Now my younger son is enrolled, and what really stands out is that so many of the same staff are still there. That kind of consistency speaks volumes about what a great place this is--it's rare to see a team stay together for years, and it shows the strength of their program and culture. My son (3) has been coming here for two years now and my daughter (2) has been here for a little over a year and I absolutely love it here. I stopped by on accident thinking it was a different daycare, but it was the best mistake ever. The teachers know my kids by name, and they love them and we love the teachers. My daughter has been attending this day care for about 2 years now and we LOVE IT! The director Gisselle really makes sure my daughter and myself are comfortable, I always receive picture updates on how my daughter is doing without being asked. My daughter is very antisocial but when we arrive at this daycare she becomes a social butterfly, she loves the teachers and staff! The staff is really professional and caring as well, my daughters teachers helped me out a lot with showing my daughter numbers,colors and potty training. CLA is a great learning and care center for kids. My child has been attending there for many years and advanced through the classrooms since infant. I'm a working parent and finding a trusted care center was top priority and it has been a great experience so far. I now have 2 babies that are growing up at CLA. This is the first place I brought my son to post Covid. At that time he had to get re-acclimated to being in daycare after being home for over a year. The staff here was so caring and patient. Not only did he learn to adjust, but he's thriving even in kindergarten now! Updated Review: I was contacted by Children's Learning Center for an open house. Attended the open the house and the facility is really nice. I wanted to give this a chance as the person who I spoke with on the phone was nice. I still don't understand why they can't provide rates over the phone, which was the reason why I left my negative review previously. This facility is not a daycare as most parents are probably used too, this facility is truly a school environment for ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. It's very clean, and the students each have a classroom designated for their age. I was provided the curriculum and schedule by the gal who I toured with. She was very professional and offered some advice for me as a new parent in the Laveen area. We're absolutely interested in Children's Learning Center. They do hold an open house every few months or so. If you are in the area and looking for a facility for your children I would advise to consider Children's Learning Center. I did apareciste how polite and professional they were even after I left my previous negative review. It's says a lot about a business and it's employees when they still welcome you with open arms after being criticized. read more

I have 4 DES CHILDREN in my home. At first the director was very nice and gave a good pitch and sold me. I explained to her that they were my nieces and nephew and how they already were in a bad situation! She reassured me how great the daycare was! Well today she called me with a loud voice and said DES had not paid for the youngest 2 year old which is my nephew, and demanded I pick him up NOW!! I told her I couldn't because I'm working she then threatened me that I would have to pay out of pocket if I did not get him NOW! I told her I would call someone to pick him up And I told her I was not going to pay she knows that DES will pay. I went myself to pick up the kids and I told her I spoke to 3 ppl they all said from DES and CPS that they did call a few times to authorize payment, I also explained they had his last name wrong and I told her not to be threatening me with her anger about payment. We went back and forth then she says well she's kicking all the kids out!! ( "And that's how she does business when she can't control a parent" ) after she took all the deposits and they were there for 3 weeks! I explaining to her that DES said they would get the authorization! Then her assistant jumped in for her saying it's not there problem basically, I was going to move them anyways just waiting on the new daycare to let me know when they can start, This daycare is 40 kids to 2-3 workers and the kids come home saying negative things. I believe the caregivers are stressed because there very nice! but this director and staff are the cause for too many children. Also sitting in front desk talking about employees, calling everyone "babe" or hun ( parents) , I also told them not to address me in this way I'm not there babe or hun!! , and the food they serve is disgusting wheat pancakes, bread with cheese, some type of macaroni that my niece says it looked like it had mold!! Idk and I asked the director if I could bring them lunch the director said no because of state rules the next day my niece said they brought pizza for some of the kids because they been good! Everyone that deals with DES daycare knows they are going to get paid. I think there discriminating on children from DES because how she came at me! So all this anger and frustration because of money, SMH And I'm still going to report this staff to the main office. So there it is!! read more

We had both our daughters come here last year since they were both babies until our youngest daughter got injured. She got a broken clavicle bone and the daycare workers said they never saw her get hurt. They don't have live cameras in the classrooms so it was hard to see what happened or how she got hurt. After this incident we took our daughter out and she went to a daycare with cameras. We ended up paying for medical bills ourselves since this daycare never confessed what happened to her. read more

I have my two boys at CLA and we love it. Both of my son's have been there since they were 10 weeks old and they are now in the 2 & 3 year old classes. The staff treats my children like family, and I never stress about their care. We love their teachers. Jia is an amazing administrator, and has taken a personal interest in our children's care. I like that there seems to be little turnover when it comes to the main staff. We get pictures of the children during the week, and we get projects and printed photos of our children to take home. read more

This place has been nothing short of amazing for BOTH my children, ages 3 and 6 (5 when he was here). They were personable, extremely professional, and genuinely cared about their jobs. This starts with their center director, Ms. Gissel, to her assistant Director Ms. Veaney, and also their education specialist Ms. Tanya! Not to mention every teacher we've encountered has been nothing short of amazing! The curriculum is top notch, they communicate extremely well, and definitely make you feel like your children are in good hands when you drop them off. If I could, I'd give this school 6 stars. My 1.5 year old was suffering from separation anxiety when she started at CLA, but the staff and teachers would take turns holding her and comforting her while I had to be at work. No matter how long she cried, they would never let her feel alone. My child has tuff mornings during drop off still but when I come back to get her in the afternoon, she runs to me with a huge smile. She told me I could come tour the place immediately, During the tour she remembered my daughter's name, which is a first because people always have a hard time pronouncing her name. They offer summer programs and school break programs and he loves attending. It is always tough to find a place and people you can really rely on to take care of your children the right way, but Children's Learning Adventure - Laveen has been a great place for all 3 of my children. I love the fact that I can have a real relationship with the staff there - The Assistant Director Gissel has always been extra attentive to the needs of myself and my children. There was one instance where my daughter had a misunderstanding with a teacher there and the director Brooke handled it quickly and efficiently! All CLA has is very nice and upgraded facility. They don't teach kids anything. We put our toddler in CLA for about 2 month, she didn't do any art work but one piece of paper with "M" on it, and they did it on the day when we complained that they didn't have enough art work. They don't have enough teacher either. Everyday when I walked in, all I see is one teacher changing diapers, the other teach cleaning up toys. Kids just running around and do whatever. It's terrible. One time I walked into the class and saw teachers showing videos on the phone to the kids. We had to transfer her. read more

We moved to this daycare for my son shortly after a terrible experience with Tutor Time on 75th and Lower Buckeye. Our experience at Tutor Time was one of a complete lack of contact and oversight of the children in their care - teachers were on their phones texting while they were supposed to be looking after children, sticking kids in front of movies, it was awful. The experience we've had so far at Children's Learning Adventure could not be more opposite. Each morning, I'm greeted with a friendly little conversation, and every evening I get details about how our son's day was, as well as a conversation with his teacher in the classroom to talk about what is going on. He gets to visit different rooms throughout the building - which by the way is super clean, well appointed, and well taken care of. He's already showing progress with his vocabulary and speech, rather than regressing to babble and crying (as he was at Tutor Time). To support that, he actually gets assigned weekly homework that my wife and I complete with him at home - fantastic practice for school, and a great way to ease him into it. Rather than being scared to get dropped off, my son is excited to go to daycare every day, because of all the cool things he gets to do. I couldn't be happier. read more

This place is awful. The front desk staff is regularly heard cursing and talking about things that should be talked about in private. The director Brooke has the phoniest personality EVER. I literally watched her talk to an employee with the door closed and when the employee exited the room she rolled her eyes and cursed under her breath. I do not think she realized I saw her. That being said- this place is very expensive for what it actually is. You cant even get a quote for how much it will cost you over the phone, you have to come tour with them which is very inconvenient. There are always accident reports being sent home, and with a little one that gets really old. Maybe you should hire someone who is not fresh out of high school. This building looks NOTHING like you see on the website. There is no basketball court or art studio. Just a bunch of overpacked rooms with barely any toys . I'm telling you if you can get past the fiasco at the front desk and actually do a tour the price you will be quoted will be way way way too high for what you get. The staff seems to turn over pretty quickly too which leads me to believe they don't like it there either. But after I seen how the director treats her employees no wonder they don't stick around. I recently enrolled my newborn to Children's Learning Adventure! The professionalism of Brook and her staff has blown me away! My child is only 3 months old and is the happiest baby in the world everyday he leaves here. I receive a daily report of what he does and I'm impressed with the attention to detail into developing my son's motor skills and such. This daycare, in my opinion, is the best in the valley. I highly recommend Children's Learning Adventure in Laveen because of their friendly staff, and education they have shown my two children. They have attended CLA for 2 years now. The front office staff, Ana and Jia along with others have been helpful with any questions we may have. I enjoy having my children here because the director Brook is also involved with the children and communicates well with parents and our concerns. I have been mostly happy with this daycare for both my kids. There has only been one teacher I didn't care for, but I think that happens at any school. The staff has always been helpful and answers questions. I love it that my daughter hugs on some of the office people (Tameka and Keesha) and they seem to really love her. The one thing I will say, and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is that it really just seems so corporate, which is both good and bad. I like that they have pretty strict rules with the kids but I also don't feel like the teachers stay with the same class for long. Teachers seem to be moved around a lot or they quit. That makes me wonder. They also ask for extra money for your child to lock in a spot for Pre-k about 6 months earlier. I thought that was a little much considering we pay a materials fee every year and the cost of the care itself isn't cheap. The daycare is clean and fun looking. My daughter loves it there and my son sometimes doesn't want to go, but he is not even 2 yet. They seem to do lots of activities and have lots of artwork. They read lots of books and I really like that. I am hoping that my daughter will test into an advanced kindergarten because of the learning done here. read more
