She was presumed to be singling out and having other children degrade my child as well as other kids. When head staff was presented with this matter, multiple times last year 2023 it was shrugged off, and all of my emails were ignored or returned with empty remarks. Right before his second grade year started, parents of the children in my sons classroom had told me that my son was being treated poorly and that is why some of our kids were bonding because they were sticking up for him. When I approached the head staff about this, they told me they would not be switch classrooms and I was for a lack of better terms out of luck. Then disenrolled my son after I said he wouldn't be attending if he could not switch classrooms. Poor community really bad people skills and a huge lack of empathy for the children who go to the school. it really is all about money here. I am happy. He is no longer enrolled at the school. In those two years, he has truly blossomed. The school has provided an incredibly loving, nurturing, peaceful, and enriching environment that supports not only academics but also social and emotional growth. His teacher, Ms. Lynn, has been extraordinary--gentle, attentive, and genuinely invested in his development. Ms. Meaghan, the director, leads with both heart and high standards, ensuring every child receives exceptional care and education. My child has also benefited from Spanish lessons with the wonderful Sra. Dolores, gaining confidence in both English and Spanish. Moreover, AFM offers this level of quality education at a significantly more affordable tuition compared to other Montessori schools in the area. They have not only taught my son--they have loved him. This is something I will never forget or be able to repay. I wholeheartedly recommend AFM to any family seeking a school that truly nurtures both the heart and mind of children while fully supporting their parents.

My wife felt the same way. Picking your child's first school is a very important step in parenthood. I was nervous and excited for my daughter to start her educational career at Adobe Montessori. So much so that I actually spent the first day of school sitting in my car in the parking lot, just in case the school needed me to pick her up for any reason. She loved the school from the first day, and I was so relieved. This school was the perfect fit for her. We loved the school so much that when the time came for our younger daughter to go to start school, we had her attend the same school. My family trusts the staff there. They are all good people. They genuinely cared for my children and my children loved them. I owe them my deepest appreciation for helping to mold my children into good people. Adobe Montessori was more than just a school, it is a place that works with families to teach their children how to be independent thinkers. My children are in the public school system now. They are in a more "traditional" system. I know that a lot of parents out there worry about how their children will transition into a traditional school. When your child leaves Adobe Montessori, he/she will already be trained to adapt to any situations the traditional school system present. Adobe Montessori is a great first step in your child's journey into the world of education.

I never worry about the safety or emotional well-being of my daughter while she's at school. My daughter is in Mrs. Coleman's class, and you couldn't ask for a better preschool teacher. She and her teaching assistant, Jessica, are kind and patient with the children, but also teach them what behavior is not acceptable. Not only does my daughter learn the educational building blocks she'll need for elementary school (reading, writing, arithmetic), but she learns good manners, sharing, being polite, and being a good friend to all. As she tells me, "We're all friends at Adobe Montessori." Adobe also has a flexible "pay what you use" pre- and after-care policy, rather than charging a set fee regardless of how much after-care you use. The school is also in a lovely setting with a grass courtyard; I toured over a dozen preschools, and this was one of the only ones to get natural light into the classrooms. The playground has modern equipment (fun, but still safe for preschoolers), and the school has a variety of activities throughout the year (petting zoo, parent parties, parent education nights, an annual operetta put on by the children). They also offer dance and music classes.

I will be honest…read moreenrollment felt challenging I think our application got lost in the sauce BUT once we were in, I couldn't be more grateful for the experience we have had. Every parent wants that school that feels like home, like their child is valued and seen, and where they are respected as parents - that's this school. My son (now 5) has a lot of energy, and a speech delay. The prior Montessori school he was at labeled him as "too much" and told me he needed to be in a "dedicated special education program". We got to DGM with Ms. Tessa (Primary), and wow she's an absolute unicorn of a teacher! She teaches emotional regulation in her classroom, her room full of 26 kids listen to her with ease. My son is so loved in her class and he has grown so much (in just 1 school year)! She's not a special education teacher she just knows how to teach with mindfulness, care, and the utmost attention. I wish all families could experience a school like DGM and a teacher like Ms.Tessa. Even the teaching assistants & school staff are so loving & kind. If your family is interested I 20/10 recommend. If money is holding you back, speak to the school about scholarships and aid, the school Director is amazing, she will make time to talk to your family personally. Coming to DGM was a life changing move for our family. I'm forever grateful! Excited for many more years at DGM!

My daughter was physically abused by her assistant teacher in this private school "Desert Garden Montessori." It was during lunch time that my daughter was feeding water to her best friend. Mrs. Kristen, the assistant teacher, sees her goes over to her, pulls her hard by her arm and places her close to her face and says "Stop doing that she's not a baby." Leaving her finger marks under my daughter's arm from how hard she had pulled her. The school told me two different stories and none of them matched. The director and owner Shetal did absolutely nothing to protect other children and their safety as Kristen was never suspended or under any formal investigation. SHE IS STILL WORKING THERE. The director didn't even bother to look at the pictures during the first meeting with her and when she finally saw them by email she responded to me that they looked faded. Two weeks after they finally looked at the outside cameras because I asked for that, and found nothing other than Amy daughter just playing. Also, two weeks after other employees such as the social worker and HR were aware of what had happened. TWO WEEKS AFTER. And that was because I spoked to them. The pictures speak for themselves and my daughter's story does too. My daughter was so afraid and so blocked from what had happened as at home we don't do any physical damage. When I asked her why she didn't tell me some details sooner she responded: "Mom I didn't want Mrs. Kristen to be mad again." This is insane. This lady was cleaning tables when she saw my daughter giving water to her friend she proceeded to remove one of her gloves and pulled and grabbed my daughter so hard that she left her fingers marked on her skin. "It hurt mom. It hurt a lot and all I wanted was mom and dad." I'm disgusted by this situation and as a mother, this was definitely one of the hardest things I had ever gone through. The least thing a school should provide is safety and this school cannot even give you that. The Chief Investigator of the State Board of education was disgusted by this situation and in disbelief at the way this was handled by the director Shetal. I quote "These marks are severe and that woman who did them knew exactly what she was doing. Someone with this temperament cannot and should not be around children" Please keep your children safe and do not send them to this school who will never care for you as a parent or even as a human being.

Also Ms. Erin, in charge of enrollments, is probably one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. Now on a more serious note: I had a horrible experience with the "HR rep" and Director of the school, and it's tough for me to write this because I wanted to like this school, and I'm still in shock a bit on how things ended. My 2yr old son had several accidents at this school, majority of which caused injuries to the face - one of which resulted in him losing a tooth, another had his nose looking like he was in a boxing match. Now, any parent knows that accidents happen, the frustration is with the vague incident reports and communication regarding these accidents. I.e telling me "a friend scratched his nose"... then upon pickup his nose was so swollen, his pediatrician recommended I take him to the ER for imaging. At the ER the nurses and Doctor questioned the story and asked if maybe an older child was involved, if it was a closed fist hit, an hit with an object, or maybe even a fall because the "scratch" was more of a scrape on the entire right side of the nose (no little finger nail marks). I brought these concerns to the school, and in short their response was an apology for the "scratch on his nose" and they unenrolled (kicked out) my son from the school due to me "questioning his care". I sent pictures via email of his bruising that was developing as the swelling went down (the inner corners of his eyes and all around the bridge of his nose had greenish bluish bruising), and they told me I "wasn't a doctor" and to "leave the diagnosis to a professional". NOTE: The ER held off on imaging because despite the blood inside his nose, and all the swelling, they could see he was able breathe through his nose so they advised to let the swelling go down and then maybe see and ENT specialist after that. They diagnosed him with a nasal abrasion and nasal contusion, and advised that I question the school more because it was not "just a scratch".... but since I'm not a "professional" to IKM (the HR Rep and Director) my questions and words weren't valid. The ER papers I guess didn't really matter either. My son is 2 years old and despite all the changes with the many teachers, he thrived education wise at that school and IKM said (via email) that maybe I needed "1 on 1" care for my son and all they could offer is a class of "21 - 26 student with 2 teachers". I had requested an in person meeting, and they refused to meet with me, they repeated to me when my sons last day would be, and stated that there "was nothing further to discuss". If you choose this school, I pray you and your child have a better more kind and compassionate experience than I did. Remember that HR and Management (the Director/owner) are the backbone to the school. Without having a solid backbone/foundation that's leading with their hearts - horrible experiences like this will continue to happen. That's not okay.

Attached to the message was a picture of my sons face with an extremely large bruise on his left cheek bone. An incident like this warrants more than just a text message from their staff. A phone call would have been more appropriate. Especially since their was a head injury. I most certainly question what their staff is doing during their outside play time, because Ive had multiple conversations / incidences with staff in regards to the little kids playing in the "big kid area" it's clearly not safe for them near there. Unfortunately bc of this incident we are no longer having our son attend Heartprints Montessori. Self-directed activity doesn't mean you let these toddlers do whatever they want and not observe/watch them.
