I love Chico's and I love this store! I just recenly met Melody, one of the sales staff, and find her to be wonderful! The South Coast Plaza store isn't nearly as friendly and helpful, in my experience. I live between them, much prefer the Avocado store. Chico's has terrific sales, great variety (from glitz and glam to casual/classic). I don't much care for their cotton t-shirts, however. I'm careful in washing them, but they rarely last through a season. If they'd introduce petite sizes, I'd think I died and went to shopping heaven! read more

My mom and I went to Chico's a couple days ago to make an online return in store. It ended up being much bigger of a hassle than we had expected. They were having a sale due to new arrivals so it was a little bit hectic. It seemed as though the employees had priority customers regardless of who had been waiting, one of my biggest pet peeves I will admit. Nobody seemed to want to help us so I finally gave up and asked an employee that I knew wasn't typically behind the counter to help us out. In comparison to other Chico's this location seemed to have less of a selection. Yelp Star Rating Scale: 2 stars: Meh. I've experienced better. read more

I love Chico's. Sometimes I go in to my local Chico's and can't find anything but I can always be assured that the lovely sales ladies are friendly and professional. Other times I go in and seriously could buy out the whole store particularly with 40% off. How good is that. I've recently lost 40 lb's and it's very difficult to alter clothes that big. So all I can say is "Thank Goodness for Chico's". I love you. read more

I bought a Christmas gift in Nov for my mom. It didn't fit so I tried to return it first week in January. I had a receipt and all tags were still on the blouse. I was told there was nothing they could do because their policy is it had to be returned within 60 days. I couldn't get a store credit or anything. The sales lady was very apologetic but I will never buy from this store again. I have been a good customer for all these years. It's Christmas!!!! They should at least make an exception for the holidays. Terrible return policy. read more

The worst Chico's store I have been to anywhere in the country (and I've shopped at a lot of them), and the only one where I have been overcharged several times due to the employees not entering the assorted discounts and sale prices appropriately. I love Chico's clothing, but think their prices are absolutely insane ($45.00 for a plain nylon tank top - let's be real!), so I buy their stuff on sale or clearance the majority of the time, and apparently I am more familiar with how Chico's discounts work than the employees at this store. One nice thing about Chico's is they let you stack discounts - the sale percentage off, your Passport (frequent buyer) percentage off, a coupon if available, etc., and while this brings the prices down from exorbitant to realistic, it requires the store employees to be able to do math above a first-grade level, which they can't at this store. (It's never been an issue at other stores or online - just at this store.) The most recent episode at this particular location was the last straw. When I have to explain to an employee (unsuccessfully) how to figure out the price of something on clearance that she's overcharged me for - and this is after she spent 10 minutes attempting to unsuccessfully correct the initial mistake , and then explain it again to the manager (eventually successfully) and it turns a what should have been a 15 minute single item return + single item purchase into an hour ordeal, I will take my business elsewhere. To top it off, I requested copies of all of the multiple charges and voids they did in the process of finally getting the price right, and the bubble-head who made the copies didn't even manage to do that correctly, and even worse, I had left the item to be returned up at the register with one employee while I shopped, and then found a different employee putting it back on the rack - before I had returned it, and with my credit card receipt still inside! I'm not dinging Chico's - I love their clothing (on sale!) and will continue to shop online and at other stores, but I will never go back to the CDM store again, and I completely agree with Holley - they definitely seem to have priority customers here, and the non-regulars slip through the cracks. read more

Went in today to find something to wear for a very important job interview. Talked to Melanie and another salesperson about needing assistance. Melanie blew me off immediately, her colleague offered to help but hid behind the register instead. I would have been happy to "buy the place out" if I found the desired career wear, but instead had to find my own way around the store. Lots of people looking for jobs out there...these women were clueless and rude. I just moved from NY...the salespeople in NY were very knowledgeble and helful...guess I am just spoiled! Many thanks to Kathy, another salesperson at Chicos Corona Del Mar, who eventually came to my rescue. She was working much harder (than the other two) to accomodate Chico customers. She was incredibly helpful and kind. read more
