My son has been attending Learn N play since he was just under a year old and is now almost 4! Throughout his time there he has had wonderful teachers who have genuinely cared for him and have contributed to his growth. Ms. Jenn and Ms. Heather are his current teachers and they are AMAZING! They have taught him so much including but not limited to fine motor skills, gross motor skills, self-advocacy and supported with his toileting. They ensure to validate his feelings and make him feel comfortable/safe. Not only are there wonderful teachers but everyone who works in the front office (Abbi, Priscilla and Jacki) are always welcoming and quick to respond whenever needed. This is the best child care / before and after school program location in the valley. They truly care about your kids and take care of them as if they are their own. The establishment is kept extremely clean and safe. The staff always greets you with smile. I could go on about reasons I would recommend this place. I love this daycare. I bring my 6 month old here after I had to return to work from my maternity leave. The teachers are so sweet and they really care about my baby. As a new mom, my family is constantly trying to adjust to new feeding methods and amounts, introductions of real food, and all else that comes with learning a new baby. They are willing to help with the adjustments and make me feel at ease. They also have an app where they track all of his feedings, naps, and diaper changes. They even send pictures of him playing or concerns of his skin. I always feel in the know and I would trust all my children with them. Can't recommend them enough read more

Three years ago I had my first daughter, I researched all of the local daycares. We joined one on the recommended by a friend and our daughter was not treated the way we wanted. I then tried Learn N' Play. I came in as a paranoid mom filled with terror at leaving my baby again. When I joined Learn N' Play they were wonderful with me. They dealt with my extra terror and panic by giving me lots of extra details every day and all my extra phone calls. Eventually, I relaxed and realized that Learn N' Play was everything I had hoped for. You become a part of their family when you join Learn N' Play. They take care of you and your family. We all know that sometimes things happen at daycares that we as parents are not ok with, anytime over the three years I brought something to the directors attention she handled it exceptionally. She addressed the issue with me, and made sure to address it with her teachers. I was always pleased with the outcome and felt comfortable talking with the director. We never had any large concerns to deal with. My daughter has lots of allergies. The daycare provides lunch and snacks for the kids but my daughter can't have their food so we pack lunch and snacks for her everyday. There have been multiple times we have forgotten her lunch. The teachers and directors would go out of their way to make sure she has enough food and snacks that she can safely eat. When I forgot it was her first picture day ever, they went out of their way to find a super cute outfit and dressed her up. Now this might not seem like a big deal but I was so sad when I realized it. They took the time and went out of their way to fix my small issue, because they knew it was important to me. They get to know the families and make sure we are happy everyday. I can't write a review long enough to tell everyone how wonderful this daycare is. We have been apart of their family for three years. We love it. We are leaving the daycare now but that is ONLY because we are moving to a different state. read more

We love our Learn N' Play family and are so lucky to have our three kids here. The staff are excellent and attentive, you can tell they really care about our kiddos. We adopted a sibling group, and have found their classrooms are run with the same positive behavior reinforcement approach to discipline that we use at home. In addition, they have been flexible with and supportive of my middle child's sensory processing needs. The staff are happy and many of them have been there for years, which adds to the family feeling of Learn N' Play. The only challenge we had was waiting for an opening, and they were absolutely worth the wait. read more

Both of my boys attended Learn N' Play and I could not be happier they did. The staff are loving and caring and put their whole heart into creating a fun and safe environment for the children. This is a great family owned daycare. My kids have been going here for about 3 years now. They are both in the afterschool program now. They do a lot of field trips during the breaks. They'll feed my kids before school , drop them off and pick them up. This helps a lot as we live on the other side of town and leave our house so early. They are also a great bargen, especially when compared to the big name daycares. read more

Good people, but the school is not equipped to work with gifted children and uses a one size fits all approach to teaching and behavior modification. Countless times our child was singled out, treated differently, isolated, and had all of his activities taken away, due to his hyperactivity, and behavior, much of which was attributed to behavioral disorders. Despite many efforts and suggestions to try new things with my son, the isolation and unfair treatment continued to the point that we took our son out of the program. You can't have a one size fits all approach to teaching and behavior modification. The square hole in a round hole method doesn't work effectively. This school would be better if they paid less focus on numbers and more focus on quality over quantity. Also, when parents have suggestions, it would be imperative that the school take them into consideration and not disregard them. read more

Our daughter has been attending Teach n Fun for 4 months now, and we absolutely love it. You can tell that all the teachers genuinely love their jobs and the kids. They are so warm and nurturing, and it's amazing how much my daughter has learned since starting there! We had my daughter at another large chain facility for her part time daycare. There were a lot of reasons we chose to change daycares, but ultimately we decided to try Teach N' Fun in Ahwatukee because of the reviews here on yelp. We were hesitant simply because we had been with out last place for over 2 years. We really wanted to make sure we were making the best choice. The staff were more than accommodating for our needs. They let my daughter try the daycare for free, and introduced her to all the teachers in the facility, not just hers. Our daughter took to this daycare so fast. She used to cry when she knew she would be going to school. Now she is so excited to go. Her confidence has skyrocketed since we made the switch. I get texts from my wife every day about something positive they do for her. The staff really tries to make it fun and the kids all play and have activities that carry over to home in such a great way. I could not be happier with the switch we made, and highly recommend this daycare. read more

We started bringing our sons both here at 3 months old. The staff are very kind and personable with both the kids and the parents. They are family oriented and accommodating when necessary. Learn N play has been my daughters 2nd home since she was 5 weeks old. She's 7 now and still attends the after school program. Most days she complains that we pick her up "to early" (typically 5pm an hour before close ) she would stay there until the doors locked if we let her. I love dropping off my daughter and knowing she is always safe and loved. This center has helped shape who my daughter is and I'm grateful for all the help and support Learn N Play has given me. We have been attending Learn N Play since 2014. My daughter started there when she was 4. The staff became like family. My son was born about a year after we began attending. He started attending at 4 months old. He's now 3 and loves going to see his teachers and friends and my 8 year old attends after school care. The staff has minimally changed. The head teachers are the same in every room as they were 4 years ago. There have been some new teachers here and there over the years and once they get the knowledge they need they are just as wonderful as the others who have been there for years. They have all been great to my children. My kids get so much help learning and they have grown with the same children over the years. I love the friendships that have been formed between the children there. My kids love all of the teachers. My son knows the teachers in the older classrooms and has had experiences with all of the teachers in the daycare/preschool. It's always given me peace of mind as he goes into the older classrooms. I happen to have the privilege to work with these brilliant children and can only brag about my co-workers. We have the best crew, they truly love the kids in our care and strive to create the best experience for the children. Our classrooms have strong- experienced lead teachers who have set a solid environment for our teacher aides and trainees. No environment is 100% perfect for ALL children- everyone is born with their own personality and needs. We encourage all parents to find a center that aligns with their childs and families individual needs. I love my job, I love our families, and I couldn't be more blessed to work in a better school. I love this day care! The staff is competent and loving. They have a curriculum specific to each class. My kids call it their "school". :-) And the owners are always available to address any concerns. Definitely the most reasonable rates in Ahwatukee. I wouldn't send my kids any where else! read more

All my kids go to Teach and fun and I couldn't ask for a better place for my kids to grow and learn. The teachers are all warm and friendly and treat the kids like they are their own. My kids are far more advanced than other kids their age and I attribute much of that to what they learn at Teach n fun. read more

I brought my infant to this location for only 13 days before taking him out. My son is 3 months old and was in the infant room. The woman Dove that works in the morning is awesome and super sweet, you can tell she loves children, however the girl Chelsea that works in the afternoon is TERRIBLE! The first week of going here Chelsea told me they had an inspection so they had to keep all the babies occupied and on the floor and they couldn't be in the swings or bouncers but after their inspection they pretty much do whatever they want and do not comply with regulations. One day I went to feed my baby during my lunch break and while sitting in the infant room Chelsea was asking basic questions that she should already know if she was caring for infants. She had to ask another worker if she should take off a babies jacket and when the other worker instructed her to check and see if the baby was hot or cold Chelsea said she didn't know how to do that, the worker then told her to feel the babies hands and see if they were warm or cold and Chelsea then replied with she cannot tell, which caused the other worker to go over and check the baby and then remove the jacket from the baby as she was too hot. If you are going to be caring for infants you should be able to know these basic items. When my son was first enrolled I had told them that he is a very slow eater so it takes some time for him to finish up his milk, Dove was very understanding and would take her time to ensure he was fed well and happy however whenever she would leave Chelsea did not have the same care. When looking at my report sheets they would give my son he would only be eating maybe an ounce after Dove was gone. I do not think Chelsea took the necessary time to feed him so whenever I would pick him up he was crying and extremely hungry. I always had to sit somewhere in my car to feed him before driving back home where he would drink between 4-7 ounces. Clearly he was starving! One day when I went to pick him up he was asleep in a swing facing the wall. I was clearly not happy that my son was asleep in a swing. Chelsea kept asking me if I was upset or mad, she must have asked me 5 times if I was mad. I told her that I did not mind him sleeping however I did not want him sleeping in a swing due to SIDS and he needs to be laying flat on his back while sleeping. Again her incompetence arises! I picked my son up on Monday to find him in his crib exhausted and looked as though he was not breathing, I tapped him numerous times and he was non responsive until I picked him up and then he started making noise. I asked Chelsea about it and she said she was just holding him and he was just tired however he is not usually non responsive while sleeping. I suspect that Chelsea had given him a sleep aid and this is why he was non responsive. His next day at this daycare following that I showed up early to pick him up to find him scratched on both sides of his forehead, the middle of his forehead bruised and swollen along with the right side of his forehead swollen as well. This new girl told me my son hit himself in the head with a ball however they were unable to produce this ball that he supposedly hit himself with. Her and Chelsea were both stuttering and scrambling to fill out their incident report which they had neglected to fill out for the incident until I arrived nor did they contact me to let me know something had happened to my poor baby. I took pictures immediately getting into my car and decided to take my son to our pediatrician to get him looked at because his forehead was extremely swollen in multiple locations. My pediatrician examined him and stated "It is HIGHLY unlikely your infant hit himself with a ball unless this ball weighed 10 lbs, I suggest you start looking for a different daycare." Needless to say that was his last day at this daycare. A few days later I went to pick up my sons things and when I walked in there was not anybody at the front desk area, I went into the infant room and explained to the girl what was going on and why my son would not be back and I showed her the photos I had taken the day of the incident and asked her if she knew where this mysterious ball was, she stated that they do not have anything that would cause that type of damage. I told her that I suspected Chelsea had dropped my baby and lied about it. She mentioned that she has had several concerns herself and she had brought them up to management and management has not done anything about it. I then went to pick up my older sons blanket and sheet and when I walked into the 3-4 year old room it was chaos. The children were running around yelling and screaming, the woman had her nose buried in her cell phone, not paying attention, she did not realize I had even walked into the room. I walked in grabbed my belongings in my sons box and walked right out without the worker even noticing I was even there! THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE!! read more
