I get take out from here periodically. On Sunday I went in. I ordered steamed wontons, pork fried rice, spare ribs and egg rolls. The egg rolls didn't have much flavor and I couldn't tell what was in them. The steamed wontons with the dipping sauce were just lovely, fragrant and delicious. Pork fried rice is old school, tasty and nice to see. I haven't tried the ribs yet. I have read other's reviews. When I order Chinese food from this place it's always regular Chinese food with no other cuisine flavors. read more

When my friend told me that there was a Peruvian/Chinese restaurant around, we decided to check it out. This restaurant was my 7th and last stop in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area culminating my Peruvian culinary experience. My expectation were high, I haven't had Chinese/Peruvian since I have been to Peru. The food wasn't bad, but I had better Chinese food. The portions were large; definitely what a Peruvian would call tay-pa. I didn't order anything special, some vegetables and some fried rice. My friends ordered the fried noodles. I ask if she thought the food had a Peruvian flavor, and she said no. They had Lucuma ice-cream and that save the day for me! Maybe is the fact that there are so many Peruvian people that makes you think you are somewhere in Peru. Chifa TayPa is a very ambitious project. I don't think you could have this type of food, but only in Peru. It is the fusion of so many years that could not be imitated outside the country. Would I go back? I'm positive that they changed owners. I used to come here for many years and my family and I were always treated kindly by an older gentleman who was a server. It doesn't feel like a Peruvian chaufa restaurant anymore. The service now feels extremely rushed and rude, customer service has definitely gone down. They think they are the only one in the dessert, they don't have an idea how to treat clients and their food it is not as it was years before, so much expensive, it is not worthy. I love their food!! My family and I go there whenever we can since we live like 50mins away from it. Yes, sometimes it's hard to get the employees to notice you, but I'm there for the food, not the service. Their food is a mixture of basic Chinese Take-Out and dishes available at a local "la granja" joint. I am very very surprised with their customer service. They are extremely RUDE, unwilling to please the customer and hesitate when asked for something as simple as a napkin, sauce, or ONE utensil. How am I suppose to eat my food if I'm going somewhere with NOTHING. Like WORK or MY CAR or I don't own anything? It's fine if u pack it with just food, but I asked.... If you are looking for semi-affordable and quick food, this place is it. But the experience and taste in my mouth from speaking to people is beyond comprehensible. I USED TO order Chifa Tay Pa on a weekly basis, but will no longer..I Always order a Dinner Combination, but lately they seem to pick and choose when they want to do "Combinations". It is clearly on their menu and have always ordered in the past. Then they said only on weekdays which I understood. Tonight I was told they never have done the Dinner Combinations and that "Someone copied a fake menu and put it online". Yea Right...!! There's another Chinese restaurant about 1 mile down 441. I now bring my business there and they have good food for good prices. Chifa Tay Pa, that's how you lose loyal/returning customers. Good Job. read more

Favorite Roasted 1/2 duck. Moist and delicious. I get the dynamite House Special fried rice which is chock full of shrimp & egg. Pork egg rolls are crispy and you can't eat just one. House a Special Egg foo young was spectacular and a must are the honey garlic chicken wings. I want to order the honey sauce separately next time be a cause it wii drip pit of the tray and be sticky on everything it touches. Just get a wet napkin--you'll love this place. Good food but very high prices for Chinese and this is not in an upscale area or an upscale establishment (no offense intended). I checked out the reviews online and the menus posted and decided to check it out. I almost had a heart attack when I got there and saw that the prices were significantly higher than the menus that I saw online. I decided to order anyway as a one time treat since I was taking out. I had the chicken egg foo young since I haven't had that in a while. It was tasty but not much chicken or egg in it which means that it was not that filling (mostly bean sprout veggies). Usually I have 1 1/2 patties and I am full. I ate all 3. The gravy was put on top of the patties in the container which I was not used to. There was not enough by the time I cut into the patties and added the rice. There are no combination dishes anymore, so everything came with white rice. As there was no upgrade option, I would have had to pay another $11 for a full pint of fried. My boyfriend had the Beef with garlic which is slices of beef in gravy with broccoli. It was tasty but mostly broccoli. For these 2 meals we spent $32. The restaurant was completely empty at dinnertime and they made my food right away. I was there less than 10 minutes to order and pick up my food. The person who took my order was very pleasant. I would not go back any time soon because of the prices that are at least 1/3 more than your average Chinese food. That is the reason for deducting a star. Been there twice, first time they made me and my pregnant wife move from a table. I refused and they insisted. When I first came in, they said I could sit wherever I wanted- so what the hell then? Then, they made me wait for 10 minutes, no menu, no water. I had to get up and ask for a menu. Still, no service. I think they were intentionally trying to get me to leave. So I did. Second time,the girl was super rude, a second guy I was trying to ask a question about my check kept playing stupid and trailing me off, finally the same rude girl came and gave me a really bad attitude. I don't know what it is that people love about this place so much. I ordered a Chaufa and they gave me a traditional Chinese fried rice, I'm sorry, but they are not the same thing. NEVER AGAIN!!! Horrible service if i could put a zero rating i would... they forgot to give me a fried rice a couple months ago on my to-go order and they didn't give me my money back and insisted on getting a store credit. Today we went to get a fried rice using the store credit and the lady said "a long time had passed" and she wouldn't give us any store credit. They STOLE our money basically. They never gave us the fried rice, the money back, or store credit. When i called back on the phone to know why they didn't give us the money back when it happened they said they had NO TIME TO BE DEALING WITH THIS SITUATION. Be aware of the 2 Chinese women at the front desk! They are very abusive and rude. I picked up $70 on food to go on 12/29/17, after I payed I ask for 1 paper plate for my 8 yr old child, the First Lady said NO and started talking in Chinese to the other lady then the 2nd lady screamed at me saying " No paper plates, we don't have any, they are very expensive, we don't give any". I told her I can see some there, she ignored me and went into the kitchen. That's NOT the way to treat people, even worst, your own customers. Silly me, I even left tips for the to go food. Don't even think of going to this place! Can you imagine getting into a big argument over soup noodles! The waitress refuses to give them to you despite ordering 2 large soups and an order of chow mein! When you tell her to bring them immediately before your food gets cold and you will pay for them, she produces 3 microscopic bags enough for the soup but hardly enough for my chow mein (aren't they called chow mein noodles?)I beg for more and she absolutely ignores me, will not bring another bag under any circumstances! I wouldnt give this restaurant a NEGATIVE star. My family has been going to this restaurant for years and it has always had HORRIBLE service, but my mother loves it. I was there today with my family(mother, father, and uncle). Our order was well over $200 and the family soup had just came out. My mother opened her soda & said it tasted bad, I then tasted it and it in fact did taste bad. I called over the owner and explained the soda was bad, and with an attitude he gave her another one. My mother than opened the new one & told him it was also tasting bad & the soda tasted expired. The OWNER then started YELLING at my mother that he was not going to give her another soda. My mother than said I dont want another soda because they taste bad give me a water, the owner said "NO! You get out I refuse you service & made us to leave over a $1 soda. He then DEMANDED we pay the bill for the food we didnt even eat and take it to go. I refused that and the OWNER pushed me & locked the door. After her cursed out my whole adult family & held us hostage after committing assault and battery on a customer, I had to call the police and run out the side door fearing for my life as he held the rest of my family HOSTAGE in his restaurant. The police then came and freed my family from the restaurant owner. I HAVE NEVER in my life witnessed a business owner assault a WOMAN and hold people hostage. Also a horrible business person as the restaurant was dead , our bill was over $200, and we are regulars, which he lost over a one dollar expired soda. I would send my worst enemy there, but never anyone I like. The place looks right out of a cheap ninja movie. The smell of the place is just as horrible as its service. I want to start off by saying I ordered from here because I was merely too lazy one night to drive to my favorite Chinese place and this one was right around the corner. Being from NYC my chjnese food palate can be a bit critical sometimes but this place just wasn't up to par at all based on reviews I had seen. My bf and I ordered a wonton soup, chicken broccoli, pork fried rice, and some egg rolls. It was all a fail. First, started off with poor customer service. The girl was just rude on phone and when we asked if there were any specials she said well just check online.Now don't you think we did that? Hence why we asked you if maybe you had any specials. Secondly, it took a almost 30 minutes for the delivery order to arrive. I live within walking distance, maybe 5 minutes at most, so don't see why it took so long. Finally, what got to me was that food was lukewarm at best. Wasn't piping hot as most normal food is after it is just cooked. The chicken broccoli had almost no flavor and the fried rice was the same. I didn't have an egg roll as I don't like them but the bf said it tasted frozen like store bought from a box frozen. And my wonton soup only had one measly wonton in it. Needless to say, I won't be going back there ever. I will tell my lazy self next time to just go where I always do and drive the 10 min to and from my normal spot. read more

All I can honestly say for now is that I am HOOKED on their Singapore noodles, which is a rice noodle dish with curry, beef shrimp and vegetables.
