and my kids would always come home with a greater desire for prayer and a knowledge that Christ loves them. I love that the school welcomes parent volunteers in the classrooms but also in the events and activities they put on throughout the year. Some of my favorite events are the Praise Picnic around Thanksgiving, the Christmas Program, Preschool Prom, and the Dr. Seuss Picnic. The Preschool Prom is my absolute favorite and it creates some of the best and sweetest memories with your little ones. The pictures from the proms we attended there will live on my fridge forever!
