The new location is awesome with a lot of parking available on the plaza, some inside seating and some outside seating. It was an okay experience. I was expecting warmer food (temperature) but again, the veggies added on top cool off the whole bowl. Quantity is decent: did the salad base. The place could use a little clean up more often, we did not see anyone wiping tables or chairs while we were there. If anyone is reading this and more familiar with the food there, is anything frozen? The carrots did not have any taste and felt as if they were the frozen kind. One little "off" was the person assembling the ingredients did not understand English very well and I believe that may push customers out if they have to repeat their question 4 times. The food is great I dislike their style of business now. When your order your fries or whatever it 7.75 BUT! Now they charge you a $2 packaging fee which comes up to the high $9 so nearly 10 If I go to chipotles it's the same concept of order food packaging and leaving. They don't charge you $2 to put it in a box and sell it. So I must now pay for food and for the box your suppose to provide? Next time il just bring my own supplies you guys fill that up and il be on my way what kind of backwards thinking is this. You don't go to a restaurant to get food and say by the way since we are boxing it for you must pay a fee. This isn't ups.. Now we even have shipping and handling charges to get your own food. This is my favorite "fast food" restaurant in the whole world. I miss it when I'm out of town. I love the variety of flavors and cuisines. I eat gluten free and nearly everything on their menu is gluten free. If I could have one constructive criticism it would be to offer a GF protein option that's that's not soy glazed. Great place for something new! I love generous servings and the mix of flavors offered. The vegetables were fresh, the spice was hot and everything had lots of flavor. I was really disappointed that the menu here is not the same as the other locations. This is currently not disclosed on the website. A couple months back, they discontinued a lot of menu items at the other locations because "the Domain location won't be offering them" yet the menu and setup is completely different here anyway so what was the point of that?? I hope they don't change the other locations further to match, because not having the burger option or the fried eggs is just about a dealbreaker for me and my husband. When I built my own burrito, with similar toppings to the standard one I was used to, it was overflowing and they were completely unable to wrap it properly. I was able to eat it halfway until it exploded and I had to finish it with a fork. So the dainty artistry with which the food was assembled at the other locations is just not present here either. Maybe its just too close to the opening to judge for now. However: I am still giving them 4 stars because my burrito was still absolutely delicious(put the corn in, it totally makes up for the missing egg), and they have a ton more soft drink options here. Just don't make the same mistake we did, and go in hoping for a burger. read more

I tried this place twice recently. The first time, the spicy chicken bowl didn't seem too spicy, but last time it was extremely spicy. I'm not sure if it was because I added kimchi the second time. The kimchi fries made all the way with beef are amazing, just probably not waistline friendly. Lunch time was insanely busy and loud, you had to fight for parking and then fight for a table, I definitely won't do lunch here again, but dinner time was much more peaceful, at least the Sunday evening I went. read more

Fast food "Korean" (not at all Korean). Smart. Semi-healthy. I tried the noodles and fries, wife tried the tacos. Tacos seemed silly, some foods just aren't meant to be taco'd up. The noodles were delicious. I'd probably pick the burrito ( which I didn't try) in the future to be more healthy than noodles. Fries were okay. I didn't see what the big deal was. Inventive, sure, but the fries themselves were just okay. They also really pile on the mayo. Was expecting better. Also: fun fact, the soy glaze chicken is not SOY glaze chicken, but chicken with soy glaze. My vegetarian wife was not happy. It was my mistake, I read it wrong. We went by today and tried Chilantro since we live nearby. First, I do not share the love of non brand sodas by so many Austin restaurants. Get over yourselves, soda is soda. The kimchi fries were ok and an interesting combination. I liked it and while I'm glad I tried it, I wouldn't go there again unless nothing else I liked was open. 3.5 for sure. I came here after an intense spin class at Kor180. I thought about the kimchi fries. Then I thought about how sore I was going to be the day after from my work out, so opted for something healthier. I went with the rice bowl, which was delicious. I'm not really a fusion cooking kinda gal, so opted for more of the traditional Korean ingredients. The marinaded beef was amazing, the carrot dressing is fabulous. I've been back in the Austin area for 3 years now and I finally made it to Chi'Lantro. A few years ago I ate off the food truck at the Domain and really enjoyed it. I was excited to go to a brick and mortar and try some of the signature items. I went to dinner one evening with my parents and my son who's a year old. Counter service places are ideal for a toddler so this place was already a plus for me. I felt like we ordered everything. We had some kimichi fries, Korean fried chicken wings, tacos with spicy pork, burrito with tofu and kids taco with soy glazed chicken. We all shared to get a taste of everything. Everything has such great flavor. If you like spicy there's lots of it here. I love the wings. They were crispy and had a nice glaze to them. There are so many items to choose from there's something for everyone. The staff was super helpful, patient and great. We had lots of questions since this was our first time. The space is bright and casual. They get bonus points because they have a baby changer. So happy that I finally got to give this Austin staple a try. Can't wait to go back. read more

I love this place and always have! I work nearby and everything on their menu is good from their kimchi fries to their wings to their noodle and rice bowls. I like that this location has their bowls chipotle-style instead of like other locations that have pre-set bowls. The staff is always really friendly and efficient. Their queso is DELICIOUS. You may think, well this isn't a queso place or a wing place or a fries place, and it's true they may not have a lot of options in THOSE areas, but EVERYTHING they do, they do DELICIOUSLY. I love this place. I remember loving them when I knew them as just a food truck near campus and I still love them as they have several brick and mortar locations set up. I particularly liked this spot because of the assembly line style they have for ordering. If you are bad at making decisions or don't know what tastes good with what you can get your order "signature style" which has the toppings you would usually get when you ordered their items before but now if you are explorative and know your way around a flavor palate you can customize your toppings. Great location! The setup here is similar to Chipotle unlike the other locations in Austin. I love that they keep expanding. Great Korean everything! My first experience was trying the famous kimchi fries. Deeeelicious!! Add the fried egg and it's magical. Rice bowl is good too. The Ribeye Bulgogi beef is seasoned just right, kimchi is a nice touch. I recommend adding magic sauce to top off the masterpiece ;-) Texture, spice, and flavor are all winners here! read more

Ah, this place has wonderful food. I love the Mexican Asian fusion and the idea of customizing my order to fit my tastes. I usually get their noodle bowl which I pile on with delicious veggies, pork or chicken and some awesome sauce. I feel like I get more bang for my buck that way. Working in the food industry for years, I KNOW how annoying that is and normally if I have to do this, I am greeted with attitude but the staff at this store took my order no problem and was so nice to me even though I got there as they closed.
